I seriously think I must have been in a mood when I read Ender's Game because I don't know why I didn't totally love it like everyone else. I certainly didn't hate it or anything and thought it was def. worth the read, but it didn't give me that Melina Marchetta feeling of "Oh MY Gosh" when I was done. Hmmmm.....

I swear, reading Pratchett can get me out of the sourest, foulest, grumbliest moods...he's fantastic. And, BONUS, if you like the way he writes...he's got roughly 80 billion (okay, more like 40) books all set in Discworld, so you'll have plenty of hilarious reading material :D Haha, can you tell that I try my best to spread the good news of Terry Pratchett? :P

Love them all! You will not be disappointed!
I just added Kiera's Moon, and I'm still working on Burning Autumn! I have so much going on that I don't have time to read right now, but trying to keep my nose out of a book is like trying to quit drinking coffee!
Vicki wrote: "Love them all! You will not be disappointed! "I know, I know, we can buy the 3. book soon, so I will know the end of the story:)) and Peeta or Gale?:))
I put down
after a few dozen pages, not because I didn't like it, but because I thought I had the order of the series wrong! I had to double-check to make sure it was the next book in the series, due to the time lapse. Now that I know, I'll be picking it back up again.Beth, I really did enjoy
, but I found myself envious of people who'd read it a decade or two ago, when many of the ideas hadn't already been lifted and reused by a few other books/movie/shows. I still loved it, though, and am grateful it was spotlighted on another thread in this group so I got to experience it myself. And Heidi, I wouldn't worry about not liking Ender's Game. Not every book is for every person. There's nothing wrong with being picky. :)

i cried at book 2 and 3. Poor Cinna. :| *no spoilers* haha
Hi everyone! I've just finished Graceling by Kristin Cashore and am going to dive into Fire as soon as I can get my hands on it! :)

That was one of the things that REALLY impressed me about the book. How accurate he was about technology & ideas that wasn't in general use yet.

I LOVED it!!! Original concept and awesome writing. Totally surpassed my expectations and they were high already.

Krisztina wrote: "Started to read

Arphaxad wrote: "Hope you're having fun with Alex and Artemis, Theo! I love them both :)"So far both are a lot of fun. Not my typical read, but I'm trying to expand my "guy" reads.
Mare wrote: "A Game of Thrones =) I have already read half and love it"I loved that series since it first started. I've only read the first three, then haven't read the last two because by the time I got around to the 4th book, I decided to start all over again. George R. R. Martin might not be the fastest writer, but he sure is good!
Harshini wrote: "Done with

Haha, I do that with books I love as well. :D

Reading
and a eARC of
(This one reminds me to much of The Maze Runner, except they are locked in a school, it has a lot of the same concepts.)
Harshini wrote: "Oh I love that book!!! Tell me how you think it is when you are done!"Just finished and I really liked it. I wasn't sure what to expect going in, and one of my best friends who often recommends books to me had not been impressed, so I was dubious. Thankfully, I was pleasantly surprised. It felt a little like Lemony Snicket to me. I'll probably continue to read the series, although I won't rush to read the next one.

@Anna I liked the end of the Hunger Games trilogy too. What an amazing series
Ali: Oh, yay! :D It seems everyone else I talk to hated it. I mean, I don't know whether they expected a happy ending with rainbows and flowers, but I always knew it wouldn't end perfectly. I would have been pissed if it had.
Lauren wrote: "Currently reading the first in the The Hunger Games Trilogy Boxset and its ADDICTIVE!":D It's one of my favourite series! (Harry Potter will always be first.)
I'm re-reading
. I want to read the second one in case it gets better. Plus, I'm too broke to buy any books at the moment so I have to read the ones I have. :)
Anna wrote: "I'm re-reading

you won't regret it - read through the first and second book and than the third is really good (I gave it 4 points) and now I'M waiting for the fourth *aaah*

It looks awesome. It doesn't have Meghan narrating, so it should be better. Plus, a heap of people have said number three is really good. I feel like I'm missing out. :P
yeah, it's the same with fever - you'r just missing out *lol*I'M really glad you give it another try. But if I were you I would just skip to read the first one again and would go straight to the second. And then the third *wohoo*
and then, when you've finish with this series - we're going to talk about Fever again! :D
