My main character is in Paradise, Colorado running a candy shop left to her by her Aunt when she died. I'm reading "Candy Apple Dead" Sammi Carter
My new character is a woman in her early forties; no longer satisfied with her life. She lives in London.
My main character is in hospital in the north of Italy. He is an American driving ambulances in the first World War and his company has just been bombed.
(and I must confess that I still can't see why Hemingway is considered a brilliant writer... pretty flat I think)

I don't think so :-( I don't like his conversations, repetitive, circular, two pages of "Do you love me? You're a good boy." "I do love you, I really do. You're a wonderful girl." ...

My main character is in Caesar Chavez High School in Calif. I just started reading Little Brother by Cory Doctorow today.
I'm reading a LibraryThing Early Reader book that took 6 months to get to me. It's called The Nobodies Album and right now, the setting is in San Francisco. An interesting part of the book includes the main character, an author, writing a book that is a compilation of redos of the final chapters of her other novels. Talk about the ultimate "do-over"! (This is by the woman who wrote Dogs of Babel.)
I just switched to a tiny book from a bookbox. A friend gave it to me. So for a short while I was in the Brambly Hedge. How sweet that was and the nice pictures. I was really delighted and I have still some to put inbetween....
My main character lives in Palm Beach, Florida, USA with his wife and a very naughty dog - yes I am reading 'Marley & Me' by John Grogan whilst waiting for pages to load on my computer.
My main character is in Gravesend, New Hampshire. His name is Johnny Wheelwright and his best friend is Owen Meany. I am reading A Prayer for Owen Meany by John Irving.

My character is John James Audobon and he is on a ship outside of Labrador Canada (although it wasn't yet Canada during his lifetime) searching for birds to add to his project to illustrate all the birds of North America. Creation
The author is in Irian Jaya (the old New Guinea), the other half of the island of Papua New Guinea. He's trying to get to the highest mountain, but keeps being thwarted by bureaucracy and weather.I'm reading 'Naar het sneeuwgebergte' (To the Snowy Mountains) by Bart Vos.
It took me a while to figure out just where my main character is...finally figured it out, for sure, and it is Aberdeen County in New York (state). (The Little Giant of Aberdeen County)The other novel I'm reading, the main character is in Berkley, California (The Nitrogen Murder).
I am now a young boy in Tripoli, Libya, under threat by Gaddafi's regime.Book: In the Country of Men by Hisham Matar. Reading in Dutch ('Niemandsland')
