Old guy
Gerald
Thomas
Fredrick
Wayne
Lewis

Younger guy
Parker
Gerard
Jack (how original)
Eli or Elijah
Roscoe

Basically, something a little more professional for the older guy and something short or more interesting for the younger guy. Not being ageist or anything. It just seems like a generational trend.

But it'd be a little more helpful if I knew more about the characters...

message 603: by Abigail (new)

Abigail Williams | 251 comments For older people you should do names that are hardly used that were really popular. Like Gertrude. But Thomas would work really well.
I need several names for young - aged girls that are pretty modern. Please help.

message 604: by Audrey ~ EXO-L (new)

Audrey ~ EXO-L (lunewhisper7) Hmm...modern huh?

How about...

Artemis
Lune
Kyoko
Elizabeth
Kate
Amethyst
Amber

Sorry....I'm full of fantasy in me, not modern! XD

message 605: by Abigail (new)

Abigail Williams | 251 comments Still, that helped. It expanded my possibility for names in all the books I'm writing.
Amethyst... I like that one...

message 606: by Abigail (new)

Abigail Williams | 251 comments OH! BRITNEY REALLY WORKS!
Thanks you all. Probably all of these will get used.
Hmmm... I know characters that could have these names....

Henrietta
I am in such major love with how awful I find this name to be.

message 608: by Thalia (new)

Thalia (thaliaanderson) The two names I'm going with for the main characters in a new story I'm writing. (:

Derek Keating
Janie Shea

I was struggling between Annie and Janie for a looooong time. @_@
Oh yeah, I do actually write, hahaha. I never post here. OTL

My name isn't on there. If you made an Indian girl names list, it would be there.

Chloe (chloebooklover) | 22 comments Jo wrote: "Then you might help me.

Oohh a creepy forest...

Here are some ideas...

Erebus Woods - Erebus in Greek myth is the son of the God Chaos and represents darkness and shadows
Nyx Forest - Nyx means of the night.
Crimson Woods - Crimson is the colour of blood.

I'm not really sure what you're looking for, but I hope some of those give you inspiration.

Here's a link that might help http://www.babynames.com/Names/spooky....

^The best site if you're stuck on choosing names/need a quick name for someone/someplace/something. They're generators, so you can just keep clicking until you see something you like.

Hm. I'm writing a fantasy book for NaNoWriMo, and so far the only names I've got are:

the World (for the world it's set in, which has "a thousand names")
Kayis Ferridel - one of the main characters
Rokell Seridae - another main character
Kalico Seridae - another main character

the following are random ideas:

Erikur
Aret
Ian
Ima
Ilori

do they seem fantasy-esque?

HE IS, HE IS INDEED. Duuude. I want to Roleplay with him again. Badly. I really want to Roleplay. We should have a NaNoWriMo characters RP or something.

We should. It's really hard to get into Roleplays for some reason...
