Michelle Gilmore | 3220 comments I'm reading Worth Waiting For by Delaney Diamond and Buttercream Bump Off (Cupcake Bakery Mystery, #2) by Jenn McKinlay on my nook, and High Country Bride (McKettricks, #1) by Linda Lael Miller in paperback. I'm making an effort to read more of the books on my nook.

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 20787 comments Had to start Vengeance in Death (In Death, #6) by J.D. Robb while I was setting up by 2012 folder... couldn't resist. I just love this series. ☺

Lina | 5563 comments Just started Riding the Storm (ACRO, #1) by Sydney Croft . I have to start reading the synopses a bit better. This is not at all what I was expecting, not bad, just a surprise.

Susan (susayq ~) (susayq) | 6062 comments Since Heather was brave and said she was re-reading Twilight (Twilight, #1) by Stephenie Meyer , I'll admit that I'm re-reading Breaking Dawn (Twilight, #4) by Stephenie Meyer this weekend :)

I was reading A Wedding Wager (Blackwater Brides, #2) by Jane Feather but I had to take a break. It's very tedious reading and I haven't figured out why. And the step-father character creeps me out. Not to mention the Earl. Both old pervy creepsters.

Susan (susayq ~) (susayq) | 6062 comments Heather, we have to stick together. I have to admit, I find I'm rolling my eyes often re-reading this LOL And the sad part, I've probably read this 5 or 6 times already.

message 761: by Cheryl (new)

Cheryl (cawils_99) I'm starting the second on the House of Night series Betrayed (House of Night, #2) by P.C. Cast .

I've re-read the series several times too, though I admit BD is the one I've read the least, for those exact same eye rolls. lol

message 763: by Carolyn F. (new)

Carolyn F. I just finished Plague of Memory (Stardoc, #7) by S.L. Viehl , loved the book, love the series. I'm now starting Charlie's Bargain by Evangeline Anderson .

message 764: by Tracey (new)

Tracey Smith | 415 comments I've read The Twilight Saga (Twilight, #1-4) by Stephenie Meyer about 5 times each :)... Counting down until the movie Friday!

I need to catch up to you in the Stardoc series!

message 766: by Lisa Kay, Moderator (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 20787 comments I read Twilight (Twilight, #1) by Stephenie Meyer probably 5 times too, the others only once. I think I could consider that my first Young Adult book... or is it Teen? Don't read the spoiler if you loved the last one: (view spoiler)

message 767: by Cheryl (new)

Cheryl (cawils_99) I completely agree with you Lisa Kay(about the last book). There was just too much going on. I think my favorite in the series was Eclipse.

message 768: by Heather (last edited Nov 14, 2011 11:37AM) (new)

Heather (messybar) | 1307 comments The last one was my least favorite, Lisa Kay. And I always thought Eclipse was my favorite too, Cheryl, but now that I read the 1st one again, I'm not in the mood to read the rest. I'm over love triangles. lol

message 769: by Heather (new)

Heather (messybar) | 1307 comments Tracey wrote: "I've read The Twilight Saga (Twilight, #1-4) by Stephenie Meyer about 5 times each :)... Counting down until the movie Friday!"

Me too, Tracey. My tickets have been burning a hole in my pocket. =)

message 770: by Tracey (new)

Tracey Smith | 415 comments Twilight (Twilight, #1) by Stephenie Meyer and Breaking Dawn (Twilight, #4) by Stephenie Meyer are my favorite two books in the series. The beginning and end to the love story. New Moon (Twilight, #2) by Stephenie Meyer was just depressing and Eclipse (Twilight, #3) by Stephenie Meyer was good but mostly about action and agnst. I loved the first and last and am really looking forward to the movie Friday!!!!!

message 771: by Tracey (new)

Tracey Smith | 415 comments I guess I'm kind of OCD about it though, once I read the first I have to read the rest in order. To me it takes all 4 books to tell the whole story, so I can't stop at one :)

message 772: by Kit★ (new)

Kit★ (xkittyxlzt) | 1416 comments I still haven't worked up the courage or desire to read 'em yet though my step-mom loaned the series to me like, a year ago. Watched the first movie with my niece when it came out and that's about all I know about the series.

message 773: by Susan (susayq ~), Moderator (new)

Susan (susayq ~) (susayq) | 6062 comments Kit, the movie doesn't do the book justice. In fact, the first time I watched the movie, I criticized it the whole time..."that's not what the house is supposed to look like", "who are these people?", etc., etc. Drove my BFF crazy LOL

message 774: by Tracey (new)

Tracey Smith | 415 comments I was very critical of the first movie as well! I had read the books first of course and the first one was just so different. However once I got past the fact that the movie was different from the book I learned to accept it for what it was. LOL. Still love the books better, by far, but plan on watching each movie each night of this week leading up to Friday's premiere. :)

Just talked to a friend that went the premire. She thought it was great. Now I'm super excited. lol Yes, I'm 31 yrs old. ;-)

message 777: by Heather (new)

Heather (messybar) | 1307 comments I saw the movie before reading the books. Didn't know they existed until my BFF dragged me to see the movie. I consumed the series in a week after watching the movie. The books are much better.

message 778: by Tracey (new)

Tracey Smith | 415 comments I'm 30 Heather! I don't think we should be ashamed of being fans. I'm not obssesive in the sense that I wouldn't scream and faint if I saw one of the actors or name my children after the characters or tattoo their faces on my body (and I do have tattoos)but I can still love the books and movies like a normal person.

message 779: by Susan (susayq ~), Moderator (new)

Susan (susayq ~) (susayq) | 6062 comments *clears throat* I'm 40 and I like it. I'm not all stalkerish with the actors or anything, what they do is their business and it doesn't effect me one way or the other LOL

message 780: by Heather (new)

Heather (messybar) | 1307 comments LOL, all the age revealings. =)
I love ths story, not all into the fan/stalking/actors either. I just hope for a good movie representation of the books I love.

Haven't actually started anything else yet with all the movies I have lined up to watch this week ;). Did just watch Water for Elephants last night and loved it! Now I want to read the book!

I'm adding the Stardoc series to my list of series to finish in 2012.

Tracey Smith | 415 comments OK I'm bored without a book in my hand :). I have a few in my drawer waiting... Destined for an Early Grave (Night Huntress, #4) by Jeaniene Frost of course I love Cat and Bones but recently have read so much PNR I feel like I'm ready for a change. So I have One Perfect Rose (Fallen Angels #7) by Mary Jo Putney which was given to me by a friend. It has received decent reveiws here on GR but I'm not sure if I will enjoy the Regency period... decisions decisions

rameau | 90 comments Heart of the Druid Laird by Barbara Longley
It's an interesting premise, but I can't really get into the story. The characters tell me they want something and still they act the opposite. This might just be the European talking but some of the emphasis and little details stink Americanisms, even when the Scots are in focus.

message 787: by rameau (new)

rameau | 90 comments Heart of the Druid Laird by Barbara Longley Didn't turn out to be my cup of tea, but then I picked up A Midsummer Night's Sin (Blackthorn Brothers #2) by Kasey Michaels and so far I'm positively surprised.

message 788: by Tracey (new)

Tracey Smith | 415 comments OK and the winner is: One Perfect Rose (Fallen Angels #7) by Mary Jo Putney . And so far I'm liking it :)

message 789: by Lina (new)

Lina | 5563 comments I've noticed that's a #7 in the Fallen Angels series. Would you recommend the series so far Tracey?

message 790: by Heather (new)

Heather (messybar) | 1307 comments Reading Out of Oz (Wicked Years, #4) by Gregory Maguire .
It's a 28 hour audiobook that I started on Monday, I'm only 4 hours in. I'll be lucky to finish it by month end. lol

message 791: by Tracey (new)

Tracey Smith | 415 comments CaroB didn't realize this was a series, it was just handed to me by a friend. So far I'm really enjoying it, and seems like it could definitely be a stand-alone book. Very interesting premise with a hero who is told he is terminally ill, so he runs away from his priveledged life as a Duke to be able to come to terms with it alone and then meets a beautiful actress and travels with her family a troupe of traveling actors. Right now the obstacle between them is he doesn't think it would be right to start a relationship with her since he believes he's dying. She doesn't know. Even though I might be setting myself up for a sad ending (fingers crossed that I'm not) so far I'm really enjoying the story!

message 792: by Cheryl (new)

Cheryl (cawils_99) Still working on Taken by the Prince (Governess Brides #9) by Christina Dodd which is very good. Just started Engaged in Sin by Sharon Page and so far I like it alot.

Susan (susayq ~) (susayq) | 6062 comments I'm reading How to Wed a Baron by Kasey Michaels and am really liking it. Both of the main characters are very snarky. There's something about the writing of this though. There are times I have to go back and reread sentences to understand them. Obviously I've done it enough to notice that I've done it LOL

message 794: by Tracey (new)

Tracey Smith | 415 comments I don't like when I have to go back and re-read something. It pulls me out of the story

message 795: by Vanessa (new)

Vanessa (ihavealwayslovedtoread) Have just about finished Your Voice In My Head by Emma Forrest. It is fantastic! It;s a true story about a girls battle with suicidal tendencies and how she spwaks to a psychiatrist but he is battling his own problems because he has cancer. He hides this from his patients so it doesn;t interupt their sessions. Its amazing it;s a true story but it is and is quite remarkable.

message 796: by Vanessa (new)

Vanessa (ihavealwayslovedtoread) After I have finished this book, I am going to start aother Jodie Picoult book but am going to shelve Harevesting the Heart for a while. I started reading another one and it has pulled me in straight away! It's called House Rules. Sorry Tracey! Am going to give Harvesting the Heart away for a bit because it isn;t doing much for me. Maybe this review will help you a bit?! Sorry it's not a good one! I may get back to it at some stage but I can;t really stick through something anymore that doesn;t interest me when there is so much more to read out there! Oh, and also Tracey, I still don;t know how you do it! I got five hours sleep last night a feel crap! And that;s on 5! Good on you for doing what you do! You should be the main in the film that;s just come out I Don;t Know How She Does It! I don;t know how you do it! AND one last thing, Happy Thanksgiving for all you Americans! We don;t have it over here and I'm not sure when it is but only know that it is around this time(still to come? Gone?) So I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving and from what I know of Tracey, she will do it all and celebrate it it all and still have do everything and have everything under control! I Don;t Know How She Does It!

message 797: by Tracey (new)

Tracey Smith | 415 comments LOL! You flatter me Vanessa! Thanksgiving is actually this Thursday here in the states, and I'm getting off easy I'm only bringing a pie :).
Based on your experience with Harvesting the Heart I probably will hold off for awhile on that one as well. Like you said, there is so much else out there! I actually just finished One Perfect Rose (Fallen Angels #7) by Mary Jo Putney which was heart wrenching and fantastic! Would definitely recommend. Now back to my vampires, hmmmm let's see Destined for an Early Grave (Night Huntress, #4) by Jeaniene Frost or The Reluctant Vampire (Argeneau, #15) by Lynsay Sands I have both in my drawer :)

message 798: by Tracey (new)

Tracey Smith | 415 comments And the winner is... Destined for an Early Grave (Night Huntress, #4) by Jeaniene Frost

Susan (susayq ~) (susayq) | 6062 comments I'm reading Good Girls Don't (Donovan Brothers Brewery, #1) by Victoria Dahl and LOVING it! But, being the book hoarder I am, I started The Bride's Baby (Harlequin Romance) by Liz Fielding this morning while I was playing on the computer. And let's not forget, I have A Rake's Vow (Cynster, #2) by Stephanie Laurens pulled up to read as well ROFLOL

message 800: by Tracey (new)

Tracey Smith | 415 comments More than one book at a time is too much for me! I tried it and managed but found I like one book so much more than the other that I only wanted to read it, and I think held the other book to a higher standard because it wasn't as good in my opinion. I think I'll stick to one at a time from now on :)
