Cindy (cindyjade) | 72 comments Okay I've read quite a few books but there are some series/books that I haven't gotten to... I was hoping I could get some input on which are good, bad, etc from those who have read them. And/or suggestions that aren't on here that I haven't read :)!
Here are some books that I've seen mentioned that I like to hear about if you've read em! Thanks y'all!

The Host - Stephanie Meyer
Darkyn - Lynn Viehl
Kitty Norville - Carrie Vaughn
Jaz parks - Jennifer Rardin
Wicked Lovely - Melissa Marr
Guardians - alexandra ivy
Gardella - Colleen Gleason
Dragonfire - Deborah Cooke
Elemental witches - Anya bast

I like both PNR and UF ... I prefer adult to YA but I do like some o those. Anything y'all can do would be helpful!

C.J. Archer (cjarcher) | 49 comments I haven't read any from your list, Cindy, but I would add Keri's Arthur's Riley Jensen urban fantasy series. It starts with Full Moon Rising and is really good. Full Moon Rising (Riley Jenson Guardian, #1) by Keri Arthur

Jennifer | 429 comments I love the Host. I've read it 3 times and love it every time.

Cindy (cindyjade) | 72 comments O thanks CJ I've heard of that one before, heard it was good. I completely forgot about it!
Thanks for the input Jennifer!

Terry (Ter05 TwiMoms/ MundieMoms) (ter05) | 608 comments I've only read The Host and Wicked Lovely and not crazy about either one. Definitely did not care for The Host. Right now I am in the raving stage about C.L. Wilson's Tairen Soul series starting with Lord of the Fading Lands (Tairen Soul, #1) by C.L. Wilson It's adult, incredible love story, fantasy, beautiful writing - great author. I read the five books (the series is completed) in December and re-reading them now. I never do that!

C.J. Archer (cjarcher) | 49 comments Tairen Soul sounds great, Terry. I'll have to put them on my TBR shelf.

Christen (GoldiloxReads) | 57 comments Hi Cindy! I absolutely LOVED The Host. I liked the Twilight series, but The Host is nothing like those books. And its not a series, so you can read it while you are deciding on one of the other series to read. :)
The Host starts out a little confusing and slow, so you have to stick with it for the first few chapters and then it becomes amazing. Its one of those books that just gets better and better as you read it. Good luck!

Terry (Ter05 TwiMoms/ MundieMoms) (ter05) | 608 comments I picked up the Tairen Soul books after someone on here posted that Rain and Ellysetta were a couple to equal Jamie and Claire in Outlander. Totally different kinds of stories and these are a quicker read, but she was right.

Sillylittlefishey | 1025 comments Have you tried the Fever series from Karen Marie Moning?

Darkfever (Fever, #1) by Karen Marie Moning Bloodfever (Fever, #2) by Karen Marie Moning Faefever (Fever, #3) by Karen Marie Moning Dreamfever (Fever, #4) by Karen Marie Moning Shadowfever (Fever, #5) by Karen Marie Moning

Lisa M (lamessegee) | 248 comments I noticed that you read the first book in Alexandra Ivy's Guardians of Eternity series but not the rest of them. I think you'd enjoy reading the rest of the series, as the first book was probably the weakest.

A series I didn't see on your bookshelves is The Sentinel Wars by Shannon K. Butcher It's an unusual, somewhat dark, PNR series about demon hunters.

Anya Bast has a Dark Magick series about the Fae that's good.

Patricia (catnaping) Lets see I have read all the series you have mentioned and the Host which I also have read several times and Loved it.I think it just depends on the person. It does start out rather slow.

My Favorites from your list are
Darkyn,Guardians,Gardella and Kitty Norville.
Some of the books are better than others but overall I enjoy these series.

Jaz parks and Dragonfire are good worth checking out.

Wicked Lovely and Elemental Witches were ok.

Most of my Favorite series you have read already.

I would definitley recommend the Dresden Files by Jim Butcher I see you have the 1st book on your shelf.
You might also like The Elemental Assassin series by Jennifer Estep 1st book Spider's Bite (Elemental Assassin, #1) by Jennifer Estep Jane Yellowrock series by Faith Hunter 1st book Skinwalker (Jane Yellowrock, #1) by Faith Hunter Blood Singers Series by Cat Adams 1st book Blood Song (Blood Singer, #1) by Cat Adams and Raine Bearnes series by Lisa Shearin 1st book Magic Lost, Trouble Found (Raine Benares, #1) by Lisa Shearin also I read the first book in two new series recently and loved them Grave Witch (Alex Craft, #1) by Kalayna Price and Afterlight (The Dark Ink Chronicles, #1) by Elle Jasper

For Young Adult Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead is my Favorite along with The Hunger Games Trilogy by Suzanne Collins

*Mrs. Brightside* I wasn't a fan of The Host /: it did start out slow...it just wasn't that great. But I see it does really depend on the person, since some people do love it. Wicked Lovely is good...it's not amazing, but it's good.
