Young Adult Fiction for Adults discussion
What are you reading now?
Some recent hits: Breadcrumbs A Monster Calls and Chime as an audio book. The reader's voice was a great addition and every character was "spot on".

600 pages! Much larger than Froi. I love Melina so I am not complaining :)
I finished
It started strong but ended a bit meh for my tastes. Not because of the ending chosen but because of the pov skipping. And right after finishing that I opened
I'm liking it so far.

Did you guys see that there is now a cover and a release date for Bitterblue? Check it out. I like the cover, but I'm not super excited about the wait. Although, it's nice to finally have a release date. It's progress I guess...

I don't dislike it, as much as I don't really understand the significance of the keys. But, reguardless, I'm incredibly excited for the book's release. I love Po and Katsa and I can't wait to get my fix ;)

Nevermore by Kelly Creagh. I like it so far. I had to get over the cliche 'Cheerleader/football player vs social outcast plotline. Note: outcast is a stunningly cool and beautiful boy no one but said cheerleader has noticed until this point (really?) but there are many other aspects of the story that are great...
I read Hounded because of the cover LOL. The writing is clever and plot interesting. On to HEXED, then HAMMERED!

I hate that!! Like no one would notice this smokin' hot boy just because he doesn't hang with the cool kids?? So silly. But let me know how the book is overall, it looks like one that is going to get on my nerves, but it also sounds like it could be cute. So, yeah...let us know :)
Fury (The Fury Trilogy #1) authorMiles, Elizabeth
Bethany, I'll let you know how Nevermore stacks up :) .
S.S. I just put Fury on my 'to-read list because of the cover (author above). The reviews don't sound too good so far, so It's not a top pick, but the cover makes me want it to be good. Soooo beautful!
Started
which I have a galley of and meant to read before the release BUT my cold ate me alive. So far it's much better that the last mermaid book I read, Lost Voices, BUT that book was really bad.

I'm currently reading The Princess Bride, but I get the feeling that my reading rate's going to go way down, seeing as NaNoWriMo starts tomorrow...

. Sharon Kay Penman is great for historical fiction! But just be warned that after you read it you may have a burning desire to become a Welsh freedom fighter. :D

Currently reading
and finding the writing style to not quite flow right for my liking but I'm definitely intrigued enough to read the whole thing.
Stated
(from Netgalley) and the first chapter really drew me in despite the fact I only vaguely remember the first (but I do remember liking it)

this week.
I'm currently filling my breaks in NaNoWriMo with Naruto (the 3-in-1 volume) and the Princess Bride.
you are still reading while you write for the nano?I don't dare to read a book while I want to write a story by myself because I'll get confused :)
I'm reading a book a got from Netgalley, Ashfallby Mike Mullin. It's a wonderful read; fast-paced, suspenseful, decent characters. I'm only about 1/4 of the way through, but I can't wait to get further into it.
