I wasn't sure where to put this but this HUGE! Clive Barker has finally finished "Absolute Midnight"! The third book in the Abarat series. I have been waiting to read this for like six years, YAY! It's coming out in September of this year.

I love vampire novels, too! I'm reading
It's a very gritty novel about the 80's punk scene, and I almost didn't read past the first thirty pages. But I'm so glad I did!

I am re-reading
and I love it so much - the writing is so simple yet lyrical. I wish I could write like that!

Right now I am reading:

Natframpton wrote: "i did read the first two a few years ago but i dont remember much about them"Oh, you should reread! They are amazing. It's about a teenager named Candy who travels to another world filled with islands; where each island represents a different hour of the day. Filled with magic and mystery and they really awaken your inner child, highly recommend.

Awesome that you're reading it as well, I'm not all that far into it yet, but so far I like it.
Kristina wrote: "I just saw Red Riding Hood so tonight I will be starting the book :)"What did you think of the movie?

I think you should definetly finish the book!!

Amy - I liked it but there were definitely some cheesy parts! I wasn't the biggest fan of the first Twilight because I don't think Catherine Hardwicke is a very good director, and it was some of the same in this but oh well! I have a huge girl crush on Amanda Seyfried so I would have liked it no matter what I'm sure! Max Irons isn't too bad to look at either :)
Well, I just finished The Alchemist by Paolo Coelho. It's a short book but filled with insights. It took me only a day to read it curled up near a fire. The journey took me to Spain, Morocco, and the Middle East, for free. What more can I ask?I reviewed it in my blog, but don't worry, it only gives the flavor of the narrative and not the plot.

cool, my daughter has read the book and now dying to see the movie. i am so over the whole twilight thing and i think the movies sucked. hope this one is better. thanks
I checked out A Northern Light from the library a few weeks ago but I haven't read it yet. I've heard good things about it though.
I just finished Firelight by Sophie Jordan
and really enjoyed it. I have just started The Hollow by Jessica Verday
.
The Last Dragon Chronicles - Chris D'LaceyI have read the first two books in three days. I wasnt able to put them down and if im honest im sitting on my hands desperatly trying not to race to the book shops and get the others (i have ordered them from Amazon).
I would totally reccomend these books to ANYONE!
Just finished Red Riding Hood and was a little disappointed. Maybe I should have seen the movie first? Right now, I'm reading The Hollow by Jessica Verday.
cheryl i'm about 1/2 way through Red Riding Hood and I'm glad that I saw the movie first! I feel like it would be a little bit slow and hard to imagine otherwise, if you haven't seen the movie I recommend it! Its a little cheesy at parts but still pretty good
So I think most people know that I didn't like Gone by Michael Grant. Him and Kirkus reviews are apparently having a little bit of a showdown over Kirku's negative review of Gone. Both are behaving childish in my opinion. What bothers me is he assumes that Kirkus has a vendetta which in reality I pretty much agree with their review (don't tell him!). Just watch the video if you like book drama.

Scroll down and find "Michael Grant' on their page. It's a video.
I just finished
and I'm still laboring through
which I'm not really getting into much. I am starting
next.
Hi there! I'm currently reading, "Clockwork Angel" by Cassandra Clare, "The Princess of the Midnight Ball" by Jessica Day George, and "The Reluctant Heiress" by Eva Ibbotson. All very good so far!!

I also read finnikin of the rock and I really liked the story. It was very epic, though at first I had a hard time to get into Melindas writing stile. But the book is great, you'll enjoy it! :)
For me, at the moment I'm reading
after long denying it, cause I though its again a vampire story (I have enough of that at the moment *lol*). But it's definitly different than I've thought, in a reall good way! ;) At the moment I'm about at the middle of the book and like it so far.And I also started
at the same time, but I'm not so far with that. I'm approximately almost at the first quarter and I still don't know what to think about it. I can't decide if I like it or not, it's kind of depressing and one part of me want to know what will happen with Melanie and the other don't want to know and just wants to jerk the book in the corner.... mh...
By the way, if you liked
you should try
! Hex is a cute, quick romance but with a paranormal twist! Plus, I was able to get it on my kindle for only $4.33!!!
I really enjoyed Northern Light. I got an audio of this book from the library and loved listening to it. I drive a lot and always have a book in my car.
Martina wrote: "For me, at the moment I'm reading

Mimi wrote: "I'm currently reading

I read Wings & Spells once :p
Just finished reading the Immortals up through Dark Flame and started the Vampire Diaries. I'm a big fan of the show but I hate the book. Elena is so stuck up! Can't stand it. I put the book down at p. 150 or so.
I just finished Fiddler's Green. So fantastic, I am still reeling. It's the sequel to The Fiddler's Gun. Read it. Please. I doubt if anyone would regret it.
Just started 'Inside Out' by Maria V. Snyder .. loved The Hunger Games and heard it was kinda a dystopia so giving it a whirl :)
Almost finished re-reading Across the Nightingale Floor by Lian Hearn. It's good the second time around! Shogun meets Lord of the Rings. I gave it four stars in my review blog. http://zoltairebookreview.blogspot.com/
