The sad thing is everyone in my office says the same thing. But what can you do about it? Only option is not patronizing them but then there are so many less books in your life.

message 10703: by Theo (new)

Theo It's a catch-22, which is always complicated. You can try to complain to the administration, who can be complicated to get into contact with, but you're right that there is no easy solution. If the South branch, that you like, is connected to the same system, you may be able to get them to help you with contacting the higher-ups. Just a thought.

message 10704: by Cassi aka Snow White (new)

Cassi aka Snow White Haggard | 2261 comments The library I really like is a different system but with less books. But South branch is polite. I think when I return the book I'll tell the South branch lady about it being YA and maybe mention that I didn't want to take it to the main branch because they're never very nice and I've tried to help them out before and they just act like they're annoyed with me.

Kinda casually send it through the gossip chain, try to mention other people think the same thing too or something. I'll have a good spiel when time comes.

message 10705: by Theo (new)

Theo Sounds like a good plan. It sucks you have to deal with it, but maybe the system's gossip chain can do some damage.

message 10706: by Cassi aka Snow White (new)

Cassi aka Snow White Haggard | 2261 comments Gossip can be pretty powerful.

Tish | 207 comments Cassi wrote: "I'm like 60 or so pages in and so far it's harmless. [spoilers removed]

That's not really a spoiler. It was just easier typing it in spoiler tags. Don't judge me!"

Cassi: How do you do spoiler tags? I don't know how to do it and it makes it difficult sometimes to review a book.

message 10708: by Kurukka (new)

Kurukka You put the spoiler between < spoiler > and < / spoiler > without the spaces.

Love HP on audio!

message 10737: by Theo (new)

Theo Heidi (so what if I'm picky) wrote: "Love HP on audio!"

Yeah, I've just been getting into audiobooks recently and after seeing the last movie, I wanted to reread. I thought this way it would be rereading, but a new experience as well. Jim Dale rocked my socks off!

Kayla wrote: "I hope you like this book Theo, I enjoyed it. I read it in High School and ended up buying it..."

It's starting a little slowly for me. I'm about a quarter of the way through and I'm not sure about the writing style, it irks me a bit. It seems like the action/story is picking up now, though, so I'll hold out judgment for awhile.
