Vanessa, go up to CaroB's post #639 and click on "Novembers Book of the Month" - it is a hyperlink to the thread for posting your nomination... later CaroB will post a poll.

Vanessa wrote: "I'm interested! How do I vote?"Vanessa, you can click on this link: Novembers Book of the Month nominations and then nominate a book you'd like this group to read in November. In the last few days of October, I'll create a poll of all the nominations and send out an invite to all group members. Everyone is then welcome to vote on the nominations and the book with the most votes gets chosen as the next BOM.
That's okay, CaroB. Sometimes I do a "refresh" but don't know that now there is an additional page. Good thing you are so cute.
Guess I'm going to have to start ordering online. Tired of going to the bookstore with a list and not finding what's on it. Grrrr. Didn't find either
or
so I guess I'm just going to have to pass up on those reads. I did however find
and
which were all on my TBR list. So I'm stocked up for a little while :). Just finished
not sure what to start next. I have several appealing options
Currently reading:
on my Kindle;
as a BR on audio; and
on audio.I really just need to take some time off and read. =)
I knew this was going to happen. Several books came in at once from the library, one of which is for a "buddy read" two people have been patiently waiting for me to received. Plus, I have two books I started when I had a cold - and worked into my challenges, so I really need to finish them. I've never been so out of control!! So now, here is the craziness.
- started /w cold; temporaily out of buddy read (since everyone else finished!)
- started /c cold; want to read b/f BOM; have set it down & can't find it
- put on iPod/Touch to have something to listen to
- put in car to have something to listen to; one of my favs
- buddy read
- another buddy read; yes I know I just read it, but I love this book!
- buddy read; people waiting for me; library book in demand (only 21 days checkout)

Wow Lisa Kay! That's a lot to try to read at once.Wouldn't you know Sugar Daddy well enough now to be able to participate in the BR without having to read it again?
CaroB wrote: "Wouldn't you know Sugar Daddy well enough now to be able to participate in the BR without having to read it again?"Yes, but I want to re-read that one, LOL! I'm hopeless!
I knew I should have remained focused and just picked up
... but no, I let my eyes wander. Too many books calling my name.
CaroB wrote: "What did you think of Frost's #3, Tracey?"I liked it, but felt that the story was more about the action than the romance. The focus was the vampire war, with the love story in the background. I'm hoping for more "action" between Cat and Bones in the next installment ;). They definitely need a little one-on-one time. I think book 2 really amped up the sex scenes and set the bar so high that book 3 didn't meet my expectations in that department. But overall was very interested in the story and did enjoy the book.
Just started
maybe I'll be able to read it fast enough to get in on the buddy read for
. That's my goal anyway
It's a good goal Tracey! See how you go, it would be great to have you on this buddy read, but there'll be others if Real Life gets in the way of reading :-)
Am going away this weekend by myself and am taking 5 books with me! Do hope this is enough to get me through!
Tracey wrote: "Guess I'm going to have to start ordering online. Tired of going to the bookstore with a list and not finding what's on it. Grrrr. Didn't find either
or [boo..."Ordering online can be quite fun Travey! You get parcels in the post and it;s awesome when they come and you opwn them up! I love it!
LOVE Smart Bitches Trashy Books. I read her first one, might have to get the one you are reading!I'm reading
right now - wrap up of my favorite cozy series of all time. Then it's a toss up between the October book for this group and
. I love Susan Donovan.
Vanessa wrote: "Am going away this weekend by myself and am taking 5 books with me! Do hope this is enough to get me through!"I am mega jealous right now. How can I ask that for Christmas without offending my husband? Off to ponder.
Zoe wrote: "I love Susan Donovan. ..."I keep hearing that name, but I've only read one of her novellas in an anthology. I'll have to get one of her books soon to find out what the hype is about. She seems to have a loyal following.
Just finished
which was a wonderful read, 5 stars. Now I am going to start
for my live bookclub that meets in a week.

I am enjoying Witch World! It's my first Andre Norton novel ever. It was in a huge box of Andre Norton books that I bought off of ebay. I'm so excited that I can just stay home and read tonight. I was supposed to go into work, but they're over staffed (for once!!!), and guess who got to stay home. Me, that's who! Woohoo!!!! My plan is to finish Witch World tonight.
I got 2 Susan Donovan books at the library yesterday. I read a novella from an anthology and liked it so I got
and enjoyed it as well.Right now, I'm reading
, but am DYING to start
!
Still working on
it's just not holding my interest. I don't think it's necessarily a fault of the writing, more just personal taste. This era doesn't interest me, and I'm not a big fan of vampires and werewolves being accepted in society. It takes all the danger and intrigue out of it for me. They are too tame and all the proper etiquette of society in this era seems tedious to me. I will finish this one but I won't pursue the rest in this series. Not my cuppa tea
Have any of you read any Cassie Edwards books? My mom sent me a box she bought off ebay filled with Stephanie Laurens and there were probably 7 or 8 books by Cassie Edwards in it too. I've never read any of her stuff.
Yes, Susan, I loved
- but not everyone did. Don't know why.It has been years since I read any Cassie Edwards; if I remember right, she is a quick read.
Cheryl, CaroB and I talked about doing a buddy read if it's not voted BOM. Will definitely let u know!
Tracey wrote: "Still hanging on to
to see if it'll be a BOM or buddy read. Looking forward to that one :)"It can be both, if you want, Tracey.
Buddy Reads are fun! I'd love to do a buddy read for that one! I have the book, so I'm ready to go :)
Cheryl wrote: "Just finished

yet I'll have to check that one out!
I don't even know why I even posting what I'm reading anymore. Lately I can't seem to stick to a single book. But.... I did start
. I think this one was just what I needed tonight. It's truly a cozy, cozy mystery.

You should read it it is so good. It's funny and romantic.
Just finished
plan on doing the buddy read for
and possibly the one for
if I can fit both in. I also have
lined up. Not sure which one I'll get to first.
Hey all! My computer was broke but now is fixed, and while I'm behind on typing up my reviews I had to hand-write while the computer was down, I decided to start a new book anyway, and I'm reading
. :)
Kit★!! So glad you are back! Missed you. I was really thinking about you yesterday. Don't know why. Wondering where you were. Isn't it terrible having computer trouble? Yikes!
