Anything by Janette Rallison - especially My Fair Godmother. The Reluctant Bachelorette by Rachael Renee Anderson
SelfSame by Melissa Conway
Anything by Sherwood Smith (Crown Duel or Posse of Princesses)
i read this book
and it is clean of f bombs and smut meaning none of that stuff is in it, there may be a little bit of swearing towards the end but there are no f bombs. there is kissing but does'nt get too passionate.

I just finished reading 'Finding Her Way' by Leah Baniki. This is a clean, well-writen historical fiction. It is a great reminder of the sacrifices of those who lived previously so we can enjoy a life with fewer hardships. it has some romance. For further review, go to http://rockinbookreviews.com
I just finished, Its a Mall World After All, by Janette Rallison. The title is kinda dumb, but the book is a great YA read. It's a Mall World After AllIt's a Mall World After All
The Iron Butterfly This author only writes clean books, so I really like her.(Plus she's an amazing storyteller)
New to this group; I am always looking for something to read that won't cause me to shudder. My favorite author is Patricia Veryan--think updated Georgette Heyer. Her novels are set in Regency or Georgian eras, and should be read in order, as characters from one book can appear in a later book. Sparkling dialog, great plots, and wonderfully drawn characters. Can't praise her highly enough.
I have also fallen in love with Sarah M. Eden's regency romances. They are a bit like Heyer's and since she is still alive I am hoping for more books!
I've been reading YA lately. All of these books are good for both boys and girls.Switch! by Karen Prince
The Escape of Princess Madeline by Kirstin Pulioff
The Battle for Princess Madeline by Kirstin Pulioff
New Yesterdays by Jim Wright. This one has some experimental cursing - very mild.
All of these books are listed here on Goodreads.
I'm new to Goodreads and to this group. I've been reading some older romances. Right now I'm enjoying Betty Neels "An Unlikely Romance." Just the recipe for when it's late at night and you just want to relax and not think too much.
DeathDeath Comes to Pemberley
Here are three books you might enjoy.
Death Comes to Pemberly is the perfect book for those of you desperate to read another Jane Austin book. PD James released this "sequel" to Pride and Prejudice just this year. She is 92!
The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society is a great clean read about a book club in occupied France during World War II.
Redesigning Emma is an historical romance set in Manhattan in 1899. This is a light read featuring such gilded age notaries as Emily Post and diamond Jim Brady.
I am looking forward to hearing your suggestions
My Fair Godmother was clean. No inappropriate happenings, just a few harmless kisses, and no swearing. And I rated it five stars :D
Alaura wrote: "Edenbrooke. It's a period piece that feels like a Jane Austen novel but written in more modern language. Loved it!"I absolutely LOVE that book!
I just finished Tuesdays at the Castle. It's a kids book, so short and easy, but I loved the characters and the story was a lot of fun. And very clean.
Wonderwas simple but fantastic! It's a young adult novel but an excellent story for any age. It was beautiful and very, very good! Everyone should read it.
I recently finished reading "In Freedom's Cause: A Story of Wallace and Bruce" by G.A. Henty. He wrote historical fiction for teenage boys during the late 1800's. His books are chock full of history, and the main character is always a teenage boy who exemplifies excellent character qualities. If you have a teenage son, I highly recommend that you introduce your son to his books. Fortunately, many of them are available for free for the Kindle. I haven't checked Project Gutenberg, but they may be there, too. Warning for pacifists: You'll want to keep your kids far away from Henty books.G.A. Henty
Hi. My name is Pam and I'm new to the group. My husband and I love to listen to books while we travel. We really like adventures and Clive Cussler is a great author. I've never seen the f word in one of his novels. I understand he use some sexual content in his earlier books, but nothing graphic. The later ones we've read didn't have any. I highly recommend him to anyone who likes adventures.I also really like the Maisie Dobbs series by Jaqueline Winspear. It's about a young girl before WW1 who grows up to be a female detective. It does help to read them in order because she often refers back to previous books.
'Sagebrush' by William Wayne Dicksion is an amazing action-packed, adventurous, romance book. It has enough romance for the women but otherwise a novel the men would really enjoy. It is totally clean. My Book Review - http//www.rockinbookreviews.com

Marion Harvey She only wrote 2 books, as far as I know. "Mystery of the Hidden Room" I read and LOVED it. Was disappointed that she hadn't written more or even used that to start a series.
John Flanagan YA medieval fiction. Love his books.
Christopher Paolini Fantasy. 4 books in the series.
I got several in this series as Kindle freebies and love each one.
series like an Amish Little House. Have loved both that I have read, two more to go.
I am so pleased to introduce you guys to my new book coming out this MAY 29th on Amazon for $2.99 only. It’s a whole new level of another fun. Trust me!
Title: ...SO FUNNY "The Funniest Story Jokes Book On Earth"
By MP Mapida.
Plan to get a copy!
I was enchanted by this book, though there are 3-4 scattered "F" bombs ~
,now I want to read another of this author's highly praised books~
I just finished the Perception Trilogy by Lee Strauss. It was a good read with Christian overtones about technology run amuck and it affect on society. It is from the viewpoint of a young couple.
I Capture the Castle might be a fun one with teens. As they get older, I'd recommend Charles Martin. His books are love stories, but he writes like a gentleman. I especially like When Crickets Cry and Chasing Fireflies (not as much of a love story). If your girls liked Little House when they were younger, they might appreciate an oldie-but-goodie, Christy by Catherine Marshall. And I still love the Anne of Green Gables series. I'd agree that the Flavia de Luce series is fun.
These are some of the clean reads I've read this year. The Hired Girl
I loved this cute book about a country girl that is hired by a Jewish family.
The Chosen by Chiam Potok
One of the best books ever written. So many searching questions are presented. Our book club loved it.
A Distant Prayer by Borrowman
Incredible story of a WWII bomber engineer who survives 49 flights only to be shot down and taken captive by the Germans.
Bridge of Scarlet Leaves by Kristina McMorris
A story about a Japanese boy and hukujin girl who marry right before Pearl Harbor, and how they deal with internment camps and other challenges.
The Corner of Bitter and Sweet by Lee?
Another wonderfully written book about trials of Japanese in America during WWII.
The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah
Story of 2 french sisters during German invasion, and how they each handled their choices to react to it.
Book of a Thousand Days by Shannon Hale
True ti form, Shannon Hale captures the essence of a story and creates the story behind the story.
The Paper Magician trilogy by Charlie N. Holmburg
Short and sweet, new twist to fantasy fiction. Not too cheesy but definitely YA fiction
Soundless by Richelle Mead
Another fairytale-like book. No one can hear.
The War that Saved my Life by Kimberly Brubaker Bradley
Children are rescued by a lonely woman during WWII
The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater
Interesting fantasy where children race dangerous water horses.
The Woman in White by Wilkie Collins
Historical fiction classic about a case of mistaken identity. Long but not boring.
A Night Divided by Hennifer A. Nielsen
Family separated by Berlin Wall tries to re-unite.
Pathfinder by Orson Scott Card
Interesting ideas typical of Orson Scott Card about time travel and evolution. More books to come.
These are books with a good message but contain some language and adult themes, but I was glad I read them.
A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman
A lonely man discovers people really care, he just needed to look outside himself.
Everyone Brave is Forgiven by Chris Cleave
Hardship brings out the best and the worst in us, and happy endings are complicated.
Miller's Valley by Anna Quindlen
Fragmented book about a town slowly being drowned to create a reservoir. Not really my kind if book but it did keep me to the end.
Just adding an opinion - I can't remember if the first mortal instruments is super okay or not, but I do know there are definitely some sex scenes in later books.

A chick-lit/suspense romance that is clean~
I'm reading this series right now...
—there's some mild cursing and some talk of off-the-page affairs, but I'd definitely call it clean.
I just finished Rebecca by Du Maurier. It had just a bit of cursing and talk of affairs, but it was generally clean. And it was quite good.
In the YA category which is often my go-to for finding anything clean...Entwined by Heather Dixon. The main character Azalea has a real personality and in the end realizes that she is the hero of her own story and in charge of her destiny. My fourteen yo daughter loved it and recommended it to me!
I really loved this YA fantasy/paranormal/sci-fi~
I got so emotionally invested in these kids, and I am so happy that I have the 2nd book in the series here, ready to start~

Mars series by Edgar Rice Burroughs. He wrote the Tarzan series too. Old novels but really well written and interesting. Andre Norton is another old author but I loved her books. Nothing objectionable that I can remember.
Anything by Brandon Sanderson is always good. They're sci-fi fantasy. Terry Pratchett is fantastic and clean but I suppose his stuff is more on the side of fantasy. I second Edgar rice Burroughs. Great stuff there.
You're never too old. Never too old to live, to give, to learn, to challenge yourself, to be productive and to share your life perspective. That is what Table 21 learns during their time at The Lodge at Bristlecone Pines. They were sent there to die but they weren't ready to give up on life. Share this book with elderly family and friends and those that care for them. It's inspirational, heartwarming and funny. The Lodge at Bristlecone Pines
For YA, World 4: Awakening is clean sci fi/adventure. It's the first in the series and is on Kindle Unlimited. Great reviews!https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3...
Gabriella wrote: "Does anyone have any recommendations for sci-if novels?"Right now on my Kindle[it's still a freebie] I am reading and enjoying a Post Apocalyptic, Sci-Fi, Survival book
ETA: Finished 5-star read for me. Only two mild swears and two non-detailed sexual situations, really interesting premise and great suspense.
I just listened to Moon Silver by Ellen Gray Massey, about a history teacher who inherits an Ozark Mountain farm connected to a legend of Spanish silver hidden hundreds of years earlier by a Native American woman. It's a short, simple tale with, a touch of romance and some amatuer archaeology; very clean, with no sex, profanity, or violence. I wasn't wild about the narration, but enjoyed the story.
I read "A Countess Below Stairs" by Eva Ibbotson. Really liked it. Clean, well-written, thorough. Good expression. Will recommend it. Enjoyed reading about life in Saint Petersburg.
Another book I read is "Ravished" by Amanda Quick. I liked, but disappointed that it had some three, or so, really steamy and explicit scenes. The writing style and substance the book had did not need it, infant it would have held its own very well without that.I wish the writers realize that a good, well-written story is not dependent on anything, definitely not on needless and unrealistic love scenes. Most of the time, in my opinion, not be explicit adds more value and color to romance and/ or love-making.
I can recommend a good Victorian mystery series...the MC is an artist whose late husband forced her to become a forensic artist. Now she's forced to use the skills she learned in those days to find a murderer at a house party...
These are some of my absolute favorite books. I just finished the "Illusionarium" audiobook and it is seriously one of the best audiobooks I've ever listened to. Ben Cummins is the reader and he does an amazing job with the acting. As for the others, these are just a few of my favorite books. I have too many to count! I didn't feel like listing all of her books, but anything by Jessica Day George is fabulous. I especially love "Silver in the Blood", "The Princess of the Midnight Ball" series, and the "Dragon Slippers" series.
