And how the gods work?
Or will that be carried on from the first RP?

And we want to create a power/magic system. Of course, since that was Adeolu's idea, I suggest he come up with the system, and then we make edits as necesary. :-)

So um...this is the first thing that came to my mind.
There's the head god or gods that form a government like thing that run the rules of what the major gods and goddesses cant and can do (think the volturi). And then there's the major gods such as Aegle and Felon and such except with a bit more power than what we let on in this rp. Then you have the finally Line of gods. The minor gods. They're like godlings but they have more power and authority but don't exactly 'rule'. Lastly we have the godlings which could be either direct godlings from the major gods, minor gods or work for the 'head' (government gods).
Beyond that we can elaborate more on how the godling system works and the government system.

Sounds interesting, may I suggest that godlings can also be humans who gods have imbued their powers in?
I have a rough "sketch" of a possible magic system based on the 4 elements:
If the character can do major magic [aside from healing minor wounds and such] or use magic to attack they must follow these guidelines:
~The character must be either a mage[single element], wizard[multiple elements] or sorcerer[not focused on the elements]
~Wizards: Can use combinations of two of the cardinal elements, advanced ones can use 3, and at the cost of the charrie's life they can control all 5 elements [makes for suspenseful plots/ways to kill off charries without sounding overly cliche]
~because they can manipulate multiple elements, they can never have full control over an element. And unless their elements are combined, any magical structures they make can easily be destroyed by a mage
~They choose their first element [the one they will be best at] in character creation and their second one during the RP
~Their only weapons can be weapons that peasants used [shurikens, short swords, bows etc]
~Mage: has total control over 1 element [that must be chosen at character creation]
~All of their magic is imbued with that 1 element. So if they battle another mage with that is dominant towards their element, their magic is all but useless.
~Mages can only use staves/staff as (a) weapon(s)
~the elements are: earth->air->water->fire->earth
~Wizards can combine their 2 chosen elements to create and use psuedo elements like storms [water & air] or magma [earth and fire]
~elements can increase the power of another element, if they're used together: air augments fire[greater flames], earth augments water[makes it more solid] and whatever else you can think of.
~the 5th element is: life. Any healers can use this element, but cannot use any of the other elements to fight. They can use this element to fight though [w/o instantly killing the enemy, think diseases and poison and aging. Of course this would come at a cost to the users own body]
I tried not to make it too limiting, but that's how it seems to have ended up. All criticisms are appreciated!

Its not as long as you think. Just rather detail prone, to eliminate loop holes and the such.

What is the plot exactly? So I may strive to fit it?

we dont have an exact plot but it's medieval. I'm thinking more of a modern medieval though and not a civilized one. Kinda like in this book http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/69.... But different. A mix with our regular rp except without all theese new people popping in whenever and wherever they like and mess up the rp (Aka not just like go in every which random direction).

How is it modern medieval? I've never heard of the book and the synopsis doesn't say much. Is it post apocalyptic? Is it like Starlighter? what makes it modern medieval?
The whole point was that it was medieval. In the medieval times everyone believed in these 4 elements and that everything worked that way. It was believed magic was done utilizing the 4 elements.
So you can see how I don't see how the magic could be medieval but ignore the 4 elements, while being different from the current RP. Could you please give me an example?

Gah ...maybe you'll understand this THE ODYSSEY! do you see them going around shooting fire balls at people or stomping a foot a earth wall being built infront of people? No. When I saw modern I mean our character would be more sophisticated and civilized. And they don't act quiet as ancient. But it's medieval because of the technlogy(like chariots and lovely shiz like that) and with the princess's and prince and such. Cept we add ability's to that.

I don't remember magic in the odyssey [story] so I looked it up and saw that its a magic-the gathering game. So, for clarification: what do you mean by Odyssey?

2. The magic won't be medieval magic, that would require the person to know about medieval magic. This is because medieval magic is incredibly extensive, I didn't realize that until I just looked it up. It involves knowing the hierarchy of angels and demons so you can summon them to do your bidding, and knowing the animals that go with the elements [sylphs, gnomes, salamanders,nymphs/undines]. Just to start.
3. medieval magic also included psychic powers, controlling the undead, and occultic magic.
So are we doing one of the classic magic systems [harry potter, charlie and the descendants of the red king etc] with limits and adjustments? Or do you really want to create an entirely new magic system that you will have to thoroughly explain?

That's just an approach involving developing the magic system with the future and logistics in mind though.
Another approach would be: What do you like about how our current system turned out? What would you change?

I suppose we'll wait here until somebody comes and says their thoughts on how the powers work in Rp 1, then.
At least we're making progress! Some progress is better then no progress!

Okay...
My opinion: I actually like the elemental thing. And I think it is VERY different from ATLA.
But, if you want something more similar to the first roleplay, the first roleplay had more random powers in it. There were traces of elemental, if you define darkness and lightness as elements. But there was also other randomness, like hyptnotism, mind reading, etc. They were more like "gifts" rather than a system of magic. Sort of like the graces in Kristin Cashore's Graceling, if you've read it.
So yeah, it's up to you guys.

((hehe he told me :D))
If the elemental stuff was more like Light and Darkness and magic bending and stuff yeah maybe.

I think it's probably a good idea to brainstorm just a tiny bit before we start making charries and the like :-).
