I'm split between Devious Minds (enemies-to-lovers romance) and From Scratch (cooking yum). I just might read them both. :)

Read
on 14th June. 2.5 starsI can't really say what was missing in Devious Minds. The idea was good but the execution needed more polish. All characters felt unfinished and like they couldn't decide what type of person they wanted to be.
This was another good read by MHC. However, it was very similar to the book on which this series is based: I've Got You Under My Skin. The Cinderella Murder by Mary Higgins Clark - 6/8/16 ♥♥♥♥
I suspect the next in this series will continue in the same vein.

"Ok I'm listening to
, does it better?"I read this in 2014, from memory I enjoyed learning about the brothers who had beeen introduced in the sea haven series, but the book itself was quite repetitive. I do have to be in the mood for CF.
I finished
and really enjoyed it. Shaky in the beginning but it was good. 4-stars.Now I went right into book 2

Random Book List Challenge #292I finished reading Finding Audrey by Sophie Kinsella and gave it 4 stars. I really enjoyed this book, the main character has Social Anxiety Disorder and I really liked how they made this mental illness relatable. I liked her brother who is a huge "LOC" gamer, which is probably a reference to World of Warcraft. I'm a huge WoW player so that was funny!
I read #5 The sisters of the heart series Fire Bound
I am afraid for me this is 2.5 * at best. The sex scenes were very long and graphic, and not to my taste. I did enjoy the plot line but the degree and description of violence was worthy of a dark mystery thriller. The level of violence has escalated with each book in the series.

Katherine wrote: "I want to read a book from this list and do I need to read exact book or I can read a first book??"You don't have the read the exact book, if the book is from a series. For example: for 'Born of Legend by Sherrilyn Kenyon', you can read any book from 'The League' series.
Hope I helped. :)
I read the following for this list:
(July 7) Sort of a fluff piece to satisfy Luxen fans. Cute but not much too offer. 3 stars.
(July 8) I know many IA's fans didn't like this book, but I did. It kept me engrossed all through out. 5 stars.

I have to admit when I looked at the star ratings and some of the reviews here on Goodreads, I was a bit discouraged. But I decided to just read it because I love most of Ilona Andrews' books. The beginning was a bit hard for me, but once I'd settled into it, I enjoyed the crazy ride. :)
I finished reading
. I couldn't put it down at the beginning, but it slowed a little for me towards the end so I rated it 3 stars.

I really enjoyed the first 4 in the series and felt so let down by #5. I will be interested to see what you think =^..^=

I have liked them so far. I loved the Ghostwalker series but couldn't stomach the Dark Carpathians.
I will try to finish up ShadowRider in the next couple of days and let you know

"The blurb sounds intriguing. What did you think of it?
I was a bit ambivalent about beginning
I was very disappointed in
and so I didn't commit to read a book from this set. However I decided to give
a go as it was the beginning of a new series and I am glad I did. Apart from (view spoiler) I gave it 4.5 stars.["br"]>["br"]>

I thought it was quite good. I particularly liked the mystery element that the story had. Another aspect I liked was that the heroine was actually looking for a husband but still had a strong will. A light read for a summer afternoon.

Thanks Aminiko =^..^=
Random Book List Challenge #297I finished reading Origins by Ilona Andrews and really enjoyed it! I gave it five stars and according to Goodreads this is a series but so far this is all she's got out at the moment. I really hope she expands on this universe because it was good!
I finished
. It was 4-Stars. I'm in the mafia-ish love story thing. Plus with the added supernatural element, it was just what I needed!

Random Book List Challenge #302I finished reading Seventh Grave and No Body by Darynda Jones and it was ok. I think this book pushed the believe-ability and seemed like the author is just going a bit over board with the story line.
I finished up the audiobook today:Fourth Grave Beneath My Feet by Darynda Jones - 9/5/16 ♥♥♥♥
What fun--plenty of action and lots of laughs. Not to mention the sexy Reyes.
