SOLVED! Kid's sci-fi/boys wish for items, have to hide them when their parents get home [s]

All I remember about this one is that these two boys have some sort of item (maybe sunglasses, I seem to remember something like that on the cover) that allows them to wish for or create objects. They end up wishing for a lot of stuff, like an expensive stereo, but then the boy whose house it is has to make all the stuff go away before his parents get home. I think the part I'm describing only happened near the beginning, and I can't remember the rest. I've been driving myself crazy trying to find it. Thanks in advance for any help.

short story in Bradbury's Illustrated man?

Thanks, George, but unfortunately that's not it. It was a novel by itself, a short one though. Kind of a middle grade novel, probably about the length of a Bruce Coville book. Similar style too, but it wasn't him. This is very, very close, but not it either. That one was published in '96, and I read the one I'm thinking of in 8th grade, so it was probably published in '94 or earlier. MAYBE early '95, but I doubt it.
