Tara Quan (taraquan) | 2 comments Hi,

I've joined a while back but I've mostly been lurking. My name is Tara, and my favorite authors are Nalini Singh, Christine Feehan and Kresley Cole.

And yes, I'm also an author. I write erotic romance. The last two happened to be PNR, probably because I read lots of it :-)

Thethriftybooklady (readingdiva8511) | 109 comments Hello,
My name is Erica and I literally just discovered this group and joined lol. Anyway I love to read and love to pass on that passion. I recently started a book exchange at my work and it seems to be doing pretty well.
I read pretty much everything. But I especially have a weakness for Paranormal Romance and Urban Fantasy books. Some of my favorite authors as of right now include Kim Harrison (who i have had the honor of meeting twice now), Kelly Armstrong, and Jeanine Frost. But I'm looking forward to discovering some new favorites.

Hi everyone!

I saw Alisa Mods this group so Hi!
I'm an avid Adult PNR/UF reader, although I've been diggin in some NAs lately trying to figure out where this grouping fits. I like to read new authors while waiting for my favs: Singh, DB Reynolds, Ilone, Ward, Dohner, Frost, etc...
My fav PNRs are of the dark side.
I also read Dark Erotica and heavy kink if I read contemporaries.

Off to stroll your board
M

Thank you for the warm welcome. I feel the same way about books needing to be shared. That's why i started the book exchange at my work. i work for a Head Start which is a low income preschool, and i felt like having the free books at the parent's disposal would be good, as they may not be able to afford books.

message 519: by Kathy (new)

Kathy Koontz | 1 comments H everyone, my name is Kathy. I read so much urban fantasy and paranormal romance that it is sometimes hard for me to keep plot lines and authors straight. I was introduced to the genre almost a decade ago when I was managing at a Media Play store. My first serious urban fantasy author was Laurell K Hamilton back when the Anita Blake series was still good. I couldn't pick one favorite author but I do love Kim Harrrison, Patricia Briggs, and Darynda Jones mainly because they don't get to caught up in the romance and always make me smile.

Lauren Carpenter (lacarp) | 8 comments Hi! New to the group and very much looking forward to some great new UF & PNR authors. I'm currently reading Jaye Wells - pretty good so far. I work from home and own my own business so I can sneak in a book break occasionally. Anyway my all time fav author is Kim Harrison.
I look forward to getting to know you all better, or at least a few of you. :)

I'm from MA in the middle of Boston and Cape Cod. Major book lover. I pretty much read anything paranormal, romance, book club novel types, just branching out to historical fiction. My favorites are vamps, wares and witches!

Hoping to find some new series books cause I'm running out of good series to read and have to keep waiting for a new book. Boo! Can't wait to start playing around and see what everyone is reading!

Happy reading!

message 537: by Margarita (new)

Margarita Gakis (margarita_gakis) | 5 comments HI all, I'm Margarita! Been on goodreads for a while but have only recently gotten back into it. I'm looking to chat books, find out who likes what and what they like about it. I tried to join a book club in the 'real world' once or twice but they kept picking books I didn't like and then I'd just have to SLOG through something I didn't enjoy. I'm so glad for goodreads and genre focused groups where I can chat with lovers of the same books! Looking forward to chatting with you all!

message 538: by Sandra, Need more time to Read!! (new)

Sandra | 4734 comments Hi Jennifer & Margarita!!

I'm sure you'll both find new books to read. And we don't make you read ones you don't want to. LOL.

{Jayhawk} (hollyredmond) Hi, as you can see, i am Holly.
I was just searching for a Furies of Calderon group, and found this one that included Jim Butcher as well as many other authors i have read from. JR Ward is a favorite of mine, go BDB, and i just started Shadow Game by Christine Feehan, though im not loving it as much as it seemed i would according to my friends recommendation. Really love the Furies of Calderon though and i believe it is UF. Not sure. Anyway, though it doesn't apply to this group or PNR/UF, here is a list of my other fav authors. not in any particular order.
Ken Follet- Pilllars of the Earth
JR Ward-Black Dagger Brotherhood
JK Rowling-Harry Potter
Jean M Auel-Earths Children
Michelle Paver Chronicles of Ancient Darkness
Jane Lindskold-Firekeeper Saga
Rick Riordan-all Percy Jackson books
Christopher Paolini-Inheritance Cycle
Jerry Spinneli-whatever he wrote
Erin Hunter-Wariors

and thats all i can think of now
