great gatsby in 3D?

I hated his Romeo & Juliet, and judging by the graph of his body of work, his version of The Great Gatsby will probably turn out to be worse than Gigli.

I can kind of get where the 3D would come in. You could see the shimmering lights of the city from across the water and feel like you were in that world. Your head could whirl as you took in Gatsby's parties. That's all I've got.

I don't know. do we even need another gatsby movie? Not every book has to be turned into a film, ya know...

I loved Moulin Rouge! Has to be in my top ten great movies! I have a thing for musicals and I thought it was a good tragic love story.

I actually was fairly intrigued by the idea of The Great Gatsby being done by Baz Luhrmann...
I'm not so excited about the Gatsby-in-3D part. What are they gonna send flying at us? Flapper fringe?

The Roaring 20s, IMO, seemed to be all about indulgence and luxury... living the American dream, and Gatsby is the epitome of this. I just hope the music is ear candy, too. And if it's anything like my experience in watching Avatar, where I felt like I was actually part of their virtual world, I think I could love it (well, up until the tragic ending).

Out of curiosity, what does the sentence about work have to do with the sentence about dance? This is not mockery. I'm just curious what the thought process was in between those two sentences, other than facts about your mother as a teen. They're both interesting facts, but I'm curious if there is additional information that adds to relevance.
