♥ Rebecca ♥ Just finished Queen of Dragons (Drakon, #3) by Shana Abé . It wasnt as good as the first two books in the series. I will be starting The Darkest Minds (The Darkest Minds, #1) by Alexandra Bracken next.

message 1452: by Maren. (new)

Maren. (glitzerfee) | 3 comments I'm reading Smaragdgrün (Edelstein Trilogie, #3) by Kerstin Gier
In English it's Green Emerald but as an exception I'm reading it in German because the author is german.

I absolutely recommend this trilogy. The movie will be in the german cinemas in March :) So excited.

In my lunch breaks I'm readin Madapple by Christina Meldrum because the name of Aslaugs mother is Maren and that's also my name. It's the first time ever that someone in a book is called like me :)

Loved it The Darkest Minds (The Darkest Minds, #1) by Alexandra Bracken She's one of my most favorite heroines since Katniss :)

Bethany Well, out of sheer desperation and a lack of reading material, I am using the digital library and trying my hand, yet again, at audio books. I've had a lot of trouble getting into these in the past, but I'm hoping I can get past that.

I've checked out What's Left of Me (The Hybrid Chronicles, #1) by Kat Zhang and Nevermore (Maximum Ride, #8) by James Patterson (because despite my past disappointments, I love this series and I HAVE to finish it)

message 1455: by Caraline (new)

Caraline | 5 comments I'm reading Fated by Alyson Noel. It's...umm...ok, I guess... (Im one for the action, not always the sappy stuff)

Bret Wellman I'm in book limbo right now. Just finished beautiful creatures, not sure what to start next.

message 1462: by Carey (new)

Carey | 100 comments Ditto. But I seem to not have time or energy right now. Going back to work is cutting into my reading schedule too much. Lol

message 1463: by Bret (new)

Bret Wellman Right! Reading, writing and working is killing me!

message 1464: by Julie (new)

Julie I'm still working on Throne of Glass (Throne of Glass, #1) by Sarah J. Maas then have Once (Eve, #2) by Anna Carey , Prodigy (Legend, #2) by Marie Lu , Sever (The Chemical Garden, #3) by Lauren DeStefano , and Unravel Me (Shatter Me, #2) by Tahereh Mafi all checked out from the library

message 1465: by Bret (new)

Bret Wellman Looks like you have your hands full.

message 1466: by Bethany (new)

Bethany I finished Juliet Immortal (Juliet Immortal, #1) by Stacey Jay which was just okay for me and then today I finished the sequel Romeo Redeemed (Juliet Immortal #2) by Stacey Jay which I really enjoyed. Thought the second book was much better.

Now I'm not sure what to start.
I'm thinking a contemporary...either North of Beautiful by Justina Chen or Please Ignore Vera Dietz by A.S. King ...maybe both;)

The Archived (The Archived, #1) by Victoria Schwab

message 1468: by Danielle (last edited Mar 09, 2013 08:20PM) (new)

Danielle | 4 comments Just got UnWholly by Neal Shusterman from the library. I loved Unwind and the Skinjacker trilogy, hoping for good things!

And the book Wild- not a YA Apocalyptic novel, but the main character is just about having her own personal armageddon!

message 1469: by Carey (new)

Carey | 100 comments UnWholly is just as awesome as UnWind. If you haven't yet, check out UnStrung. It's the novella between these two books. Gives you some different insight into what is happening in UnWholly. Very good!'

message 1470: by Nancy (new)

Nancy (bubbysmama) | 9 comments Wow. I'm going to eventually make it through this whole thread. Looks like there are plenty of great suggestions for books to go on my to-read list!

message 1471: by Bethany (new)

Bethany I finished of a few this past week, Breathe (Sea Breeze, #1) by Abbi Glines Because of Low (Sea Breeze, #2) by Abbi Glines and Noah (5th Street, #1) by Elizabeth Reyes all of which were really good.

Today I finished Obsidian (Lux, #1) by Jennifer L. Armentrout and I'm dying for book two. Really like this series so far.

message 1472: by Amanda (last edited Mar 11, 2013 01:53PM) (new)

Amanda (amonika) I just finished Noah (5th Street, #1) by Elizabeth Reyes which was OK. I'm now reading Near Death (Life and Death, #1) by M.B. Mulhall . I'm not sure how I feel about it.

I did read Wilde's Fire (Darkness Falls, #1) by Krystal Wade at the beginning of last week and I loved it.

I really loved Noah. I actually liked it better than the Moreno bros. But I love all her stuff.

I finished Bewitching (Kendra Chronicles, #2) by Alex Flinn yesterday. it was pretty good. I love Alex Flinn and Beastly is a favorite of mine, but this wasn't my favorite from her. Still good though.

message 1474: by Amanda (new)

Amanda (amonika) Bethany - I found myself annoyed with Roni through parts of it which is what made it just OK for me. I have only read the first of the Moreno Brothers, but I enjoyed that one.

Bethany Amanda wrote: "Bethany - I found myself annoyed with Roni through parts of it which is what made it just OK for me. I have only read the first of the Moreno Brothers, but I enjoyed that one."

Yeah, Roni was a bit frustrating. Serious denial and hypocrisy goin on there!

message 1479: by Carla (new)

Carla (Carla's Book Bits) (carlasbookbits) Currently a little more than halfway through 1984 by George Orwell

It's not YA, but it is the dystopian of dystopians, I should say!

Bret Wellman I just started A Princess of Mars (Barsoom, #1) by Edgar Rice Burroughs I found out it was written in 1917 and had to read it

K. | 23 comments I recently finished Rot&Ruin: https://yadystopiafiction.wordpress.c...

and now I am excited to read the next book Dust & Decay. Until this series and The Forest of Hands & Teeth, I wasn't a big fan of dystopia zombie books at all, but these authors are really challenging me.

johan (johonr) | 5 comments I just started reading the maze runner. and it's an amazing book so far.
there is only one thing that bothers me. the book says these 3 things:
*there are at least 50 boys in the glade.
*there arrives a newbie only ones a month.
*the guy who has been there for the longest time is there for 2 years.

It's not a big deal, and it might come up later in the book. (if it is ,no spoilers please)

Hmm...i see what you're getting at. I honestly can't remember though, lol. But, I don't remember there being any big mistakes like that in Maze Runner, so I'm sure it will probably be clarified later. It is a really great series. Enjoy!

Woo Hoo! Love City of Bones. I'm waiting patiently for book six (the finale) to come out :) I think you will LOVE this series.

Bethany I just finished Night School (Night School, #1) by C.J. Daugherty which was okay, but left me with mixed feelings.

Now I'm in the middle of Sweet Evil (The Sweet Trilogy, #1) by Wendy Higgins and despite my aversion to fallen angel books, I'm really liking this novel.

I thought it explained right away that a bunch of kids were shipped there at the beginning of the Glade and then a newbie came once a month.
It's not really a spoiler per say, but that's the gist.
