Lynn (camillalynnauthor) | 21 comments I've come across some good webcomics lately and thought it'd be nice to share with everyone some of the best places to find them. If you're tired of DC & Marvel and the formulaic crap they pump out now, take a look at some of these places. There are tons of webcomics out there that are breaking the comic book mold.
So, if you have a webcomic you'd like to share, let us know about it too.

1. http://www.drunkduck.com/
2. http://www.thewebcomiclist.com/
3. http://topwebcomics.com/
4. http://www.buzzcomix.net/index.php
5. http://www.digitalstrips.com/
6. http://www.onlinecomics.net/pages/
7. For all you lovers of romance: http://www.genkigirl.com/romancetop100/
8. My friend Greg Carter has a vampire story posted that is starting to shape up nicely here: http://www.abandoncomic.com/
9. http://www.ambrosiapublishing.com/

Not a webcomic list, but a great place to find Independant comic book creators.

Last, but saved with great pleasure, is a preview of a webcomic coming soon to a monitor near you: Ra's Warrior & the Talismans of Time written by me & drawn by Clarissa Filice from DeviantArt. The comic story pages are being fleshed out now, but there is a prose version available for free, an Egyptian glossary, some proto-sketches posted.

Happy Reading!
Lynn

Brandy | 1 comments There's also the whole Modern Tales family (Modern Tales; Graphic Smash, for action-adventure type comics; Serializer.net, for "arty" comics; and Girlamatic, the not-romance-but-still-women-focused comics), which offer a mix of subscription and non-subscription content.

For an index of completed webcomics (meaning, not ongoing gag-a-day or stories in progress; something you can read start to finish and not have to wait for more updates), check Full Story.

Qiana I recently discovered www.zudacomics.com - but these suggestions are even better. Thanks for this posting!

Lynn (camillalynnauthor) | 21 comments Qiana,
No problem. I should have posted Zuda, but I'm not a huge fan of it. I'm always running across new comic sites and webcomic sites since I am in the market for a publisher. :)
Besides, it always nice to share. :D

J-Lynn Van Pelt | 5 comments This is such a great resource. Thanks.

Josh (jchristie) | 3 comments If you use StumbleUpon, stumbling in "comics" or "humor" is a great way to find stuff.

Chelsea (motokoaramaki) | 3 comments Would Penny Arcade count?

http://penny-arcade.com/

For manga, these are the sites I use:
mangafox.com <-- Good selection, and a nice layout. Has all your basic manga needs
mangavolume.com <-- Better selection, and it also has some series that you can't find anywhere else (like Gantz)
mangatraders.com <--Good for oneshots and hard to find things (like Ghost in the Shell)
http://unixmanga.com/onlinereading/in... <-- It has Akira in color, as well as difficult to find manga like Nausicaa.

Josh (jchristie) | 3 comments I'm shocked no one has mentioned Achewood, Chris Onstad's truly genius comic. If you like his stuff, Dark Horse released a hardcover of one of his major arcs last year - The Great Outdoor Fight.

Linda (revlinda) | 4 comments I love KXCD: http://xkcd.com

My son also has a couple of webcomics here:
http://psychoandy.com/hawkncroc/comic...
http://psychoandy.com/3rdsprite/comic...
and the one he is currently working on:
http://psychoandy.com/hawknkid/

Incidentally, our comic book store is featuring an artists days of Indies in June....

Willow (willowfire) The Order of the Stick at giantitp.com is a very well done webcomic that has a great storyline with the occasional gaming joke thrown in. Girl Genius is a good one too.

L. Petunia (petuniachan) | 1 comments My boyfriend's got a webcomic here (rated ages 16+):

http://www.jagged-edges.com

Jagged Edges is a social satire that chronicles the libido-induced misadventures of Cord Samson, a dimwitted, egomaniacal, perverse high school student, as he tries in vain to make sense of everything from politics to his attic full of restraining orders. By Cord’s side are his unwitting sidekick Mr. Sock (a sock puppet), naïve lackey extraordinaire Skyler Greenway, and a trio of the unluckiest teenage girls this side of a To Catch a Predator cast reunion.
