Yep, but have you guys thought that maybe GR hates, not just Cassi, but all three of us? Must have been something we said.
I just thought I would check the thread and found out I missed a bunch because I didn't get a email. :( I think Cassi is right its a conspiracy..lol
Let me know what you think...if it is as good and the dark power series...I enjoyed that series ALOT
Jennifer wrote: "Just started
. Hope it's good."I haven't read her other series, but I wasn't real impressed with this book though the way it ends I have to get the next one..lol. I heard her other series is much better, and I have the first one just not read it yet. :)
I am currently reading
and really enjoying it so far.. I love that is is over 900 pages long.. and only cost 99 cents!! Well spent 99 cents if you ask me!

Well spent 99 cents if you ask me!"Wow, thats a big book, the only big books I read are Steven King..LOL These days it takes a lot more to keep me reading when they are that long so its a good thing you are enjoying it! And what a great price!
No offense but I think any book over 900 pages is too long. (There are a few, very few exceptions). I'm firm believer in cutting some stuff out.I studied journalism so I'm good at eliminating words.
Sea of Monsters is my favorite from the Percy books. Now reading
. I'm only at the very beginning but it sounds very promising !

I see what your saying, Wendy!
and glad to hear that Jeanine. I'm always pretty open minded about books and even though I'll hear if something is not too great, I'll check out for myself and read it anyway. And if it turns out to be really horrible then I try to enjoy the parts that were so ridiculous that they turned out to be amusing, lol. Yea there is a new series coming out in March I believe and it's all focused on Balthazar's character and the book is also titled Balthazar
Not YA but reading
so far it has been interesting.Having a hard time finding a YA that is good..so if I was to choose between which would you pick:
Since I got my kindle I am trying to catch up on my ever growing netgalley books, I am so behind and feeling really bad about it. :(

I love long books when I'm in the mood. Some ofmy favorite books are epics over 900 pages.
I'm a bit skeptical about long books too. When a story is told in several books and with different plots for each book, it's okay but otherwise... I dunno, I think a story can be told in less than that. And personnally, I find that length demotivating, lol.

Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell BUT it took me two separate tries before I got through it.
Oh and I am starting
finally on everyone's recommendations. I must say the cover is mighty ugly. I've read one chapter, am I allowed to predicted love interests yet?
Yep, Harry Potter was so rich that it had to be a long series. I always wanted to read "Les Misérables" by Victor Hugo but the length of the books just totally freak me out. XD
Older books that are super long freak me out too. There's a lot of books that I'm like "I would like to read that someday" then I see the page count and I'm like ugh because I know older books move slower & they're valuable but I've been spoiled by the fast paced YA I've gotten used to.
Wendy F wrote: "Jeanine wrote: "What??? How are you reading the Iron Knight? Netgalley? I just finished the Iron Queen last week and really love the series... really love Ash! lol. She is writing a spin-off series..."Yes, I LOVED Iron horse too. Oh, can't forget Grim :)

I just finished Delirium and it is going onto my "Can't live without" shelf :) I am a bit dissapointed and I am sure those of you who have read it know exactly why... :( It is going to be a long wait for the second book to come out.
Just finished
. I really enjoyed it. It was the first book I have read by this author. I'm thinking of trying her other books. I liked her breezy writing style. I have to say that there are several long books I enjoy. Stephen King's The Stand is one of my all-time favorite books as well as Gone With The Wind.

I don't have the patience to read older books because of that :/ The solution would be to find yourself with only this kind of book at hand and have no other choice but read it or die of boredom. xD
amy wrote: "Is
only available in e-book?"I think so Amy.. I have searched for you and havent found it in paperback. It is a great book though.
I finished
and everyone is right, this book is sweet, lovely, charming, etc, etcI feel like I should get a sticker that says "I just read a YA romance novel and I liked it!" or something like that since it's so far out of my norm.

Steal away. I have a blog but I don't know that I'm much of a "serious" blogger in the way some people are. You sound inspired! I was just going to post a review.

Thanks for checking, just making sure I didn't overlook something. Not totally used to e-books yet. Still pretty old school when it comes to books, especially one that long. Might try it though. Thanks again!
Amy.. I finished Eternal Eden this morning and started Fallen Eden and just finished it about 10 minutes ago.. Both of these books are amazing. There is one more coming out in November.. United Eden. I love these books. Even though it is long.. you cant tell..I just flew through it!
Thanks y'all! I may have to get those. Someone was very generous and gave me an iPad for my birthday, so it wouldn't be so bad to read them on there. Thanks again for the recommendations.
I finally finished
and I am waiting to pick up
from the library. I am actually out of books right now, I just moved and the books I own are all in boxes.
Finished
finally a book that held my attention! I finished it really quick so that means I thought it was good..lol. :)

It really is good Victoria.. I was a little worried at first.. but I flew through the book. It didnt seem like it was that long at all.

Yep, NetGalley. It's still up, I believe. They'll send it straight to your Kindle. I waver in the middle with this series. I love that it incorporates the characters from A Midsummer Nights Dream which is my favorite Shakespeare play. I completely adore Puck in the series, and I love the concept about the Iron Fey and what that means for the Summer and Winter fey. But, I'm pretty lukewarm about Ash and Megan. For me, they lack the depth of the rest of the book.
One of my favorite characters was Ironhorse.
