I know it sounds crazy...but I've always wanted alot of kids.
Self-acceptance. And also, more acceptance and tolerance everywhere. Ending world hunger and child trafficking. But alas, how long will it take us to get there?
I'd like to ba an illustrator or author, and travel. I want lots of animals, too =)
Maybe if I can't get into the CIA I can join the FBI. First, thing I'll do is run a background check on you all! ;) jk

Me too.Yeah, Carlyn, I would love to be a published author, but I don't like my work enough to think it would happen. Recently I've been thinking about settling for publisher/editor, although my sister did an internship with that a few summers ago and she actually hated it.
Hmmm, thats interesting. I think it would be sweet to work on a movie set. Not as an actor or director, maybe a producer, but something on a movie set. :)
That would be a really interesting job. Designing the set would be really fun, I think. Or being the person who checks for inconsistencies within the film.

@ Carlyn: I know there's room for improvement; I'm just never good at coming up with the story, and when I do, I often feel like I copied. I probably could do it though, which is why I'm not totally writing it off. Just admitting that I would at least need a day job on the side.She hated the internship mainly because the woman she was working for was a jerk, but also because it just wasn't her cup of tea. But, since I wouldn't be working for the same person, and my sister and I are different people, I still think there's a good chance I would like it.
@Carlyn: yeah, the thought pops into my head every so often. i really need to look up different jobs and delve into the topics.....like interior designer, publisher, editor (not my fave thing, but it's always easier with someone else's writing), someone behind-the-scenes of a movie......the possibilities are endless!

I know what you mean! I'd love to be a published author. Seeing MY CREATION in a bookstore would be amazing! As would a movie adaption :) I'd love that too.
Ive got quite a few manuscripts on the go at the moment. I'd like to have it published when I finish uni, jsut so im more experienced and can do a better job at editing it myself before sending into publishers.
I also want to travel the world :) In my post (I think the second one in this thread) i go into depth about being a published author, and having apartments in Sydney, London and New York :)

Haha well I think I can write decent essays, but when it comes to making my own stories up, I really stink... I much rather prefer to read than write :D. But that would be cool, seeing your creation up for sale in a public place. I dream of owning a vet clinic. ^^
I work on books constantly. I don't feel like looking into getting anything published until I turn 18 though. Parental contracts can be more trouble then it's worth.

I love to write but then i get busy and board and the ideas are never finnished. soon I get another Idea I think is better and start all over again I guess my dream would be to finnish somthing decent getting it published would be cool but I am not good at editing or spelling for that matter
I have trouble with ideas too. But when I get one I kind of start it but I never really get into it.
Yeah I have to write a story for school and its really hard. I don't think I would want to be an author. =)
I have trouble coming up with an idea, and then I get really into it for a while and then when I try and sit down like a month after having the original idea (i'm adding more all through this time), I just sorta lose interest and have no idea what to write next and everything i DO write seems like crap to me.
A lot of those happen to me, but I also have the problem that I can only write one story. There's this one that's been in my mind forever, that I've sort of written, but I've been writing it in my head since fourth grade, and haven't stopped yet. (The way I fall asleep is by thinking of something else, usually by writing said story in my mind)I started writing it down, but haven't gotten too far.

I recently finished my first book and re-read/edited it. Now I am thinking up a new story to write. Hopefully they get published in the near future.

I'm probably on something like the fifteenth book right now, but I don't always go in order. Since it is first and foremost my mechanism to fall asleep, I often go back and perfect earlier parts rather than continue forward chronologically. For the past few weeks, probably month, I've "written" the same scene almost every night (a scene which I probably originally wrote at least a year ago, if not more), with a few bits of going forward thrown in for good luck. I know almost every part of it (so far) very well, but the more I go over it, the more I add. It's like editing/rewriting before finishing the first draft.
Yeah, thats really cool! And also kinda....awkward, I mean I would probably not be able to concentrate and keep the stories in my head for that long. :) But I like, kinda get what you mean.
I mean, I don't remember everything, but what I don't remember, I make up again. The basic story though, stays the same, and usually the changes are for the better. That's actually why I started writing it down.

That makes sense, I think that I personally would probably be going nuts trying to remember something I forgot instead of just making up something new.
I have a lot of practice. ;) But I do a lot of that too.
I am split between two possible careers centered around my favorite subject, Biology. I either want to be in the FBI Crime Lab as a Forensic Biologist, or I want to be a Genologist. I am really fascinated by heredity and things like that. Along with that, I am going to be an author. I love to read and write and I think I could be fairly successful.
They really do (its crazy how alike in our opinions we are, Kate), it's great to have ambitions like that, and I'm sure you'll accomplish whatever you set your mind to. Everyone! (wow i sound like some self-help book....lolz)
Whoever said somethig about being a spy: I agree. I am applying for a scholarship with the CIA and I plan to attend college but I am not sure yet which one. Other carrer choices would be a Marine biologist. I plan on traveling an maybe settling down later in life. I want 2-3 kids. Raeleigh, Copper,& Ryder are some names I like:)

My dream is to finish my novel, find a publisher and agent and publish it by next year. I want to travel the world too, living in places like Germany and Canada. I also want to have some involvement with music, movies and art. I'd love that.
*sigh* one day :D.
So I've actually had to give this a bit of thought since we wrote business letters in English and the topic was to write a letter to a place where you'd like to work. ;). Working at a publishing company would be great. :)
Why would we laugh at you? It's a really good idea! I've thought of it before, although never very seriously, but I still think it would be really cool.
