I thought it was overrated. People are going to start throwing things at me with all my comments about books I disliked!

I'm finding it a bit difficult to read, I picked up a hard cover of it along with a hard cover Will Grayson, Will Grayson reasonably cheaply otherwise it's not something I'd normally pick up. But I'm going to try and see it through.

Thanks Heidi I think I finally figured out what was frustrating me. I would have preferred it from Lena's point of view I think.

Dawn (dawnb2) | 29 comments Just finished Blood Red Road (Dust Lands, #1) by Moira Young . I liked it once I got used to the writing style.

Now I can't decide if I should read Birthmarked (Birthmarked, #1) by Caragh M. O'Brien or Unwind (Unwind, #1) by Neal Shusterman or The Iron King (Iron Fey, #1) by Julie Kagawa next. (I'm the type that can only read 1 book at a time). Does one of these 3 fit the Dystopian genre better then the other 2?

message 12607: by Melodie (new)

Melodie (melodieco) Finished Pandemonium (Delirium, #2) by Lauren Oliver and thought it was excellent! Now on to Every Other Day by Jennifer Lynn Barnes !

I saw Every Other Day in the bookstore yesterday. Was wondering how it was. Let us know!

Cassi aka Snow White Haggard | 2261 comments Still reading Street Dreams by Tama Wise . Got distracted when I started reading The Profitable Hobby Farm How to Build a Sustainable Local Foods Business by Sarah Aubrey even though I have no intentions of really running an agriculture business.

Started listening to The Boy Book A Study of Habits and Behaviors, Plus Techniques for Taming Them (Ruby Oliver, #2) by E. Lockhart and am very very very sad the narrator seems to have changed. But like the book.

Iron King is not dystopian. Not sure about the other two

Racheal! That was my problem too. It was two chicks trying to write for one male protaganist and doing a really bad job (I mean he was acting like a pre-teen girl!). Perhaps if they would have wrote it in Lena's POV it would have been better for me.

I have both the 2nd & 3rd audiobooks in my car currently. I'm very sad the narrator changed (very) BUT now that I've adjusted the new one is perfectly fine (but the first one was just so good)

I completely agree with you there! I thought the first half was incredible and the second half let it down. It was still a good read but surprised at just how many people have adored it.

I just finished City of Ashes (The Mortal Instruments, #2) by Cassandra Clare and loved it as much as the first one!

I have finally started The Fault in Our Stars by John Green and am trying to take my time and savor it since John Green is my favorite author.

Yes! I read the first one over and over again as a child. It was my favorite book. However I didn't know that it was a series (I'm not sure if they weren't out yet or if my library just didn't have them) and so picked up the last three and have been reading them.

I probably liked them so much as a kid because Cimorene is such an awesome non-stereotypcial intelligent princess!

message 12632: by Brooke (new)

Tina ♥ Bookaholic (martinabookaholic) I'm sooo excited, I just got Lover Reborn (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #10) by J.R. Ward today and I've already started it in my lunch break. It's awesome and full of Thor, John Matthew, desperation, sorrows and heartache... I think I'm going to cry in this book for Thor and Wellsie.
