You should! She has Historical and Contemporary Romance.

Stefani Robinson (steffiebaby140) | 807 comments Still slogging my way through Zombie Apocalypse! by Stephen Jones . I was hoping it was an anthology, it is not. It's trying to be World War Z and doing it very poorly. I may have to read World War Z again after this to redeem zombie books for myself.

Samantha Mullins (hixxup79) ok so I decided after so much talk about Fifty Shades of Grey (Fifty Shades, #1) by E.L. James I decided to put off what I was currently reading and read this and OMG I' so glad I did. This book is HOT HOT HOT... and funny thing is that not the physcial dominance stuff but with Christians attitude and Ana's attitude and stuff it kinda reminds me of my current relationship, lol, I'm sitting here reading this and I'm like OH WOW this sounds so familiar in ways. My man though is an awesome guy, not rich like Christian and that's ok, and doesn't expect me to be his sub, but he is very dominate which makes my inner kitty growl like a lioness lol.

Bared to You (Crossfire, #1) by Sylvia Day has an alpha-male too. He is domineering without the BSDM and the female protagonist is less meek than Ana.

message 860: by Megz (new)

Megz (barefootmedstudent) I just finished reading "The Particular Sadness of Lemon Cake" and loved it. It is so beautifully written.
I'm also busy reading "Deadlands" by Lily Herne, a South African Zombie novel with a twist.

So glad you mentioned The Particular Sadness of Lemon Cake by Aimee Bender ! I had forgotten all about that book and had wanted to read it.
Also, Deadlands by Lily Herne sounds right up my alley!

So thanks! I've added both to my "To Read" list.

message 862: by Laura (new)

Laura (lglovett) | 1444 comments I am reading Deadline (Newsflesh Trilogy, #2) by Mira Grant .

So far it is as good if not better than Feed.

message 863: by Jex (new)

Jex (jexball) | 2227 comments How did I not realize that Blackout (Newsflesh Trilogy, #3) by Mira Grant is out? Must find copy now!

I thought it was so weird. The first half of the book and the second half felt like completely different stories. The thing with her brother and the chair was even more peculiar. I can't deny that the writing was great though.

I didn't know either until I realized one of my Goodreads pals was reading it. I am putting it on the must read list for next month!

Laura (lglovett) | 1444 comments I LOVED this book! Once I started it, I just couldn't put it down. I will have to read the other ones soon. I have no idea why I waited so long to read one of this woman's books.

Stefani Robinson (steffiebaby140) | 807 comments Started Seed by Rob Ziegler today. So far I'm intrigued but largely confused, I can't keep track of the characters and the mix of sometimes Spanish and sometimes English is annoying me.

message 873: by Laura (new)

Laura (lglovett) | 1444 comments Still in the middle of Deadline, but I also started The Last Little Blue Envelope (Little Blue Envelope, #2) by Maureen Johnson .

message 874: by Sashana (new)

Sashana I wasn't a huge fan of 13 Blue Envelopes. Let me know if the second one goes better, Laura. I'm a little hesitant to read it.

The first one was some what cute. I just picked it up because I knew it would be a light read.

message 876: by Mary (new)

Mary (merinwe) | 1043 comments I'm in the middle of Grave Mercy, and it's really good so far. Very creative. I didn't realize it was so long before I started reading it (it's over 500 pages), but now that I'm in the middle of it, I don't want it to end.

Also reading Nicholas and Alexandra by Robert K. Massie, and it's really fascinating. Very sad, and tragic, at the same time.

And just started Partials. Like it so far.

message 877: by Sashana (new)

Sashana I didn't realize how long Grave Mercy was until I finished and added the book to GR. I was shocked because I breezed through it and I usually don't read that fast.

message 878: by Jex (new)

Jex (jexball) | 2227 comments Started reading The Kindness of Strangers by Mike McIntyre because I needed a K book for a challenge. So far it's pretty good.

message 879: by Samantha (new)

Samantha Mullins (hixxup79) I fnished Fifty Shades Freed (Fifty Shades, #3) by E.L. James the other day had to take a day off from reading, and now I'm going to be starting The Guardian (Dark-Hunter, #21; Dream-Hunter, #5) by Sherrilyn Kenyon

I tried reading this book and couldn't get into it. I hope you do better than I did. I'll be interested to se what you think of it when you are through. I might have to give it another go if you like it.

So far its not going well lol. The spanish/english is pissing me off. Its not simple stuff that most people know but stuff that you have to have a pretty firm grasp on the language to understand. I find the idea of a flesh covered city kinda gross...I mean the doors are openings in flesh, so like orifices? Yuck!

It's mostly just confusing me so far and I'm not getting into it at all. And I don't understand what the point is, what's the goal? I think this one might be another stinker.

message 894: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer Death in the City of Light The Serial Killer of Nazi-Occupied Paris by David King very interesting book so far. David King is a very descriptive author.

message 895: by Dnelson (new)

Dnelson I just devoured Lois Greiman's mystery series! I couldn't put these books down. One of the things I really liked is that the female lead keeps her intelligence, even though she makes some crazy/questionable decisions. If you are in the mood to laugh, pick up these books! Unzipped (A Chrissy McMullen Mystery, #1) by Lois Greiman
