Suzanne (Under the Covers Book blog) I have just finished Dreamfever, and I don't think it is Barrons that dies, isn't she in the garage with Barron's when she hears it growling underneath? I am not sure who it will be though!

Heather (heatherjoy) | 17 comments Hmm, I have to say, if Barrons is the one who died, I'm not going to much care for the last book. I get that he may live on in other dimensions, but that, to me is a hokey cop out. If you are going to off your leading man, off him, don't chicken out and say "Oh, don't worry, he lives on in other realms. That is just a plot device, and crappy one at that, imo.

No, no. The new theory is that he's just not dead because he can't be killed. At least not for an extended period of time. He goes on and on and on about making sure something is dead, even going to the extent of burning it and checking the ashes for a couple of days. He can't really die.

Heather (heatherjoy) | 17 comments I might be able to live with that, but even that makes me angry. Having just concluded reading Dreamfever for the second time, I'm pretty peeved at that ending, more so than last time. Because anything less than the absolute death of someone Mac adores will exploit that ending for what it was, a cheap ploy. It was a terrible way to treat her readers, especially seeing as most if not all would have gone on to read the sequel anyhow. As it stands, I'm not sure that I'm all that excited about it anymore which makes me vair sad.

Tatiana (tatiana_g) Although I didn't care for cliffhangers in both Faefever and Dreamfever, I am very much excited about Shadowfever. In my eyes, if Mac could come back to life in Bloodfever by eating Unseelie, so can Barrons, whatever he is.

exactly you can not compare!

Suzanne (Under the Covers Book blog) I don't think the other cliffhangers are as big as this one, you always knew that Mac was never going to die, as well, she is the narrator. But I agre if it is Barron's then she should either let him stay dead and not chicken out some how, or it should be someone else.

Oh no way I much prefer Christian!

Lindsay (bibliophilebrouhaha) Okay, complete newbie here, but what if the beast is the 'bad' part of Barron, ie, the Book was the atonement of the Unseelie King. We know fromt the glimpses that Mac has gotten that he has some dark actions in him. . . so could a beast be a bodily atonement for those things?
