My name is Pam, I am a stay at home mom of 1 very busy 20 month old little man;)

I'm a writer and reader from London who enjoys paranormal romance and fantasy stories. My novel 'How the Wolf Lost Her Heart' is a YA Paranormal Romance that might appeal to people who might be curious to know what London is like 200 years into the future (not a pretty place, I have to say!) I've stuck the details in the self promotion folder for anyone interested in checking it out. I'm also a freelance writer and dogwalker - and I love sashimi! Looking forward to getting to know you all.:)

Hehehe! I have two dogs at the moment and fortunately I don't walk them at the same time (one of them really doesn't like other dogs - particularly females!) I once walked an Irish Wolfhound and a Chihuahua at the same time though. Judging by the looks we got, it was a highly unusual sight!

April wrote: "Hi Dawn! She's an indie author and her book Unicorn on Speed Dial is great. The cover leaves quite a bit to be desired and the title is a bit awkward but the story is loads of UF fun."
Thanks April and Sandra I will check it out :-)

Wow a wolfhound with a Chihuahua that is awesome here is what I visualized :-)

The list is very long. I am an English student, recently accepted to an MFA program and planning to apply for more. I have always been a reader, and I love finding new authors. Looking forward to seeing what ya'll are reading!

Now I'm off to browse through the group and the different topics.

I was wondering if anyone here had any suggestions for other paranormal romance type books I should check out. :) I usually dont care much for regular romance type stories because they're usually predictable (Sparks is ok because his stuff isnt always as predictable). I think the paranormal romance doesnt have that problem, so I think I'll enjoy this genre. :)
Thanks!

Welcome to the group. There are a lot of great PNR books out there to get you started you should check out our AOM Nalini Singh is an awesome pnr author. Then there is Molly Harper, Kresley Cole, Christine Warren, Jennifer Ashley, Dana Marie Bell and the list goes on and on.
There is also a section called Paranormal Writers and there is a list of authors.
Happy Reading!!

I like Ilona Andrews, Patricia Briggs and Kelley Armstrong particularly. On The Edge:

To be honest, I think PNR suffers from this as much as any other genre, as it does have its worn out clichés. However, there are some really good books out there, and unlike with books in a normal world setting, the only limit is the author's imagination.

Hi Ryan welcome to the group. What did you think about A Modern Witch?

Thank you for reading our paragraph :-) I always wonder if anyone actually does.
Welcome!

I'm Anastasia, unemployed teacher. I fell in love with these books since reading Patricia Briggs, Mercy Series a few years ago. I basically continued my love by searching Goodreads. After exhausting most popular series, and reading some not so great ones I'm looking for new books!
My first group that I've joined and I'm already excited looking at the book of the month!
Happy Reading everyone!

Check out some of the threads, you're bound to find new books, as well as the BOM & Featured Author and buddy reads. Someone's also reading something new on the What are you Reading thread :)

I'm new to Goodreads & to this group.
I am an avid reader of urban fantasy and PNR. My favourite authors are Kelley Armstrong, J.R Ward, Sherrilyn Kenyon, Patricia Briggs, Lara Adrian, Gena Showalter, Larissa Ione, Connie Suttle & R.K Ryals to name just a few.
When I am not working I am reading. I try to read a book a day time permitting. I look forward to getting some great recommendations and getting to know more members in the group. :)
