I liked the first one in this series better than the one you are reading. I remember liking the 2nd half of "Desires" better than the beginning. I will definitely still read the next in the series. Good luck!

Jen (jennifer_ashmy) | 242 comments Wendy: same here. I've been dragging out a couple of series and I thought I was okay with that but in the back of my mind I'm always like "why haven't I finished that series yet," it's been bugging me subconsciously, lol. So, I have been doing just that and it's made me more organized with my reading.

Edwin: You're welcome. And I totally know what you mean. I jump between series and books all the time and it is especially bad if you have two series that are similar and you really want to read both, really badly. But now, I just tell myself to stick one one series at a time and just finish it through and it has been going well :)

Stormi/Heidi - Totally agree! Graceling grabs you on the first page and does not let go. That is one of my top books for sure. The Book Thief takes a bit longer but is so worth it.

I liked the first one better than the second one. I think it was just lacking something but I did like it and will read the next one.

Cassi aka Snow White Haggard | 2261 comments So friends who love Hex Hall Archer's losing a cross contest on a blog.

http://ya-sisterhood.blogspot.com/201...

Though I want him to myself, I want him to win as well. I want my Archer to be a winner!

message 10161: by Cassi aka Snow White (new)

Cassi aka Snow White Haggard | 2261 comments I DONT KNOW!!! I haven't actually read the book that the other guy is in though.

I think maybe it got pushed harder to the fans because Rachel Hawkins just started tweeting about the contest (already knew about it from twitter). Maybe she'll help.

Sounds like I made a good choice.

That probably tells me why the other dude is winning. Which makes me sad about the general state of YA readers. Alas. Archer will always be mine at least...lol

Jennifer (jenniem05) | 34 comments Morning everyone! Well I lost a day of reading due to a TERRIBLE migraine.. But before it hit me hard I managed to read THREE great books!! Burn (Celestra #3) by Addison Moore , Bridger (Bridger, #1) by Megan Curd , and Guardians Inc. The Cypher by Julian Rosado-Machain . All three were great books. Anyone looking for a good book.. anyone of the three will do fine. Bridger and Guardians Inc. were fairly short.. Burn was 630 pages long.. But was so good I finished it in 3 1/2 hours! It is the 3rd book in a series by Addison Moore. Hope everyone has a great day! My migraine is gone!! (After a really good shot from my doc!)

The entire series really does have a love/hate following. I really liked the first 2, and the 3rd was ok, but I could see how someone would not be able to get into it... I think she writes more for the prose than the story

I'm curreently reading Uglies and I really don't like it. It's an agressive novel about how we're going to destroy the planet because we're the most poisonous species ever created. But hey, you can give it a shot.

Julie S. Cecilia, Uglies is about so much more than that as it develops. Just wait and see. :)

message 10182: by Kurukka (new)

Kurukka Alas, I decided to put it aside for the moment. There's too much things that bug me. I know the intentions of the author are good. He wants to talk about beauty, free thinking and nature. I just don't like the way he does it. :/

Becca, it's an ARC. I just finished it and I'm feeling a mix of sad and happy... sad because it's over but really happy because of how things turn out. :)

message 10195: by Gwennie (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) I'm just starting The Iron Knight (Iron Fey, #4) by Julie Kagawa , and I didn't realize it would be the last one. It's sad when a series ends, but I also think it's good that it's not being over killed. It's best when they end in a good spot.

I noticed that alot of my friends rated it higher then me, so it could just be me. I wrote a review, but there are a few small possible spoilers in it. I'm going to keep reading the series, but only because I have a complusion and my friend wants me to read them.

I do know who Balthazar is, and I liked his character for the most part.

I read the whole series and I didn't find it horrible... It wasn't the best series, but I did like it. I am always into different :) I didn't know there was going to be a spin-off series. Did you say Balthazar is in it? He is pretty much the best character in that series.
