Krista, I have read them both and they are both very good! Go for them!
Going to Start ShoGun.
OH, Villa Incognito sounds good. I like Robbins!

I'm really enjoying I, Robot.

I finished that about a week ago and really enjoyed it. I don't read alot of YA, but this one was really sweet. I loved the narration the most, I must say, but the characters and humor were very refreshing. It makes a great break after reading Les Misérables.
Richard/Emilee - The Time Traveler's Wife is one of my favorite books. I hope you guys enjoy it
I'm currently reading The Second Sex, which is a rather long exploration of French feminism/ existentialism. It's for an english paper I'm writing, we have to answer some philosophical question and this book has been sitting in my room for a while.

Nicki The Story of Edgar Sawtelle A Novel

Karin Boye - Kallocain
T N Murari - Taj
Jane Green - Life Swap
Charles Dickens - Bleak House
Ken Kesey - One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest

Stef, I read The Shadow of the Wind last year and loved that as well :-) You guys are reading good books!
Thanks for the update, Fiona - it doesn't sound like a book I have to push to the top of my to-read list anytime soon...

Shogun is one of my all-time favorites!! I loved getting transported to Japan and the samuarais!
Lisa

Lisa

David Copperfeild
Little, Big
Thank God for Evolution
Stardust
Hans Brinker or the story of the silver skates

The Grapes of Wrath - it's a struggle
The Last Lecture
Deviant (non-fiction)

I have the next in the series - The Book of Love - on my shelf.

Set in 1909 in rural Wisconsin. Mail order bride with secrets marries man with own secrets. She knows about his past and plans to slowly bring him down and take his money.
Barnes and Noble has a better synopsis but I didn't want to take up too much space, so I abbriviated mine.
Doubleday has the author of Water For Elephants talking about how much she loved it.

Does the lol mean you want to read it or not? I'm a bit confused,

I am going to try and read more different genres if poss.

I also am planning on buying it. I thought Water for Elephants was so well written that if the author gives it a thumbs up it ought to be good.

Yes I get Bookmarks magazine. I look forward to getting this magazine every other month. I like seeing all the up coming books and recommentaions.

Fiona, go online to www.bookmarksmagazine.com to order a subscription. I've subscribe for a few years and LOVE the magazine!

- The Diary of a Young Girl, Anne Frank
- Vampire Academy
- Darcula - Bram Stoker
- Many Lives of Marilyn Monroe
I know there might be another one. LOL Vampire Academy I am having a hard time getting into. Dracula, watched the movie and then kinda paused on the reading. Many Lives, reading little bits here and there. I also have about 5 books on stand by that I am going to tackle next as well as two more that I just ordered that should be here the ned of the month. HAHAH Yes, I have a book addiction.
