It's intense in parts.
I just finished "Angelfall" and give it 4 stars. Not at all what I expected but in a good way. The worst I can say about it is that it was over too soon - and that it will be a pain to wait for the next one to be published.
Random Book List #93Goal: Read ONE book from the list within a four-week period. Post a brief commentary about the book you read.

since I have read other books by Patricia Briggs and liked them"Be sure to read the novella in the anthology On the Prowl before reading Cry Wolf . It is an introduction to the Alpha & Omega series.

oh, I didn't know that, thanks
I finished Caressed By Ice for 'Kiss of Snow' by Nalini Singh ☆☆☆☆It was a quick read. Good book - worse than first but better than second IMHO. :)
I have read Alpha & Omega: A Companion Novella to Cry Wolf and Cry Wolf this weekend and really enjoyed them. 4 stars for both of them, even if there are a few repetitive bits in both books. Really, things don't have to be explained several times in every story to the reader. Otherwise a great read and I'm glad that I read the introduction first, a lot of the story wouldn't have made much sense otherwise
I finished Hunting Lila today 8/15th.This book is a fun, fast-paced, cheesy, slightly embarrassing to be into it so much, good time. Aside from Lila's over the top obsessive thoughts about Alex that dominated too much of the beginning of the story, I really enjoyed this YA bit of fluff. It was hard to put down and I'm going to read the next one.
What can I say, I am a sucker for a teenage crush mixed with light paranormal activity and that said crush and crushee fleeing for their lives ;)
I forgot to post this, but I finished
for Kiss of Snow last Aug. 22.As usual, Singh did not disappoint. It feels like a second Hawke/Sienna book.
hope this counts!Read
for Kiss of Snow on 8/13sigh. I keep waiting for this series to WOW me like her Guild Hunters series, but I'm just not getting it. Sometimes I can't believe the same author writes both sets, there is such a marked difference between the overall tone and style from each series. This one was actually better than the previous few, but really, I'm just trying to get through until I can read Kiss of Snow. I'm dreading the next few books...

and really enjoyed it! I liked to see the opposite perspective of the mercy thompson series. Where Mercy wants to be a loner, Anna wants to belong. I look forward to reading the rest of the Alpha and Omega series! *****

Based on Patricia Briggs'
Cry Wolf, here is our new list:
Friday Night Bites by Chloe NeillDragana - Some Girls Bite 9/30 ****
Switched by Amanda Hocking
Fair Game by Patricia Briggs (3)Yvonne - Hunting Ground 9/14 ****
Yvonne - 9/15 ****
Barbara ★ - 9/21 *****
Vi - Hunting Ground 9/28
Vi - 10/1 ****
Savor the Moment by Nora Roberts (1)Makenzie - 9/14 ****
All Together Dead by Charlaine Harris
Dead Reckoning by Charlaine Harris
Ghost Story by Jim ButcherTy - Summer Knight 10/3 ****
The Age of Miracles by Karen Thompson Walker
Fear by Michael Grant
The Wise Man's Fear by Patrick Rothfuss
Pride by Rachel Vincent
Magic Strikes by Ilona Andrews (1)Yz - Magic Bleeds 9/15 *****
Suzanne - 10/3
I have to see if I can attempt Fair Game since I have to catch up with the Mercy Thompson series for that. I will also be reading
for
.
since I wanted to continue the Alpha & Omega series anyway, I'll do that for this list - we'll see if I get to Fair Game
Although I am up to Dead Reckoning and should probably read that as it's sitting on my kindle, I am going to go with
And I read
as well... the story is getting weaker, but still 4 stars from me. This one was a bit predictable about one of the bad guys and the end was just... strange...
I was going to skip this list, but I think I try reading Some Girls Bite (instead of Friday Night Bites).
I read
back on the 13th, and I give it 4 stars. This series was a bit cheesy and predictable, but it was still a nice little bit of fluff that I really enjoyed. A great de-stresser.
I finished Magic Bleeds for Magic Strikes last Sept. 15. Another 5 star read from Ilona Andrews. I just really love Kate and Curran's relationship.
Nice introduction to the world and characters. Too bad it's not a very original plot. (the whole kick-ass heroine turned to vampire thing...)
I reread Hunting Ground on 28 Sep and finished Fair Game on October 1. I really liked Fair Game but I am glad I finished River Marked as FG has mild spoilers for the end of RM. I rated FG 4 stars with hope that Briggs continues both series soon.

finished
10/3 - ★★★★ favorite book so far in the series. The plot was much more cohesive and thought out. It's also great to see the female characters take on less of damsels-in-distress roles, although there was plenty of that too. I totally want to be a fairy queen!
