Gotcha! (Thanks for the catch, Lethal! Sorry I missed ya, Sabrina Fair & Nairabell!)
I'm working on the second book Behemoth in my TBR pile and I'm NOT enjoying it. I want to ditch it and move on...what's the "rule" on that?? Ironic name, huh?? It feels like it's just dragging and I'm truly disliking every moment of it.
Zaanodes wrote: "Finally finished the first 2...I will be off and running now!"Yay! Happy Reading, Zaanodes! :)

Kristen, if you can't finish, I would allow a substitution book that was added during the same time frame (1st 6 months on GR).

Darkness Within has been delayed. It is not being released until 2012.
See: Sherrilyn Kenyons's upcoming books
Thank you for letting me know.I'm allow to chang right? I'm just going to read another one of the Dark-Hunter then.

Yes. You'd have to since it's not out until after the challenge.
Wan "Artemis", the Dark-Hunters' Goddess wrote: "Thank you for letting me know."You are most welcome. I had to change a book for another challenge because of the delay which is why I knew!
Hey, Steph...Long time,no questions!
Breaking that trend...
I know there is not a notification when an old post is edited. (I personally prefer editing the original book list post.)
So, how do you know, without pulling up each of our original book lists each time, what our status is? Would you prefer that we do a new post once or twice (ie 1/2 or 3/4) to give you a heads up? Just a 'one-liner' ("12/25 as of Feb. 22").
Inquiring minds want to know...OK, probably just me!
LOL Zaanodes. :) Questions are always welcome. The answer: I don't know when they've been edited unless I scroll through the pages and look at everyone's "last edited...." info on their comment header. But, there's no need for me to track it, until you've finished (then I'll mark your completion on the challenge tracking spreadsheet). So, no need to create a new post, until you've completed the challenge.
I'm always happy to see comments about your status, thoughts on books you've read and things like that, if you'd like to share, please do. :) We love hearing what everyone thought about their recent reads.

Thank you, ladies.
And it's really the big, yearly challenges that work better when you just update your original post. When I finish one, I post my completed list as a new post to let everyone know how awesome I am. ;)But on the little monthly challenges, I like the new post updates--they're only monthly, so the threads can't get out of control, and that is where I go to see what everyone is reading right now.
Hey all! I wanted to post an update on my progress. It's going very well. Out of the 15 books I've read so far, only 3 of them were under 4 stars. I even rated 3 of them 5 stars. This coming from someone who is stingy as hells with their 5-star ratings. According to GR, I've only rated around 80 books 5 stars out of the 1200+ I've read. Not bad, eh? I picked well.
Sandra wrote: "Don't know what you were worried about. LOL!!!"LOL! I'll let you in on a little secret: I'm a gigantic worrier. I worry about everything. Even the most mundane things, like what to do if I run out of toilet paper when I'm on a coffee binge. So of course anything that has to do with my addiction is going to make me go into a worrying frenzy.
LOL! Well, glad to hear this one is going so well for ya. Always nice when your worrying was all for naught.
Vivian wrote: "LMAO, toilet paper, hehe.Thought I'd share, made it halfway up the mountain! 13/25 read."
Great job! I haven't made that big of a dent. I have 2 of mine in progress right now:
and
I am excited to finally be tackling this huge mountain. However it keeps getting bigger with all the other books I am reading and adding to my to be read that AREN'T part of this challenge... :-P ETA: 8/30 completed 2 in progress (I went crazy and made a list of 30.) I screwed up though. I didn't have these 2 yet:
and
so they won't count even though I will be reading them before
.

WTG! And not even 1/2 way through the year yet. :)
Congratulations, Lizz, Zaanodes & Steph! You can do it!I'm 17/25. There are a few I know I'm going to have to force myself to read, which is why they're on the mountain in the first place. *sigh*
I hear ya, Lethal. I'm tryin' not to fret about this one too much, at least not right now, still plenty of time left in the year to work through the rest.*Go, Lethal, Go* :)
Everyone seems to be doing really well with this challenge, but I find myself struggling to pick up the next book to read. I've only read 3 of the 25 I signed up for, if this keeps up I'm going to have to ditch this challenge. I don't know why I'm finding this so freaking hard! :)
Kat, you've got some great books on your list, just schedule them into other challenges and you'll be amazed how quickly the list wittles down.
I'll give that a try Sandra :D I sure hope it works!
Sandra wrote: "...just schedule them into other challenges and you'll be amazed how quickly the list whittles down."That is what I did. When 1 book is on 3 or more challenges, it really motivates you. Especially, the 1 month challenges.
Hi, Steph!Question:
When I made my picks, I either erroneously called a book one name or the book's name changed. The result being the title I wrote is wrong. When you hover over the link it shows the correct title.
So, does this count as a change (which is NOT allowed) or what????
