I tried this too and could not get into it. The VA series is one of my all time favorites and so I figured I would love Storm Born. Maybe I should give it a rest and try the Succubus/Georgina series instead.

How did you like the first Naked Werewolf book? I thought they looked interesting but am not sure...

message 8354: by Stormi (StormReads) (new)

Stormi (StormReads) (bmreviewsohmy) Julie,

I really liked the first one! It had a lot of humor in it and was a real fun read. You should give them a try if you like adult romances and werewolves!! :)

Julie S. I'm reading The Adventures of Ook and Gluk, Kung-Fu Cavemen from the Future. Hooray for immature humor that has me giggling like a little schoolgir!

Lloyd | 415 comments Looks like I'm adding another book to my list. Going to start reading How to Train Your Dragon (How to Train Your Dragon, #1) by Cressida Cowell to my son. Seems like the kind of thing he would like. Dragons, action, gross stuff, silly names, etc. (I think his dad will like it too!) :)

I read it and didn't like it, it's one of those books that seriously annoyed me. But a lot of other people liked it. Most give it about 3 to 4 stars. I can't tell if you'd like it, based on your ratings, though.

I thought it was okay, but I didn't really like it. Lena was a really selfish character IMO.

Tara Shuler (TaraShuler) | 1 comments I'm currently reading Fate (My Blood Approves, Book 2). I liked the first one pretty well. Well enough to get interested enough to care about what happens to the characters.

Ali | 106 comments Heir to Sevenwaters (Sevenwaters, #4) by Juliet Marillier now :)

message 8372: by Stormi (StormReads) (new)

Stormi (StormReads) (bmreviewsohmy) finished You Killed Wesley Payne by Sean Beaudoin It was the wierdest book I have ever read. I didn't really like it a whole lot but at the same time had to finish it. To much slang and when a book comes with a dictionary for its slang and cliques its just to much for me.

So now trying The Undertakers The Rise of the Corpses by Ty Drago giving a zombie book a try not really into them but it sounded neat so I guess I will see..lol

I guess this month is read out of my comfort zone month..LOL

message 8373: by Stormi (StormReads) (new)

Stormi (StormReads) (bmreviewsohmy) Peep and Emily,

The Mermaid's Mirror by L.K. Madigan is not really grabbing me and I can see where you didn't like Lena to much she is driving me a bit crazy and I am only on chp 8. I might abadon it for something else or I might keep on going not sure yet. :(

Cassi aka Snow White Haggard | 2261 comments Something like that. I just put "Fall" in my brain because its so far away I won't remember unless goodreads sends a happy reminder email.

Julie I just finished City of Bones (The Mortal Instruments, #1) by Cassandra Clare , it took me forever to get into it but in the end it wasn't bad. I'll continue with the series, but honestly I was a little disturbed by the twist involving Clary and Jace.

so far they are good, lots of twists and turns to keep the story interesting. they might not make it onto my "favorite series" shelf but it will for sure be on my "good series" shelf.

message 8390: by Laura Beth (new)

Laura Beth (tampabookworm) | 229 comments Read The Knife of Never Letting Go (Chaos Walking, #1) by Patrick Ness over the weekend and really really did not like it at all. Followed up on that with Garden Spells by Sarah Addison Allen which was much better. Now going back to Lake in the Clouds (Wilderness, #3) by Sara Donati while I wait for more books to come in from the library...

Cassi aka Snow White Haggard | 2261 comments You didn't like Knife? *sad face* It's one of my favorites.

Started Mexican WhiteBoy by Matt de la Pena last night. Planning to go to the library today on my lunch hour.

message 8392: by Laura Beth (new)

Laura Beth (tampabookworm) | 229 comments No, I did not like it at all. To start with, the use of "-shun" instead of "-tion" in some nouns -- "attenshun", "informashun", "inspirayshun" drove me nuts. And then the ending was not an ending at all...
:-(
