The next book is my favorite!

Don't tempt me! I thought I had it on my wish list at PBS but it turned out that it was the spinoff series! So now who knows how much I'll have to wait for the next book.

Kim (catmommie) I finished Becky's recommendation for me on 1.15.11:

L.A. Dead

Thanks for the push to read this, I'm so damn indecisive, I need people to choose my books sometimes. lol I really enjoy reading Stuart Woods, it's like reading a masculine cozy mystery.

Stormy | 144 comments I finished Just the Sexiest Man Alive last night and I really enjoyed it. The heroine is AWESOME. And while the hero does act like a jerk sometimes, he also has humanizing moments as well as some personal growth throughout the story. I spent most of the book waiting for the next smart thing that was going to come out of the heroine's mouth. Very entertaining. Thanks for the great rec, Photojim!

I'm so tired of reading about the movie star that doesn't really like people worshipping the ground he walks on and is really a sweet guy on the inside. Yeah, not so much with this one. Great stuff. I'm just glad you liked this one better than
Simply Irresistible.

OK, I finished my picks!
I really enjoyed Love Is Blind! It was hilarious, and the hero and heroine were both likable characters. Thanks for the rec, I never would have picked this on my own.

I also read Slave to Sensation. The premise of the story was really interesting, but for some reason I never really got engaged. In trying to figure out why, I came up with 3 possible reasons: (1)I am burning out on paranormal books; (2)there were lots of 5 star ratings so perhaps I set the bar too high; or (3) the sci-fi aspects of it turned me off. At any rate, thank you for the nudge to get this off my TBR shelf. :-)

message 471: by BJ Rose (new)

BJ Rose (bjrose) | 4413 comments Ladykiti,
I finished Judgment in Death, and really enjoyed this one, especially the way both problems were resolved. Thanks for your recommendation! And thanks also to Photojim, who recommended that I read an In Death book.

I'm also reading Kiss of Fire, and it's really catching my attention - why did I let it languish on my TBR so long?! Thanks again!!

Jim son of Jim (formerly PhotoJim) (jim_formerly_photojim) | 5294 comments BJ Rose, everybody should read an In Death book.

layla is a picky reader | 667 comments Hello , LethalLovely , I'm glad that you liked my recs :) Also , Miki and Conall's story is one of my faves , so I think you'll enjoy it

Fran

I finished reading Ruthless Game and I have to say that this book is my favourite so far out of the Ghostwalker Series .I really liked the way Feehan involved a pregnant mother and later a newborn in scenes involving guns ,fighting and so on .Although I do know it is very far fetched I found it really captivating .Also I really liked Kane ,compared to other ghostwalkers , he vas a perfect blending of dominant male and a sweet teddy bear ,what can I say I`m a sucker for strong males doing what they can for their wives :))
All in all it was a lovely reading and I find myself waiting for the next book ,who knows maybe it`s Rihanna and Javier 's *grin*

Skin Game was a very interesting lecture involving some very different characters. Both of them have an ambiguous set of morals ; what I really enjoyed was the fact that they aren`t completely honorable and that their character can`t be categorized in good or evil.
Also Kyra is one of my fav heroine just because she ditched him after having a one night stand and then she erased him completely out of her mind ,I just loved her coldness and her ruthlessness .Many heroines after meeting the hero become stupid and soft ,she just kept being mean . :D
I must say it was a very unusual lecture ,but worthy of my time . Also, thanks for the recs :)

I finished Baby Don't Go by Susan Anderson for the Better You. It was pretty good, I like Susan Anderson, not sure this was one of my favorites of hers though. Dragged in a few spots, but otherwise entertaining.

Hi Rena-
Just wanted to thank you for recommending Conversion by S.C. Stephens- it looks great and if anyone is interested in PNR it was free, as well as Bloodlines, the second one in the series. I may save it for Feb. (red cover) but wanted to thank you for introducing me to another new author. I will try to get to Silent Blade before the end of the week. Great picks for me!

Cassie (casswish) Hey Rachel!

I finished Undead and Unemployed a few days ago, and since I had the rest of the series up to book 6, I've kept on reading! I'll be starting Undead and Unreturnable tonight. Thanks for the recommendation! I read the first book about a year ago, and I don't know why I didn't continue reading!

I've read most of the series, Kami. Should be right up your alley. Dark, but with some good sex scenes, an obscenely hot guy, a kick ass girl, and really fun dialogue. Not like the other Nora Roberts books. Trust me. ;)

And if/when you get to Stranger, you'll have to let me know what you think. I really enjoyed it, too.
