message 952: by Cam (last edited Oct 16, 2012 08:49AM) (new)

Cam | 2652 comments Due to the lack of donations, Pastor Elvis' church was in a "financial" mess. He tried to act "genial" but his present situation was very "upsetting". Using a "flimsy" pancake flipper, he accidentally threw his banana pancakes into the nearby "spa". Thats the facts

facts

message 953: by S.M. (last edited Oct 16, 2012 11:50AM) (new)

S.M. | 32005 comments The pancakes were "yummy" even if they did "boil" in the steam room. The "facts" that came over the "radio" "shocked" the patrons who were getting a Brazilan Wax.

Unlike
Scar
Extra
Smooth
German

message 954: by T (new)

T (twoo) "Unlike" the "extra" "smooth" skin of a baby's butt (reportedly, anyway), the "German" massesuse fingered the "scar" tissue while trying to figure out how to avoid having to do the Brazilian wax.

Naughty
Spongy
Muffin
Syrupy
Toasted

message 955: by S.M. (new)

S.M. | 32005 comments I don't think putting a "spongy", "syrupy" "toasted" "muffin" on the hair is the correct way to do that. It also looks a little "naughty".

Exciting
Blue
Guest
Dispenser
Washington

message 956: by T (new)

T (twoo) Sheila isn't thinking "blue" enough, how "exciting" would it be for a "guest" to lie under the warm syrup "dispenser" in that backroad "Washington" spa....

Slather

Slinky
Slowwwwwwwww

message 957: by S.M. (last edited Oct 27, 2012 07:24PM) (new)

S.M. | 32005 comments It was a "slowwwww" process to remove the "slippery" "slime" that the tech at the back road Washington spa applied. I think she used a "slinky" to "slather" the warm syrup on the spa customer.

Important
Impossible
Impartial
Imbalm
Impastos

message 958: by T (new)

T (twoo) T'was "important" to be "impartial" to one's spa customer, and simultaneously nearly "impossible" to practice the "impastos" technique to surreptitiously "imbalm" said customer....

Jury
Jingle
Jalopy
Jericho
Jabber

message 959: by Val (new)

Val (valz) | 1542 comments The narrator forgot the story and had to go to the "jury". Please remind me in a "jingle" she pleaded. I will not "jabber" about 'jericho" if you let me drive away in my "jalopy".

message 960: by S.M. (last edited Oct 28, 2012 10:41PM) (new)

S.M. | 32005 comments "Remind" me but don't "remand" me to this endless circle of storylines. The "consequences" might be to dress in "silly" outfits and eat "beans" day and night.

Golden
Fleece
Eagle
Door
Age

message 961: by T (new)

T (twoo) Ah, but this story line that is not a story line has rekindled my interest, was this not the "age" old story about a "golden" "fleece", or perhaps it was not a phoenix but an "eagle" that soared too close to the sun, or the lion and a wardrobe "door"?

Stigma
Stern
Story
Stimple
State

message 962: by Val (new)

Val (valz) | 1542 comments A "stern" "story" told without "stigma" is still a stern story. The "state" of saying something stupid and simple minded is" stimple". Our aspirations for this discourse are mightier and more magnificent than this. Our story involves spaghetti.

spaghetti
subway
flowers
unconscious
desire

message 963: by Cam (new)

Cam | 2652 comments It's weird--I was actually thinking of looking up a recipe for "spaghetti" squash--funny how this word appeared in the story.

Was it an "unconscious" "desire" of Val's to make spaghetti squash? We may be telephatic or psychic!!! Ha! I hate looking at all the dying "flowers" in the small garden I grew this summer. The ground is so saturated with rain. Oh instead of making squash, I'll order a high calorie sub from "subway".

dirt
dog
umbrella
fork
butter

message 964: by S.M. (new)

S.M. | 32005 comments Going out into the rain I needed an "umbrella" but someone with "butter" on their fingers picked it up last. It was "slick" and I dropped it in the "dirt" and the next-door-neighbor's "dog" drug it under his house. All I had was a "fork" to try and get it out.

faint
quaint
paint
taint
saint

message 965: by Val (last edited Nov 01, 2012 09:16PM) (new)

Val (valz) | 1542 comments I really wanted to retrieve the umbrella but where it was was "faint' and I didn't want to dig in the dirt. Just then, this gorgeous young man resembling Simon Templar, the "Saint", stepped forward. He was handsome in the dim light and he said, " I hope you don't "faint" but I am just the answer to your "quaint" hope for excitement. Let's go "paint" the town.

danger
foolish
unpredictable
forward
clue

message 966: by Bryan (new)

Bryan Alaspa (bryanalaspa) | 31 comments "The 'danger' is very real," said the captain, "And we cannot be 'foolish' in how we proceed."

It turned out that he was right, and the rather "unpredictable" weather soon prevented them from moving "forward." With the ship stuck, the crew soon starved, leaving just an empty ship, with hardly a "clue" as to what really happened, and an enduring mystery for decades to come.

missile
defense
frustrate
threaten
machine

message 967: by Cam (new)

Cam | 2652 comments The gorgeous man was the ghost of John F. Kennedy. Don't "threaten" us Cuba he cried as he planned his "missile" "defense" from his back to the past time "machine". Will his plan "frustrate" the Russian leader?

sick
cigar
smoking

message 968: by T (new)

T (twoo) "Sick" from "cigar" "smoking" on the "plane", JFK sought "relief".

November

Bobby
Teddy

message 969: by S.M. (last edited Nov 10, 2012 10:21AM) (new)

S.M. | 32005 comments It was "November" in "Texas" and the "convertible" was ready to go. "Bobby" and "Teddy" were talking.

Blue
Vest
Ago
Glass
Return

message 970: by T (new)

T (twoo) Wearing a "blue" vest", so long "ago", the bulletproof "glass" served to "return" a vision of nervousness.

Anniversary
Fateful
Turkey
Somber
Eloquence

message 971: by Cam (new)

Cam | 2652 comments During that "fateful" day there would be no more "turkey" for JFK. It was a "somber" day for the nation. Seconds before his death he remembered the "eloquence" of M.M. He also remembered his "anniversary" date of when they first met.

peanuts
cashews
magazine
coffee
drink

message 972: by Val (new)

Val (valz) | 1542 comments That was years ago and it still hurts. However, I have found that dosing myself with "peanuts" and "cashews" and having a "drink" helps. Also, losing myself in an interesting "magazine" article while having "coffee" helps me learn from the past but move hopefully toward the future.

SNL
giraffe
rug
lamppost
chartreuse

message 973: by T (new)

T (twoo) For relief, Val turns on the "SNL" reruns, bypassing the Discovery story about a "giraffe" on a "rug", and a Nate Berkus segment on a "chartreuse" "lamppost".

Humor
Spirits
Bellyache
Coke float
Nose

message 974: by S.M. (new)

S.M. | 32005 comments Even though Val's "spirits" were lifted because of the "humor" of the show, her peanuts and cashews along with a drink gave her a "bellyache". She didn't like Coke but someone told her it would relive her distress so she held her "nose" and drank a big "Coke float".

stream
river
ocean
creek
lagoon

message 975: by T (new)

T (twoo) Drinking all that liquid made poor Val think of bodies of water and she mentally tried to organize them into increasing size, from "stream" to "creek" to "river" to to "ocean", but then she thought of Brooke Shields and Blue "Lagoon".

Sitcom
Reality
Shock
Dream
Inertia

message 976: by Cam (new)

Cam | 2652 comments Brooke's co star will "shock" your "dream" into "reality" as he displays an eighties style hairdo of blonde curly locks on his new "sitcom". There is no "inertia" while watching his show and playing the song night fever over and over again....

Number
Nine
Beatles
Buried
Feet

message 977: by T (new)

T (twoo) Having done too many recreational substances, Brooke's costar Whatshisface (WHF) was confused again - was it Love Potion 'Number' 'Nine' or Love Shack, 'buried' at the 'feet' of his favorite 'Beatle', Ringo; told ya he was messed up.

Dr Demento
Freddy Mercury
Archie Bunker
Captain Kangaroo
Bozo the Clown

message 978: by S.M. (last edited Nov 14, 2012 03:36PM) (new)

S.M. | 32005 comments WHF kept confusing "Dr. Demento" and Captain Kangaroo" as he was writing his blog. Was it "Bozo the Clown" or "Freddy Mercury" who sang Bohemian Rhapsody? "Archie Bunker" would have called him a meathead and kicked him out the door for such nonsense.

Hatched
Asian
Ranked
Below
Edith

message 979: by T (new)

T (twoo) Speaking of Archie, poor "Edith" often felt like she was "ranked" "below" the "Asian" at the bottom of the hole in the Earth, if Archie had ever "hatched" the idea to dig a hole clear through to the other side of the world, even though she knew he loved her in his own weird way.

Fireplace
Marshmallow
Hot Buttered Rum
misteltoe
pumpkin

message 980: by Cam (new)

Cam | 2652 comments Edith spiked Archie's "hot buttered rum" with some tequila. He mistook the "pumpkin" for a "misteltoe" and gave Edith a kiss. Archie she squeaked in her high pitched voice--that's a pumpkin--she was so excited and happy she decided to make a "marshmallow" pie for her hubby. In the meantime, Archie got drunk and threw his newspaper into the "fireplace".

worm
mug
burnt
mystery
dvd

message 981: by T (new)

T (twoo) At the bottom of the HBR was a "burnt" "worm" in the "mug", but Archie was too busy watching a "mystery" movie on "DVD" and ate it.

Sondheim
Burger King
Strawberries
Stickers
Gasoline

message 982: by Val (last edited Nov 16, 2012 09:58PM) (new)

Val (valz) | 1542 comments And thus, a new musical was born with Sondheim scoring the opening -- Strawberries on stickers, gasoline on Burger King, these are a few of my favorite things.

truth
consequences
elephant
eggs
love

message 983: by T (new)

T (twoo) Just then, Archie had a flashback to an old "Truth" or "Consequences" show, where an "elephant" hovered over a nest of ostrich "eggs", after an apparent "love" affair in the animal kingdom.

Meathead
Meatball
Meander
Me, too
Mental

message 984: by Cam (last edited Nov 19, 2012 06:40AM) (new)

Cam | 2652 comments Archie and "Meathead" both had very serious "mental" problems which they hid from the public. Archie asked Edith if she wanted a "meatball" and Meathead answered "me, too" want meatball. As usual Edith began to "meander" over trival things which made Archie and Meathead become more crazier than they were.

soap
clothes
psycho
babble
door

message 985: by Nancy (new)

Nancy Hogue (nanhogue) | 71 comments Watching "Psycho" made me "babble" like a baby when the laundry room "door" suddenly opened and I was overcome by too much "soap" while washing my "clothes."

television
song
November
quick
wonderful

message 986: by T (new)

T (twoo) The 'theme' song to the Nancy Show on the 'television' began, and Archie and Meathead thought how 'wonderful' 'November' is, as it made them think of how 'quick' they need to be to each grab a turkey leg before Edith and Whatshername got to them.

Stuffing
Sofa
Sterling
Silly
Sand

message 987: by Cam (new)

Cam | 2652 comments Archie's neighbors brought them "sterling" silverware and extra "stuffing" from their turkey. Archie didn't realize that the stuffing also had a little bit of "sand" mixed in. After he ate the stuffing, he started acting "silly" and fell asleep on the sofa (or likely his stomach exploded from eating too much sand).

Edith
cried
rat
fink
trap

message 988: by Val (new)

Val (valz) | 1542 comments "Edith" "cried" out : Archie you ate the 'rat" "fink" 'trap"!

channel
change
napkin
ghoul
stressful

message 989: by T (new)

T (twoo) The observing "ghoul" deemed this too "stressful" as he dabbed his "napkin" to his lips, and moved to "change" the "channel" to something more tranquil.

Catnip
Catnap
Caterwaul
Cattycornder
Catty

message 990: by S.M. (new)

S.M. | 32005 comments He needed a "catnap" after sampling the various "catnip" scattered "cattycorner" in the living room. Soon he was awaken by the "caterwaul" outside the house. That "catty" neighbor was at it again.

Striped
Tunnel
Hiberate
Cheeks
Highlight

message 991: by Val (new)

Val (valz) | 1542 comments The "striped" cat who lived next door had "highlighted" her "cheeks" with fancy spray. She looked like someone you'd hope would just "hibernate" all winter. Alas, she had "tunneled" under the ghoul's house and was on her way up.

message 992: by S.M. (new)

S.M. | 32005 comments Next five words Val?

message 993: by Val (new)

Val (valz) | 1542 comments ooops!

unexpected
eerie
refrigerator
taxes
friendship

message 994: by S.M. (new)

S.M. | 32005 comments The cat's "eerie" appearance in the ghoul's house was an "unexpected" thing. She thought she was tunneling into a convenience store's "refrigerator" to swipe some snacks so she wouldn't have to pay "taxes" on the items. She needs to develop a "friendship" with the clerk at the store so she wouldn't have to go through all that digging.

Glove
Grunt
Glad
Gabelle
Galliard

message 995: by Cam (new)

Cam | 2652 comments "Galliard" or "Gabelle" the cat thought to herself as she tried to think of names to call the baby mouse. The baby mouse was so delicate you needed a "glove" to pick her up. As the cat picked up the mouse, the little baby made a noise that sounded like a "grunt". The cat was "glad" she didn't kill the mouse. She would wait until the baby mouse grew bigger and then she would plan her feast.

beast
sauce
kept
kettle
laugh

message 996: by Val (new)

Val (valz) | 1542 comments Luckily, the "beast" of a cat got into the "sauce" again and the innocent baby mouse scurried away unnoticed. The cat slept until the singing "kettle" went off and then, startled, jumped into her water dish causing her owner to "laugh". Ruefully, the cat wished she could have "kept" her drinking in hand.

society
steps
dreary
problem
bacon

message 997: by Cam (new)

Cam | 2652 comments The owner felt sorry for the poor cat's "problem" and fried some tasty "bacon" for the cat. Our "society" needs to help cats more often so their lives aren't so "dreary". One of the first "steps" in doing so, is providing fattening "bacon" to our cats, which is much more tastier than mice.

long
tail
vet
fur
ball

message 998: by T (new)

T (twoo) With a bacon overdose at hand, the "vet" took one look at the "long" furry "tail" and palpated the cat's belly, in search of a hard impacted "fur" "ball" in the gut, gluesd together with bacon drippings.

moribund
minx
malleable
mortify
murderous

message 999: by Cam (new)

Cam | 2652 comments After living for thirty years the "minx" appeared to be in a "moribund" state... The owner became "murderous" and could no longer care for her. It would "mortify" her if she had to kill the minx with her "malleable" hammer.

mad
explode
explore
exhale
why

message 1000: by T (new)

T (twoo) She was so "mad" that she had to take a deep breath and "exhale" slowly or she would "explode", and "why" would anyone want to "explore" for clues with blood and guts everywhere?
