What are new-in-2011 books are you looking forward to reading?
I'll add to what Random said, and say that I don't read blurbs about the books in a series after where I am, either, since a lot of times those give away spoilery information as well.

Yeah, that happens. I got books 2&3 of the Farseer trilogy. And made the stupid mistake of looking on the back of book #3. Doh!...

I don't have a million unread books at home like some people, so I don't tend to buy books beyond the point I'm reading.That said - yes, even if I had books 11 & 12 at home, I would not read the blurb on the back on book 12 before I'd read book 11.

Not totally accurate. You can still have introductions, other author comments, etc at the beginning of ebooks which can be even worse than back cover blurbs.

There is more than just that in the book. The first sentence, was how Jim to give away the plot of the book.

Wow, did not know that if you are looking forward to something, they may have not read the last book in that series. Again, it might have sound as I tried to blamed on him, but I was not really trying to. I did not know that it would be that big of a deal. I mean if you read most of a series, but not the latest book, it would be not be a big deal for me to know what was so the big plot changes that has happend. I mean look at the title of the book.

Looking forward to The Collected Stories: The Legend of Drizzt, just a few more week! Not really new, but a collection like Side Jobs: Stories From the Dresden Files.

Well this change is not like if this happened it other series. The series is not going to end for another seven or eight books.

Kevin:1) You have no business commenting on anyone elses grammar or word usage. Ever. Dawn's post is quite correct - "not everyone else has" is the same as suggesting some may have. It merely means that "not everyone" has.
2) It is a general rule that most people are aware of to not discuss plot elements of books, unless specifically in discussion about that book, and, even then, in threads or posts that are marked with spoilers if you are discussing points which may spoil the book for others. This is basic etiquette, which most, though clearly not all, people are aware of.
3) You wanted to move away from discussing this. That's fine. It never had to be a discussion in the first place. You were asked to edit your post and mark the spoiler. You had to argue that it wasn't a spoiler, even though 4 or 5 people were telling you it was. You were the one that turned this into a long, drawn-out discussion. It could've been over in 5 posts, max, if you'd just edited your original damn post.
I haven't read even the first Dresden book. What does that do for my footing?

And I'm not even in the Jim Butcher group. But when the UF group I am in was discussing 'Changes', I avoided the thread.
Does the fact change if you have never seen any one of the Star Wars movies, but found out that Darth Vader was Luke Skywalker's father, or Princess Leia and Luke was actually long lost twins, separated from birth?

But I'm done arguing with you. You clearly are incapable of just saying "Sorry. Let me edit that so other people don't stumble across it." You will argue until you're blue in the face, in even more elaborate knots, just so you don't have to actually admit you may have been in the wrong.

I'm turning into quite the Cherie Priest fan, and I think that her new Vampire novel Bloodshot looks awfully fun!Happily, The Wise Man's Fear is being released on my 35th birthday - YAY!
I also sincerely hope to read Scott Lynch's next book, The Republic of Thieves, if it is indeed released this year.

Some of us work very hard to avoid learning anything specific about books we haven't read. I personally go so far as to avoid looking at reviews beyond trusted sources or basic average rating data.
