Katz Nancy from NJ (nancyk18) Still listening to The Gold Coast by Nelson Demille and reading The Good Father by Diane Chamberlain. But yesterdsay I came across Joan Didion's new book about her daughter who died not long ago and became immersed in this book yesterday and today. I have so many books and this evening listened to the author of Jerusalem Maiden by Talia Carner speak tonight.

Great minds think alike. I started it this evening. I've noticed that there almost no dialogue in the book at all! But I just read a part where she is watching a frog-sounds so boring but it was beautiful. I have high hopes for this one!

I saw this series on the library's overdrive site and noticed there was a long wait for it, so I thought I'd get in line. :) *fingers crossed*

I also read 3 books at a time. Ok - I listen to one. I read from a traditional book and read from my I PAD.
But lately I'm beginning to feel I don't do justice to all of the books doing it this way.

I usually have several going at the same time as well. I love audio books. I cannot stand listening to the radio and traffic doesn't seem to bother me so much so long as I have a good audio book playing. Whom ever though of audio books is a genius.

I just read 2 books at once and it was my first time doing so. Although it wasn't that hard to keep up with, I, too, felt like I didn't do the books justice because I wasn't fully committed to each one. It helped to knock 2 books out at once since there are simply a TON of books I want to get read. However, I think I would rather focus on one and get that read faster than to try to read more than one and it take longer. I don't know... I might try it again since I've only tried it once and see if I can't speed up my time. If not, I will just stick to one at a time.

message 471: by Sherri (new)

Sherri (lil_bookette) I like to have some choices depending on my mood. Sometimes I want a light read or something funny, another day I might be in the mood for something more emotional or serious. For example, while I was reading Pillars of the Earth, I needed a break now and then because it was just so dang depressing.

A very good book.

message 490: by R.P. (new)

R.P. Dahlke (rpdahlke) My reading/reviewing stays with Indie Authors, mostly mystery/suspense and I believe e-books should be reasonably priced. I just finished Mai Tai Butterflyit's considered romance, but it's also very humorous and funny. It's also only $2.99. I read it because I've read her other two Hawaiian mysteries. See my review on the book here at GR.
I'm now reading Quinn Checks In /brillant! Funny! Will do a review on it when I finish. This Kindle version is $3.99 (a whole dollar out of my budget range) but it's worth it!
