he's a loner who prefers the sound of silence to the madness of congested urban life, is a goth, therefore he tends to be unreceptive to overtures of friendship, but he isn't unfriendly, just not sunny and open, can be somewhat intense and preoccupied at times, and very single-minded, prefers to steer clear of drama, and eschews the spotlight, but likes to be involved in major goings on, observes keenly before involving himself, if he's interested
Appearance: tall (6 ft 4 ins) pale, long black hair, likes to dress in blacks and darker colours, green eyes that are highlighted more due to his pallor, physically he is muscular but not bulky.

I want to make an artist who does covers for books, and I thought it would be interesting if my character was friends with an author. If not, that's okay; I just wanted to ask before I made mine.))

Personality: Always quiet. But defends an innocent being whenever they are accused.
Appearance: She has very long wavy chocolate brown hair pulled up into a bouncy ponytail. Her skin is really pale and she has sad grey eyes. Her favorite outfit is a white sleeve-less shirt with short denim and skirt and matching jacket.
Relationships: Her dad is deployed overseas and her mom is a surgeon. She has two little sisters(ages 14 and 8) and an older brother(age 24)
Hometown: Los Angeles, California
Occupation: Even though she is 17, she works part time at a cafe to support her family.
Powers: Controlling things with her mind is the only one she has.

Personality: Jordan is normally just the really sweet and kind girl who can make anyone smile and laugh, no matter who they are. She's always been friends with everyone and can be really fun to be around. In terms of getting angry, Jordan's not the type of person to hold grudges- sometimes she's too forgiving but easily gets hurt.

Personality: Nick is just plain charming- your typical teenage boy w/o the obnoxiousness. He can steal the hearts of many girls, not only with his good looks, but because he's capable of being just as kind as his sister... just not all the time. He isn't too talkative but definitely has good leadership skills. Nick can get annoyed easily but he generally likes most people.

Personality: She's an outsider, who sticks to the walls because she isn't trusting, and people never like it when they hear about her powers. She wants to fit in, but she doesn't really understand people, and she's insanely shy. She mainly sticks to the back of the room and stays quiet, but she's a nice person. and if yu gain her trust, a good friend.
Appearance: She has long raven hair that flows down her back, but she ussually keeps it pulled back from her face since eye contact is important. She has pale skin with scars at random places, but she doesn't cover them. She traps you with her big, mourning blue eyes, that make her look much younger than she is. She ussually wears skinny jeans and a hoddie, but she keeps the sleeves rolled up.
Relationships: Her family died when she was younger, and she lives with her friend and band mate: Lya.
Hometown: Ney York, Ny
Occupation: She's a student, but she does play in a band on the side, where she's the main singer. They ussually play at gigs that don't require id because she's too young.
Powers: Hacking-she can read, change, and force yourthoughts and actions.
She talks to and sees dead people, and she sets things on fire if she stares at them too long. She's been working on the third one, and can control it well.
Oher: Her family died in a fire, which she may or may not have caused. That's when she discovered her powers. She looks at people, and doesn't want them to close in case she loses them, which makes her insecure. Her band sings alterntive rock and tear jerker songs.

Personality: Cat is very outgoing and has a bubbly personality. She doesn’t generally take things too seriously, and has a very “be fine” attitude—meaning if you ask her if she wants to do something, she’ll generally say, “Be fine.” Cat is very loyal to the few people in her life and can be a bit obsessive. She values honesty above all else, and believes it is the basis of any healthy relationship. Cat is very naïve about the world, but doesn’t let that keep her from having fun.

She sees the world as a sad place, and says she just says things the way they are. She gets mad easily and doesn't have many friends. She doesn't open up to anyone. I know she sort of sounds like a mean person but she is nice.
Appearance: She is 5'3 and has dark brown hair that is wavy and passes a little over her shoulders. Her eyes are a light brown the color of coffee once you put milk in it. She doesn't wear any make up or acsessories such as earrings or necklaces. She mostly just wears any jeans with a light sweater.
Relationships: Has a mom and dad but aren't close to them and haven't seen them in years. She is an only child, and doesn't have any close friends.

((Yeah, it's good- just one thing :) being able to lie perfectly isn't much of a superpower so you can leave that out. Detecting lies, on the other hand, is fine))

I am a perfectionist, so I try to make sure everything I post is the way I want it before I post it. I have--on occasion--had people edit a post that I responded to previously, and it makes my response seem foolish or otherwise unwarranted. That is the only reason I don't like the edit button :).

Lol as my sis would say I'm practicing to be a Dad, though Grandad seems closer :pI would have to agree with you there, and vice versa of course ;if they point out a mistake and you edit it away it runs the risk of making them look a tad daft too:p
I don't edit my mistakes away :P. I just say, "Whoops", and make my correction in a new post, but that's just me :P.

Ack. I'm with you in that boat Candace, feeling older than other people. Usually that's because of the way I type compared to others'. I mean, I have proper grammar and punctuation but even in the cases that I am lazy, I still make sense.On the other hand, I see people talking in complete dim sentences like "ok" and even typing lyk dis nd mking no sense at all. *shrug*

It's hard to find a lot of people who seem to value proper grammar and punctuation. I try to check over everything before I post, but mistakes happen. :P

Haha I have to live with a mom whose first language is Filipino so... You can see what kind of torture I live through every day. You'd think I'd be used to it but I've learned to hate almost everything about my mother. Don't ask- long story xP
Oh, well...I won't ask then :P. Talking to people on here has been an eye-opener since most of them are using English as a second language.
I know! I hate when teachers make the simplest mistakes, especially ENGLISH ones. It's funny when math & science ones do considering their job but my seminar U.S. History & English teachers just bug the crap out of me when they write something like "except" instead of "accept" or vice versa xD

Appearance:She's tall and slender, she has long black hair that rolls down her back in waves. But she normally puts it up in a bun. Her skin is kind of pale, and she has a little bit of freckles on her cheeks. Her eyes are a soft green with speckles on gold and silver. She always where jeans, and a tight shirt that shows off most of her curves.
Relationships:Her mother died of sickness when she was three, and her father died of a heart attack when she was 20. No crushes yet.

Powers:She can make things levitate, and turn things on and off with a flick of her wrist(very house hold based powers)
Other: She lives in a really big house, where the bottom two floors are her own personal library, and the top floor is her room and guest rooms and such. She doesn't have a tv.
