Avery shrugged. "A little revenge on my brother." She grinned at Bennett evilly, meeting his gaze for a small moment.
Avery smirked. "He injured and scared one of my friends. Really badly, both of them. I told her I'd get revenge and I hold true to my promises."Metus lifted his head, glared at Bennett as if to say Don't move, and leaned back down.
Avery nodded with a sigh. "He's a douche," she explained. "And I'm sure if I told you who he was you'd know him."
"I probably would. Then again, I know a crap load of people here, so its no surprise," Bennett replied.
Avery chuckled, though she noticed Bennett's sudden lack of optimism. "You learn to deal with him." She gestured to the python resting comfortably in Bennett's lap. "This is my choice of dealing with him for today."
Avery chuckled. "I thought you said you weren't afraid of snakes." But she was watching Metus' every movement. With the slightest sign of frustration she would take the poisonous python away and into her own lap.Metus flicked his tongue again.
Avery paused, the new information automatically seeping into her mind. She smirked at Bennett. "I doubt he'll bite you," she said slowly. "But, if he manages to, then yes, I'm sure you'd be dead within the hour."
Bennett nodded. "Good to know. So if get bitten, tell everyone that I love them in the creepiest way possible and enjoy their reactions."
Avery sniggered. "I'll make sure to do that. Of course, I'm sure those magical Apollo children could whip something up in an hour to save your life." She watched Metus closely, knowing the tempermental snake well enough not to trust him.
"Ah yes, gotta remember Apollo." Bennett casually ran his fingers through his bright orange hair.
"Gods bless him," she said with a smile, making sure no sarcasm touched her voice so not to dishonor the god.
Avery looked at him incredulously, a dubious light to her green eyes. "I know that," she said with mock patience.
"What's the point in that?" Avery asked, faking innocence and acting as if he were the dumb one who came up with the idea.Metus coiled slowly, curling tighter, but only slightly. His tounge flicked again, and Avery's eyes flew down at his movements.
Avery rolled her eyes, still watching the snake's every move. "Yessir," she said with a smirk, though the smile didn't completely light up her face.
Avery reached out to take her snake out of Bennett's lap before something awful happened.Just then, Metus struck. It was simply one quick flip of his head, but it left two clear puncture wounds in Bennett's leg.
Avery cursed loudly and took the snake quickly, wrapping him instinctively around her shoudlers as she bent down beside Bennett.
Bennett gave something between a gasp and a shout of pain. The end result: something that sounded like a choking weasel. Not pleasant. Next, Bennett uttered would probably could have been the stupidest off comments.
"Oh sh*t..."
"Oh sh*t..."
Avery sighed and ran her hand along the wound gently, determining the amount of care needed. She cursed again and linked one of Bennett's arms around her neck, careful to keep it from Metus' head. "I'm taking you to the infirmary," she explained slowly to keep him conscious. "You'll feel dizzy, just slightly. Ignore it."
Just keep talking, she remembered her mother warning her. If you talk to them they won't be able to slip out. Avery tried to speak, to keep a conversation going, but she couldn't find the words as she led Bennett to the infirmary.((pouyf.))
Little by little, Bennett's eyelids sagged. By the time they reached the infirmary, Avery was practically dragging him.

Vienna's brown curls were flying in the breeze as she sat down and put her hat on her head in hope of taming the wild hair.
Lindsay saw a girl with the oposite hair color as her. She walked in her direction in a friendly way.
Vienna glanced behind her, saw Lindsay and smiled as she took a seat, hoping to find sanctuary from the wind amongst the grasses.
Lindsay smiled, feeling her hair whip around her face viciously. "What are you doing here? All alone?" She asked her.

Metus flicked his tongue at her, the perfect vision of laziness.
Avery rolled her eyes. "He'd better perk up; I'm using him later."
