Kim Marie, what a fantastic way to post your reviews. So easy to read, so clear. Glad you completed and enjoyed the challenge. Are you up for the Autumn Challenge too?

PS I've added Ape House to my TBR list. Sounds good.

Emily ... yes I did, one of the things which I really liked however, which is really shallow of me, is that the print in the book was blue ... it was so luxurious to read and added to the tone of the book. I liked the story too ... at some points I thought it dragged a bit, but I will probabaly read the next in the series.

Thanks Mandy!

Emily | 83 comments Haha. Blue print eh? Sounds fancy. I shall try and get a copy then.

Thanks for the link, Carmel...I have just tried to watch it, but every 6 seconds it pauses while it loads, and that takes about 10 seconds! It will take about an hour to watch the first 9 minute video..:( I always have trouble with youtube like that for some reason..:(

Kim Marie | 894 comments Thank you for the kind words Maggie and I hope you enjoy Ape House. I'll look forward to reading your review.

I think I was so excited that I'd managed to complete the Summer Challenge that I hadn't even thought about the Autumn one. I've just had a look at the topics listed and it sounds so interesting that I think I'll have to give it a go. Wish me luck :o)

Jacinta Hoare | 62 comments Ok I have finally run out time with five books read which was about what I hoped for = I have tried a few new authors, some have become favourites and some I now know to leave on the shelf.

The last two books I have read were

The Distant Hourswhich I rated 4 stars and I substituted my Australia Day Celebration choice to To Ride The Windwhich was a 2 star journey.

Now I will see if I can carry forward my unread Summer Books to Autumn.

Thanks so much for putting this Challenge together, I have really enjoyed the journey.
Now I will carry forward

Janelle | 37 comments I read 8 out of 10 on my list this Summer, and started my last 2 books today - Last Sacrifice (which I was waiting for from the library) & Anna Karenina (which just arrived from The Book Depository)
Happy Autumn Reading All

message 463: by Mandapanda (new)

Mandapanda Well I also had trouble finishing all the books on my list! LOL

1. Celebrate Australia - The Accidental Wedding Enjoyable - 3.5 stars
2. TBR - Songs of Love and Death: All-Original Tales of Star-Crossed Love - Read only one out of the many short stories within this anthology!
3. Movie/TV - Let the Right One In
4. Summer theme - Embers
5. Oprah - Words That Matter
6. New Release - Archangel's Consort (Feb 2011) - Great! Looking forward to the next in the series.
7. YA - Burnt Snow
8. Xmas theme - Wicked Deeds on a Winter's Night (that's a re-read for me)
9. Literature Map - Dreams of a Dark Warrior (via Gena Showalter - Feb 2011)
10. Romance - When Beauty Tamed the Beast - Great book! Eloisa James is one of the top authors of historical romance. Her day job is a professor of english literature at a US university and you can really see the classical influences in her novels.

Deb Finally finished Pillars of the Earth - number 6 in my challenge...

No more challenges for a while, this reader is going free range!

message 473: by Cheryl (new)

Cheryl (cherylllr) I love that the challenges are so 'loose' that it's easy for me to find a book from Mt. TBR to fit almost all of them. Thank you Mandy!!
