Seems like a lot of us in this group get migraines. Could it be because we stare at a computer screen all day and read too much? ;)Hope you get better, Jex. I get them too. And I agree with LK, NOT fun!!!
Here you go Sashana! Wings reviewI also really loved Cinder. It was very inventive and I found myself breezing through it without realizing how much I'd read.
Laura wrote: "I am currently reading

Thanks, Stef!
Ditto about Cinder. Didn't expect to take to it at all. I love when a book catches me off guard.
- Yet another selection from my "I just have to see how bad it is" list. Not a bad plot, a fairly good one actually, except for the character who is so massively stupid that its insulting to humans as a species.
LOL! I could have used that line in one I did the other day. I'm going to have to tuck that one away, Stefani! ☺
Making reference to Darwin rolling over in his grave could work too, I'm hanging onto that one for a really good one down the road.
Did you try the House of Night series, Stefani? You'd strike gold with that one! So many stupid/annoying characters.
I attempted to read the first one at one point, but I put it down right about the time a teen boy is sexually assaulted in a hallway and then it somehow was twisted into he was the one using her simply because she was female and he wasn't.....I still have it around here somewhere, I will have to give it another shot and actually finish it this time! My morbid curiosity gets the best of me quite often.
Heh, what? That sounds bizarre. My sister loves the House of Night series, but she also loves every book she's ever read, ever. Except the books I give her for Christmas/her birthday.

(view spoiler) I have a feeling that if the genders had reversed roles in that scene, there would have been a lot more outrage about it.

and I really enjoyed it. It's about Nuns...who are assassins. Need I say more?"I have this one on my TBR list at home, and no you don't need to say more lol. Love the idea so much!
Bad a** nuns aside, I was surprised by how much I liked it. Definitely think you should move it up on your tbr, Stefani.
People have been telling me to read Grave Mercy for a while. I think I'll push it up in my queue, too!I'm in the middle of
and it's pretty interesting so far. The protagonist/narrator is Scottish, and I keep wishing I had gotten this on audio so maybe I could hear some awesome accents. Also picking through
, which is hysterical and reminds me so much of when my mom started texting. Lots of things lost in translation and funny auto-correct accidents. And still listening to
on audio whenever I'm not reading on my Kindle, which is hardly ever. But it's also very good.
I've just finished reading White Oleander by Janet Fitch and I'm about to start The Lucky One by Nicholas Sparks.
I am taking a break from horrendously bad YA for a bit, I can't survive the pain anymore. So I started
So far its an interesting premise and seems to hinge on things I've suspected for a long time. We'll see how it goes from here.
I've finished reading The Lucky One by Nicholas Sparks earlier and now I'm starting Seven Up by Janet Evanovich.
Currently reading The Anastasia Syndrome and finding it very interesting about a woman with two personalities and her second one is blowing these very important places in history. Strange and interesting all the same and wondering if she is going to get caught because she has no idea that she is doing it.
Last night, I finished reading Seven Up by Janet Evanovich and today I've started The Client by John Grisham.
I just finished
Overall I enjoyed it, it was very well researched and put together and the author made some excellent points, but I am not sure I can agree with all of his conclusions. Gotta think a bit before I write my review.
Started this morning....
. So far its interesting, though almost impossible to keep track of pages on, that's a little annoying.
I love The Book Thief! It's so beautiful. I just finished Soulless by Gail Carriger, and I liked it a lot. I didn't expect to, after the first few chapters, but I got into it quickly after that and flew through it. It was definitely not what I was expecting, though.
Recently finished and enjoyed
. I thought it was the prefect mix of magic an comtemporary romance. The magical aspect didn't take away from the romance, it enhanced it. Now I'm in the mood for some more romance so I started
I've heard so many wonderful things about the Benny Imura series. I read Jonathan Maberry's Patient Zero recently, and while I liked it, and I liked the story and the fast pace, I'm not sure I want to read the rest of the series, as it was pretty much non-stop blood and gore (maybe I'm exaggerating, but it felt like that to me). Is Rot & Ruin like that?
Reading Sarah Addison Allen's The Peach Keeper now. My book club is reading it this month. I haven't been in a while and I'm hoping to make it this time. Also reading The Dressmaker: A Novel.

It has some graphic scenes in it, but not as much as Patient Zero sounds like it has. Rot and Ruin is more about humanity and the ethics surrounding the zombies. It has heart. It has been one of my favorite reads of the year.

I loved Rot & Ruin and so far Dust & Decay is equally good if not better.

I've finished reading The Client by John Grisham last night and now I'm reading Island of Lost Girls by Jennifer McMahon.
I'm just about done reading
and I just love it. I do believe Lisa Kleypas is going to be an auto buy for me now.
