Aiesha (bigtexasaj) I got off track and am behind in some of my series so my next few reads will be to get back in them!!

Currently reading Remember When Remember When (in death #17.5) by Nora Roberts , which is part of the "In Death" series. Totally obsessed with Eve, Roarke, Peabody, etc. This is a book that combines 2 stories. I think it's quite genius how she ties them together!

Next reads will be: Undone, re-reading Catch Me before Fear Nothing, A Darkness More Than Night, Sleep No More, & Deadly Heat.

Undone (Will Trent, #3) by Karin Slaughter , Catch Me (Detective D.D. Warren, #6) by Lisa Gardner , Fear Nothing (Detective D.D. Warren, #7) by Lisa Gardner , A Darkness More Than Night (Harry Bosch, #7; Terry McCaleb, #2) by Michael Connelly , Sleep No More (Eve Duncan, #15) by Iris Johansen , & Deadly Heat (Nikki Heat, #5) by Richard Castle

R.J. Askew (rjaskew) | 31 comments The Snow Goose because someone who reviewed a story of mine recommended it. I'd never heard of the author. I learnt from Wiki that it's a novella and I love novellas. And I like the theme of it, the setting, the period. I also really, really liked the cover shown on Wiki. I might not rush to get to it and I might read other stuff first, because I'm enjoying the anticipation of The Snow Goose. But I'd best not put it off too long cos my own reader now expects me to report back and I'd disappoint her at my peril.

R.J. I love The Snow Goose since I read it as a young man... it particularly speaks to me because it takes place during the Second World War and my parents spoke to me about some of the events presented in the story (I'll not say more so as to avoid spoilers!). I also like another of Gallico's books, but it probably is not to everybody's taste - Love of Seven Dolls. It's a rather dark story of abuse, but it finishes with the luminosity characteristic of Gallico's writing.

Avis, once you're finished with the Greek/Roman mythology series by Rick Riordan, you need to read The Sword of Summer. I loved it. I don't know much about Norse mythology, but Rick does a great job of telling us what we need to know. I'm planning to read The Hidden Oracle soon. At some point, I'll also get around to reading his Kane Chronicles books.

Beyond that, I'm not sure. I know I'm getting some books for Christmas, because I picked them out, but I forgot what I picked out.
