I hadn't heard that. They've been trying to make it into a movie since the 70's, so here's hoping it actually takes this time.

I DO like paranormal and I REALLY didn't like A Discovery of Witches (All Souls Trilogy, #1) by Deborah Harkness even though I was sure I'd love it.

Now, it will be Vampire Crush by A.M. Robinson or The Disreputable History of Frankie Landau-Banks by E. Lockhart or Daughter of Smoke and Bone (Daughter of Smoke and Bone, #1) by Laini Taylor . Any advice on which one I should read first?

Yes, although I have to say I was less impressed with Linger (The Wolves of Mercy Falls, #2) by Maggie Stiefvater because it just did not stand up to the first book. However Forever (The Wolves of Mercy Falls, #3) by Maggie Stiefvater was good! I recommend this entire series!

I am one of a very small minority that didn't like Divergent (Divergent, #1) by Veronica Roth . I haven't decided yet if I'll read the next in that series. I did love Delirium (Delirium, #1) by Lauren Oliver though!

I didn't love Divergent either Melodie! Too many questions. Not enough answers. I have the unfortunate habit of comparing everything in the dystopian genre to Chaos Walking and Hunger Games now and it was not in their league IMHO.

I read one called Sea Change that I really enjoyed. I think it was part of a trilogy but I'm not sure. I enjoyed it though. Also, try Everblue, it's pretty good so far from what I read.

Sea Change by Aimee Friedman Everblue (Mer Tales, #1) by Brenda Pandos

Kayla (kaylawrites89) | 352 comments Currently reading The Dig (Zoe and Zeus Trilogy, #1) by Audrey Hart Everblue (Mer Tales, #1) by Brenda Pandos and going to be starting City of Fallen Angels (The Mortal Instruments, #4) by Cassandra Clare

I hate giving up on books, but I'm just not into Abandon (Abandon Trilogy, #1) by Meg Cabot

Also slowly working through Queen of Babble in the Big City (Queen of Babble, #2) by Meg Cabot

I just read it. It was a slow mover and very different but I ended up liking it over all.

Jessica, the link is ^above. It's a group purely focused on the Post-Apocalptic and Dystopian genres. We'd love to have you! Shatter Me is the book we read for January. I loved it.

I didn't necessarily disslike EVE, but it wasn't very groundbreaking. It was like, the quintessential dystopian novel. Not very original, but I didn't hate it.
