Dani Just finished quite a few over the storm, my page updates in real time so you can see what I have there if you want to!
I am reading Eggs by Jerry Spinelli on an e-loan from my library on Kindle. It's an alright book, not all too thrilled with the other Spinelli books of which I enjoyed, but going into teaching I have been trying to get more into some children's literature/YA lit. I am also looking forward to starting to read One Good Dog which is one that a book club suggested.

Tori, I thought the same thing. I am listening to it as I travel to and from work via Audible. I think if I were reading it, I would not have labored thus far. I know it has amazing reviews so I am going to give it a chance.

message 937: by Frederick (new)

Frederick Anderson (fredander) | 6 comments I've just started reading 'The Seneca Scourge' - a medical thriller by Carrie Rubin. The Seneca Scourge by Carrie Rubin Following Carrie's blog - as I have for some time now - I didn't need much persuading to delve into her writing style and the beginnings promise much. Knowing Carrie she'll make this a best-seller, so I'm getting in first!

message 943: by Veronica (new)

Veronica (veraj121) | 35 comments I am reading a very controversial and sensitive book called Aphrodisiac by Mercedes Keyes. She is an African American author who writes on interracial relationships. However, this isn't the controversy with this book. This book goes into very sensitive subject which many people may be uncomfortable with. I love authors who dare to push the envelope or write on subjects others are afraid to touch. I was recommended this book by my sister-in-law mother. And I recommend this book to those who are not shocked or offended easily.

I have a mixed opinion of it really.
It is very good however I feel there is simply just too much information thrown at you at once.

For example in one sentence the name of a person, place and sword can be named and I end up being confused which is which!

Definitely give it a go though - I think it will be a book you either love or hate.
