I need romance, I like fantasy, but I got to have romance too. I will think about it.

Is the dragon series IR? Are all of her books IR?

L'Poni (lponi) | 41 comments Ethel wrote: Is the dragon series IR? Are all of her books IR?

From what I know, her dragon series isn't interracial, but I think this one might be: http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/71...

MIGHT.

This is an interracial dragon book:
A Way to a Dragon's Heart by Xakara

So is this one: A Dragon's Promise by Dahlia Rose

And then there's me, a writer of interracial dragon stories (with sci fi added in).

message 162: by L'Poni (new)

L'Poni (lponi) | 41 comments No wait, that one by GA isn't interracial, because the leading lady is daughter to a dragon queen (who I'll assume isn't black/african of some sort). I saw it tagged on amazon is "bwwm," and after looking it up again, only 2 people tagged it with that. Sorry. I'll create a list for interracial dragon books for those interested.

message 163: by L'Poni (new)

L'Poni (lponi) | 41 comments I created the list, but there isn't much to it: http://www.goodreads.com/list/show/25...

Your welcome. I remembered the small press that a friend wanted me to submit to. They have interracial dragon stories. I haven't read any of them and the covers aren't too great but you might like it. Here's one of them: http://www.changelingpress.com/produc...

And here's the section I got it from: http://www.changelingpress.com/catalo...

The section is Elves, Dragons & Mythical Creatures. They also have an interracial section. 145 books listed.

Merry (merrym) | 77 comments Misinformation about the dragon series. The latest girl IS NOT the dragon queens daughter but her niece by marriage. The girls mom and dad are both black but her dad is dead and now her mom it's married to a dragon.

message 171: by Merry (new)

Merry (merrym) | 77 comments The latest book is "how to drive a dragon crazy." And yeah Deva, it's the G.A. Aiken (aka Shelly Laurenston)

Tanya Urban Fantasy Freak (tinky) | 33 comments The two IR books in the Dragon Kin series by GA Aiken are and The Distressing Damsel (Dragon Kin, #2) by G.A. Aiken How to Drive a Dragon Crazy (The Dragon Kin, #6) by G.A. Aiken - there's not too much sex & more plot in this series!

I have also read the 1st four books in the changeling press 'dragon kin series' - it's strictly erotic romance (which I like!) but are short stories that are short on plot

message 173: by L'Poni (new)

L'Poni (lponi) | 41 comments So they WERE interracial! Interesting.

Tanya Urban Fantasy Freak (tinky) | 33 comments It's so hard to find IR sci-fi & paranormal romance and I usually don't like contemporary romance whether it's white, black, or interracial.

I love Changeling Press, they have alot of unique interracial romance with sci-fi/pnr but they cost too much for what you get! It's usually a word count around 12,000-18,000 which is too short!

Try Smashwords. Search Interracial Sci Fi on Google. Truth be told, there aren't many AA interracial syfy authors, heck, there aren't many AA sci fi authors (besides myself). Did you try Octavia Butler's books? A guy that runs a bookstore told me she did vampire love stories waaaayyy before Twilight/Stephanie. He also said a lot of books have used her ideas.

Tanya Urban Fantasy Freak (tinky) | 33 comments yes I am a fan of Ms Butler - too bad she passed away :(
I've only read Kindred and the "parable" series, I never read the vampire novel but I have heard of it & will probably read it in the future.....

Some of the small publishers like loose id have some IR pnr but it's not released regularly :(

Are there any authors you favor from those small presses? Try and get the names of those IR authors, find some way to contact them and say you really love their work but it's hard to find it. Authors want to be as available as they can to their readers. They probably don't know you can't find their stuff. You have to point it out to them.

I'm not even going to lie...I read the rest of the series JUST to get to that book. Well worth the read, IMO.

Tanya Urban Fantasy Freak (tinky) | 33 comments Dragon Bound (Elder Races, #1) by Thea Harrison Dragon bound is not IR but True Colors (Elder Races #3.5) by Thea Harrison by Thea Harrison is IR

Tanya Urban Fantasy Freak (tinky) | 33 comments Oh yeah I recommend Darkness Bound by Mya by Mya for you Deva, it's PNR but there is only 2 sex scenes and they weren't raunchy or drawn out, and the heroine is a bada$$!

Dark Genesis (The Darkling Trilogy, #1) by A.D. Koboah

message 194: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Jackson (paperbackdiva) | 94 comments Okay, I hate when this happens to me! But I know someone here can help me. In fact I'm pretty sure this is the group where I learned of this book. I just finished reading it not long ago but can't remember the title or author. It's kind of Steampunk with gadgets and dragons and has an alternate magical earth. The hero is a young dragon rider from their Wales or Scotland who ends up in China in a secluded, paranoid place that doesn't like foreigners or magic so he's just double-doomed.

Do you know it?

Interesting. The whole "medieval times + technology" reminds me of my book (minus the wizards and samurais). I might add it to my TBR. It's almost like the Ar Tonelico series.
