I'm reading The Complete Grimm's Fairy Tales. The TV show Grimm is about start airing in Ireland for the 1st time this week. Since is supposed to be based on storylines from the book, I wanted to read it first before I start watching the series.

I still visit at least twice a year for at least a week and maybe one day I will move back again.
I think I'm reading too many books at a time :-PFinished
(audiobook) - The book is just as good the second time through. I don't know how I feel about reading it audio style though. I didn't really like the voices the author put with the characters and I felt that some of the emotion of the story was lost in the reading. It was still good though.
- Not a fan. At all. Currently Reading:
- So far I love this book just as much as the first. I like that (view spoiler). As soon as I get some time to actually sit and read vs these short spurts I've had, I'm sure I'll eat the book up.
- on to audiobook #2.
- I just started this one. I'm not too far in and can't say it's grabbed my attention much. Might be because I was reading while watching TV :-P["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

These are the books I'm actively reading today. I have a few (10 or so) others that I haven't felt like reading. The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle by Haruki Murakami (from page 506)
The Memoirs Of Cleopatra by Margaret George (from page 312)
Major Pettigrew's Last Stand by Helen Simonson
The Fine Art of Truth or Dare by Melissa Jensen
Affairs of Steak by Julie Hyzy
I am currently reading
.I am only on chapter 4 but I really liking it. I never read the Vampire Academy books so looks like I need to.

I think it's great you decided to read this one first. A lot of VA fans disliked this book (I think it's hard to not comapre it to VA since it's a spin-off) so you have the opportunity to read it with an unbiased opinion that the rest of us can't. I haven't read this one yet but I do have it checked out from m library.

I saw that on the reviews, Sashana. It seemed like people who read the first series either loved it or hated it. I would like to think that I wouldn't be biased even if I had read VA first, but am glad that I decided to read this one first too. I am going to check out the others after I finish this one to see what the hype is all about.
I finished reading Songs Of The Humpback Whale last night and it was awful. Today I've started reading All We Know of Heaven by Jacquelyn Mitchard.
Finally finished all but one of the last batch of simul-books. (the one is an audio and I still have a few car trips to go before it's finished...) Chose the next group and started starting them yesterday:The Brass Verdict
(audio I'm finishing)And Then There Were None
Truly, Madly
The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society
The Winter Garden Mystery
The Borgia Bride
The Ghost and the Dead Deb
Murder With Peacocks
Strictly Dishonorable and Other Lost American Play
The Affair: A Reacher Novel
The Kitchen Witch
All of them fit at least one challenge I'm in at the moment, and one is my first pen-pal read!
I am currently reading
It is hard to get into but it received good reviews, we shall see if it gets better
I just finished
and it was really good. I didn't expect to like it more than the first two books. I felt like a lot of my questions were answered (of course I have many more new ones now).
I finished 11/22/63 by Stephen King this afternoon and it was brilliant! Now I've started reading Four to Score by Janet Evanovich.
I'm currently reading
by Jennifer Crusie. So far I'm loving it! I love her quirky main characters who are just a little different from what you might normally expect.
Just finished the audiobook of
. It was an interesting book that's for sure. I liked the narrator and how she changed her voice to actually sound like the characters, although she didn't do guys voice all that well ;-PStarted a new audiobook
and am liking it so far.
I am working on....Absolute Fear. Admittedly the serial killer is sounding way too much like allll the other ones in this series, but there are a few things that are very intriguing to me. So far, its a wash.
I just finished
It was light and enjoyableWorking on
Is a very good book, but definitely something to be in the mood for. It's quite violent and serious.Just started listening to

Wow, Jennifer! That is a lot of books. Are you really reading all of those under currently reading (as in, do you read them all at the same time or just have them lined up and read them one at a time?)
I'd like to know how Jennifer is finding time to sleep with so many books. Care to share the secrect? How many books have you read so far this year?
Rachel wrote: "Wow, Jennifer! That is a lot of books. Some electronic, some "real," and two audio (the first audio is having technical issues and may require finishing on my kindle, so I started a second audio. Don't usually do that.). I try to make progress on the audio, at least one electronic and at least one "real" daily but that can vary based on mood and circumstance.
The audio is for "can't actually read times," like driving. When the others are read depends on things like battery life and whether having a lamp on to read a "real" book is going to keep my husband awake etc. The "multiple books at a time" habit kind of grew out of those kinds of lifestyle drivers. And of course, the e-reader makes multiple books easy and also smooths the reading experience visually-- the text is always at a comfortable size etc.
Sashana wrote: "I'd like to know how Jennifer is finding time to sleep with so many books. Care to share the secrect? How many books have you read so far this year?"Heh, only slept about five hours last night. Usually I do better than that! I've read 45 or so this year, not counting the ones I'm in the middle of at the moment. I read 300 last year (set that as my goal and made it at like 11:59 on 12/31...) but that included a lot of plays, which are short. I halved that number for this year because the pressure to make the number started taking some of the fun out of it last year.
As you can see in my previous post just before this one, the media varies. The other thing I do is vary the genres to keep from getting them mixed up- although at the moment two of my books have a strong stepmother character and that's drawn me up short a time or two, trying to remember who did what in which book!
Just finished
last night. It's not my usual type of book but I enjoyed it. The fight scenes were very graphic. It was almost like watching a Mission Impossible type movie with how much you can visualize every move in a fight. I'm about a chapter or two away from the end of
(audio book). It's been an interesting story. Again, fairly graphic in all aspects. I had a hard time forcing myself to pay attention to this one. It had good moments, but had bad lulls in between good parts. I'll kind of be glad it's over. Next up I'm going to read
in audio form, and then start either
or
Right now I'm reading Blue Sky Days by Marie Landry. I got it free as one of those read & review things. I'm 5 or 6 chapters into it so far and it's pretty boring. the novel is not very well written and its meant to be a YA romance novel but the main characters who are 19 & 22 talk like their in their 60's! And if that wasn't bad enough, the love story is far too unrealistic, so I'm finding it very hard to connect with the characters. I think this is one novel where I'm definitely going to struggle through it.
I decided its about time I started reading more classics so yesterday I started reading
by Emily Bronte.
One more done, 26 to go. Finished As The Pig Turns
and was busily congratulating myself that I'm all caught up on this author when I found out she has published not one, but two more Hamish MacBeth since last I checked. Sigh. This one wasn't bad. She's been phoning them in somewhat the last couple years but still highly readable.
