That's one of my favorite poems. The book sounds interesting too, I'll have to check it out!

message 11152: by Cassi aka Snow White (new)

Cassi aka Snow White Haggard | 2261 comments Finished Everybody Sees the Ants by A.S. King and it was really good. And to make things better have been having a really interesting conversation with the author about teen depression and suicide on twitter. Twitter makes me so happy sometimes. Not only can I talk to people about the books I love I can talk to the authors.

Going to start Anna Dressed in Blood by Kendare Blake which I totally stumbled upon at the library on the "New Arrivals" shelf. They also had Ashes (Ashes Trilogy, #1) by Ilsa J. Bick so it was a good day at the new arrivals shelf. (Though a pretty dark day. Maybe I should have a thematic October)

message 11153: by Jim (new)

Jim Franz | 36 comments I still read a mix of paperbacks/hardbacks and Kindle books, but I have to say this: I'm going on vacation, and I love that I can take my Kindle and know that I'll never (no matter how delayed the plane might be) run out of books to read.

I might have to take a pass on reading the author of the month from October; I'm still on Speaker for the Dead (Ender's Saga, #2) by Orson Scott Card and expect to keep reading this series for a while!

message 11154: by Stormi (StormReads) (new)

Stormi (StormReads) (bmreviewsohmy) Finished Variant by Robison Wells I gave it a 3.75 as to me it was almost a 4 but not quite as it reminded me a little to much of The Maze Runner and was a bit repititious with the whole I need to escape theme. Over all if you like Dystopian type books you should probably check it out, but I must warn you it has a cliffhanger ending and makes you really want to scream..LOL. I held my ereader and looked at the words over and over again, and said out loud, "Seriously, thats how it ends!" :) Now how long do I have to wait to find out what happens!! :( I hate cliffhangers! :) Variant comes out on October 4th for those who are interested.

Now back to In the Forests of the Night (Goblin Wars) by Kersten Hamilton :)

Not just my favorite place in the house. I will surely live there and bury myself with books! Lol. I'll even bring my pillows in my library. Haha. God, when will that happen? *sigh*

Ready Player One was different... I loved all those 80's movie references. It was crazy in a good way.

i just finished Half-Blood (Covenant, #1) by Jennifer L. Armentrout which reminded me of Rose in VA. Im reading Frost by Marianna Baer now.

I am listening to Ready Player One on audio. It is narrated by Will Wheaton and I keep thinking of his (Will's) guest role on Big Bang Theory where he place Sheldon's nemisis. It cracks me up.

Jaimie (jaimier) | 1275 comments I am reading Touch of Power by Maria V. Snyder and it is really good so far but I pretty much always love Maria V. Snyder's books :)

message 11170: by Cassi aka Snow White (new)

Cassi aka Snow White Haggard | 2261 comments Started on 13 Little Blue Envelopes (Little Blue Envelope, #1) by Maureen Johnson and finished Sex on the Moon The Amazing Story Behind the Most Audacious Heist in History by Ben Mezrich in audiobook--which is okay, but the back is kinda misleading about what the actual story is and it spends most of the time justifying his actions. The narration is good and its true so I'm glad I listened but I'd say it's a "audio or not at all" type book.

message 11194: by Stormi (StormReads) (new)

Stormi (StormReads) (bmreviewsohmy) How do you like Possess? I liked Darkness Becomes her, so I hope you do too! :)

message 11195: by Kayla (new)

Kayla (kaylawrites89) | 352 comments Possess is good so far, different, but good. I'm still really debating about it because it's just one of those books that you can't put down, but you're not sure if you just like it or you love it.

HON is alright, it's gotten annoying 6 books in, but I'm trying to read all of them. It's probably going to take me a good month or so to read Tempted though because of how much I dislike reading it already. ><

message 11196: by Tina ♥ Bookaholic (new)

Tina ♥ Bookaholic (martinabookaholic) yeah, for me it's the same. But I'm kind of a freak and I can't just stop - I always have to finsh a book series. Wether I like it or not! Hope it will get better again :/
