So this may be a bit embarrassing, but its something I would love to share and discuss with other people.
What are your hopes and dreams for the future? What job would you love to have? Where would you be living? What would your family be like?
Share and discuss our wildest dreams and fantasies here!

Okay-I'll post first. Hopefully im not the only one :S

In ten years I would love to be a famous author-with a few novels on the bestsellers list.
I would be living in a nice apartment in London, and own holiday apartments in New York and Sydney (so I can alternate between the three).
I would eventually like to settle down and get married, and have two children-a girl and boy-named Aviva and James. But that wouldnt be until I've travelled the world :)

So that would be my ideal (and unlikely) future :)

message 3: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth Johnson | 34 comments my future would invole me being a dance teacher and when I get old to settle down and be an alternative teacher. Who homeschool's more than my own kids. I want to eventually get married and have six kids and then maybe adopt. And if I had money I would go to every country.

message 4: by Kendall Anne (new)

Kendall Anne (dance4life) | 785 comments Well, I have many ideas. I want to go to collage to be either a archeologist or a marine biologist or a professional dancer. Then I want to travel the world, and eventually get married. I want to have four kids and adopt one or two. I don't know where I would want to live...but lol living in Australia seems pretty nice right now.

message 5: by Rebekah Faith (new)

Rebekah Faith (musicalradiance) | 6788 comments This is an interesting topic, Jess! I'm surprised this hasn't been added before now.
I'll post my dreams later.

message 6: by Michelle (new)

Michelle (meowchelle7) | 150 comments I would like to go to Veterinary School (possibly at UCDavis) after I go to college (I want to go to Stanford!). Then I would like to settle down either in Colorado or Northern California, near Stanford. I'd want to own 2 female Finnish Lapphunds, Vaiva and Sasha, and I'd want to have 2 children that are 3 or 4 years apart 1 boy and 1 girl... named Naomi and Eric. I would have my own pet clinic (: And a Russian husband. LOL. And I would travel to Japan and Australia. ;) Ahh, the good life. Hehe.

message 7: by Frank (new)

Frank I have a few:

1. I would love to be an author, just like Jessica. However, I don't really care about the reception or success of the book. The success would be awesome, but getting a book published would be good enough for me

2. I would love to be a journalist. I like to write about anything, and learning things (and reporting them) for the public is just something I would love to do. It can really be an amazing job.

3. Musician. It won't happen, but I would love to do something with music. Meh.

Where would I live? I don't really care, but I don't want to leave America. It may sound horrible, but I don't want children. :D

message 8: by Rose (new)

Rose (rose_b) | 330 comments I would like to play bass guitar in an anternative band that gets really famous, and live on a tour bus.I don't know if I want to get married, and if I do, I will probably adopt. I would live in Boston.

message 9: by natalie (new)

natalie | 5047 comments I want to go to State of Illinois and then go to North Western and be the most famous OB/GYN. Move to Colorado have three kids, I don't care about their genders, I just want to a mom. Then when my kids are all grown up, I want to travel the world with my husband.

message 10: by natalie (new)

natalie | 5047 comments (: I think adopting is cool and all, but I want my own child.

message 11: by Michelle (new)

Michelle (meowchelle7) | 150 comments @Natalie: Same for me. (:

message 12: by natalie (new)

natalie | 5047 comments Yeah, I just want to be like, oh my! That's so me or so my husband! And yeah, haha

♫♫☺Allie☺♫♫ (alliwicious) | 1115 comments When I grow up I want to stay in my Colorado and have a summer home in England. I want to become a librarian who writes books on the side. I also want to have two daughters.

Its really interesting reading through everyone else's entires, seeing how different everyones are.

I have a question: what would you name your kids if you had them? Favorite boy names and girl names?
For me, my top two favorite girl names are: Aviva & Naomi
For boys its: James and Alexander

♫♫☺Allie☺♫♫ (alliwicious) | 1115 comments I don't know. I would like them to have unique names. But I'm not sure what names.

message 16: by Kate (new)

Kate | 8205 comments My favorite names change.

Right now, it's probably Niamara, Nia for short. (Yes, to those who recognize it, I did steal it from Tamora Pierce) I don't know if it's a real name, but it's really pretty and I've been living with it for years, since there's this story that I've been writing for years, mostly in my head, with the main character named Niamara Spinelly, but called Nia.

If I'm writing a story and not paying attention, I will call the main character Nia. I did that once in the mystery I just wrote for English...and this was after I named the character Sally and used the name multiple times in the story. (although it's better than one kid in my class who, for a different assignment, wrote about a book and all about the character Rose...but her name was Lucy)

message 17: by Frank (new)

Frank I would name a son maximilian. I just think that's a sweet name.

I always thought it would be hilarious (but cruel) to name a child after an object. Something like Cereal Bowl.

message 18: by Michelle (new)

Michelle (meowchelle7) | 150 comments I LOVE the name Naomi. Idk, it just sounds so exotic? So that would be my favorite female name. I also love Vaiva (name of a woman I met at the bookstore). Other names I like a lot are Khani (my friends name, pronounced Connie), Camilla, and Sasha.

For males, I love Alek, Eric, Ren, and Sacha/Sasha.

As you can tell I like unique names. C: As opposed to like Bob, Bill, etc (sorry if your name is Bob or Bill. ): )

message 19: by Michelle (new)

Michelle (meowchelle7) | 150 comments Oops, I suppose we have similar tastes, Jessica. xD

♫♫☺Allie☺♫♫ (alliwicious) | 1115 comments Well I've always like the name Kat and Sabrina. For guys I like Finn (got it from a book but it is an awesome name). But my fav. names vary from time to time.

Im glad you like Naomi too Michelle :)
Youre right. Its sounds so exotic and unusual, yes its beautiful at the same time :)

If I had a daughter I dont know weather i'd call her Naomi or Aviva.
Both are pretty unusual and fantastically beautiful :)
The main female character in the book im writing at the moment is called Naomi.
The main female character in another book I started writing was called Aviva :)

Kingdom Keepers? Incarcenon? GLEE? Yeah, I like that name, too (:

I like Eric spelled Erik.

♫♫☺Allie☺♫♫ (alliwicious) | 1115 comments I got the name from kingdom keepers.

message 25: by natalie (new)

natalie | 5047 comments Oh, yeh, it'a from all of those above. I like it mainly because of Glee, tho.

message 26: by Pandy (last edited Feb 06, 2011 03:18PM) (new)

Pandy | 185 comments I don't really know what I want to do in the future, but my favorite girl's name is Lyra. I first heard it in His Dark Materials and I've thought it's the prettiest name since. My favorite name for a boy is Nathaniel. (It's not too rare, but it is also the name of my favorite book characters [I'm not at all creative].)

message 27: by natalie (new)

natalie | 5047 comments I also name the name Lkkye. I like the spelling. And I'm not a big fan of the name Carly, but I like it spelled Karlee.

message 28: by Michelle (new)

Michelle (meowchelle7) | 150 comments Natalie, how do you pronounce Lkkye? xD
And Jessica, what are the name of the books that have the main characters named Naomi and Aviva? Thank you! :)

message 29: by Rebekah Faith (new)

Rebekah Faith (musicalradiance) | 6788 comments Pandy: That's where I got it from too. It's a great name. ;)

continuing on my list of names:
Laurel Grace
Nikki Loraine
Katelyn Hailey
Gabrielle Elena

boy names just don't stick with me like girl names do....

message 30: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth Johnson | 34 comments the names I like
for girls are
Stephanie Grace Elizabeth
Amanda Mae Marie
Maisy Julia Anne

And boys
Jr.
Steven Matthew
Joseph

message 31: by Rebekah Faith (new)

Rebekah Faith (musicalradiance) | 6788 comments I like those names, Lizzy! Although, I'm not a big fan of the name 'Jr.' It just seems like something that he would loathe as he grows up.

Gah! Typo. I mean the story that I was writing at the moment :S
Ive never read a book with a character named Naomi or Aviva. But Im writing two at the moment. Sorry for the muck up!

Rebekah Faith*Gnome Poet* wrote: "I like those names, Lizzy! Although, I'm not a big fan of the name 'Jr.' It just seems like something that he would loathe as he grows up."
Sorry, but im with Rae Rebekah on this one. Im not much of a fan of the name 'Jr'
And Natalie, how do you pronounced Lkkye? I dont think I like that either :S

Eugh, sorry everyone. Being a bit harsh. Im sure lots of people dont like the name Aviva or Naomi, either, when I think they're the prettiest names ever :)

message 33: by Rebekah Faith (new)

Rebekah Faith (musicalradiance) | 6788 comments Hahah, Jess. You can use either name as long as you don't confuse yourself.
I think Naomi's pretty. Aviva is exotic, but I like it. :) Those are being added to my name bank.

message 34: by Tasha (new)

Tasha | 49 comments Rose(ninja) wrote: "I would like to play bass guitar in an anternative band that gets really famous, and live on a tour bus.I don't know if I want to get married, and if I do, I will probably adopt. I would live in Bo..."

Aside from living in Boston, that's my dream. Well, that and I'd rather play in a band that has a more diverse music range. Experiment mixing many different sounds together to try and come up with something unique. Challenging, but seems interesting.

I doubt becoming a bassist would ever happen, but I will try. My cousin and I have always wanted to start our own band. She can sing and she's learning keyboard, so I'm learning keyboard, acoustic and bass lol

If I ever do have any kids, it would be because I adopted them. However, at the moment, as far as I'm concern, children are annoying spoiled brats and I hate them, and babies are ugly....not to mention they all are evil.

And I don't plan on getting married. (I know it will most likely happen, but not for a long while)

In reality though, I have no Idea what I'm going to do. I know what I would like to do, but that is but a dream and I shouldn't plan specifically on that. Need back up plans lol

Most people called Junior aren't actually named that. They are _____ ______ Jr, and people call them Jr as a nickname.

message 36: by Kendall Anne (new)

Kendall Anne (dance4life) | 785 comments I like Willow, Raina and Alina for girls. I like Alec, James, Jared for boys.

message 37: by Michelle (new)

Michelle (meowchelle7) | 150 comments My far away dream is being the guitarist in a rock band like Versa Emerge, Paramore, ADTR, etc. xD That just seems so cool. Except I wouldn't want to be super famous, but I'd like a fan base. :)

@Kendall I love the name Alina :) I also love Skyrah (female) and Blake, for a male.

Oh and @Jessica, no problem. I was just like "I would like to take a look at that book!" I've never read a book with those names for the main characters, so that is pretty original! :)

message 38: by Kate (new)

Kate | 8205 comments I've got a friend named Alina. If I know someone with the name, I'm less likely to like it as much, because it's more commonplace, and it's got a connotation. It might be a cool name, but it's probably not going to be one of my favorites. Whether I like the person or not, they're still who I think of when I hear the name.

Elizabeth Johnson | 34 comments Rebekah Faith*Gnome Poet* wrote: "I like those names, Lizzy! Although, I'm not a big fan of the name 'Jr.' It just seems like something that he would loathe as he grows up."

technically his name would be whatever his dad is but since i do not know that yet jr. is in place

message 40: by Taliah (new)

Taliah Lagons | 194 comments I really want to be a scientist-a behavioral scientist. Or a phycologist. No one thinks it's a good idea, despite my family previosly telling be that I could be any sort of scientist I wanted. :(

message 41: by Kate (new)

Kate | 8205 comments Why don't they think it's a good idea? It sounds good to me.

well, yeah, but since you only put Jr......lol.

message 43: by Rebekah Faith (new)

Rebekah Faith (musicalradiance) | 6788 comments Okay, so I just realized that I haven't posted my goals..... So here i go:
Okay so I want to eventually publish a novel (and/or) a book of poetry. In a perfect world I would actually know what day-job I want...but I have no idea.
ANYWAYS: I wanna be married and have a couple kids. One them will be named Lyra Elizabeth, the other names are up for grabs. :)

message 44: by Kendall Anne (new)

Kendall Anne (dance4life) | 785 comments I like the name Lyra!

message 45: by Tasha (new)

Tasha | 49 comments By the off chance I do have a kid...if its a boy he would be Nehemiah and if its a girl she would probably be Elysium. Nemo and Ely for short. No middle names for either.

message 46: by [deleted user] (new)

Okay, don't make fun of me... But I think it could be REALLY cool to work for the CIA as a spy. Sound dorky but it could be really neat. I would get to be nosy and get into trouble for it! (sounds like the life to me!) :)

message 47: by Lauren (new)

Lauren @Brenna - I think that would be reeeally cool! i wanted to do something along those lines but it's not gonna happen lol

my ideal future - I really want to travel when i leave school (which is this year) and then live in France for a few years (unrealistic 'cause i don't speak french, stupid school made me learn German instead) Then when i have done all that, i will move back to Scotland, and i want to own a book store and have kids - but i dont want to get married, i want to have a partner just not marry them, marrige freaks me out lol. I would call a gir either Skyller or Emerson. And a boy it would be, Riley or Saige, i actualy think all my names are uni-sex names lol.

Queen Susan the Gentle (highqueensusanofcairparavel) My main plans for the future are to get married, have ten kids, and be a homeschool mom. Of course, that is a long ways off since I'm only 12 and a half right now.
