Currently reading Making Money. So far, it's fun enough, although not as interesting as Going Postal.

Almost finished my The Lacuna and half-way through with Brain on Fire: My Month of Madness. Kingsolver never disappoints me, and those interested in medical/mystery would enjoy Cahalan's autobiography.

I'm currently enjoying Big Bang: The Origin of the Universe by Simon Singh. This guy really knows how to write science in a way that's accessible and entertaining to laypeople.

If it has to be an english book, then it is Tolstoy's War and Peace. I hope I will carry on with it :")

I'm done reading How to Betray a Dragon's Hero and waiting for the last book of this series. Hopefully next year *fingers cross*
Now I'm confused whether I should read Her Fearful Symmetry or The Cuckoo's Calling.
Any advise?

I just finished The Summer of the Ubume. It's a very fascinating and unusual read. The pace is a little bit slow, though.

I finished with with Defending Jacob and Storm Front, both to which I gave 3 stars.
Now I have convinced myself to tackleThe Way of Kings, my first big book (over 1000 pages) I've read in a while. Wish me luck!

Right now, I read light book (YA novel). My latest novel that I read is Flat out love. I already finished The Summer I become Nerd and it's hilarious and sweet. I love sweet thing. Sometimes I want to read heavy book with heavy genre, but my mind refuse to agree. Kind of sad :|

I haven't read it, but I've read The Killing Moon and I love it!
I've just finished Edding's Elenium trilogy, and now I'm into The Way of Shadows. Hopefully it'll be an amazing story!
Started reading The Opium War by Julia Lovell. A non-fiction book about China's Opium War. Looks promising so far!

I'm re-reading Mediator Series by Meg Cabot. If u into YA with some ghost-busting stuff check it out. I just like how the main female-protagonist (Sussannah Simon) thought.

Oni, my GR friend, wrote similar thing. It seems The Killing Moon is very good.
I give up reading a game of thrones. After i watched the series, i lose interest. And now i'm reading Animal Farm-George Orwell.

@Namida: I gave up after the fourth book. It had potential but I simply couldn't sustain my interest. Animal Farm's good. Short, succinct and to-the-point.

One book away from finishing my GR Challenge and I pick The Cuckoo's Calling. The story is pretty interesting, more old style detective than new style, so I keep reading it. Though for the benefit of my reading challenge I should've picked thinner book.

@Lynossa : Could you please write a review on that? I am intrigued but not that interested in reading anything Rowling wrote after HP. She is a bit over-hyped imho. Good luck with the reading challenge. One more day~ ^^

I will. So far it's pretty interesting, a bit slow perhaps for those who like fast-paced crime stories. I like the old style better (like Christie's for example).
It kinda helps not to think this as Rowling's actually, although I notice her writing style here and there, especially in describing environment and characters.

Just finished Kafka on The Shore from Haruki Murakami. To quote one of my friends, it is indeed confusing, but it is a really page-turner. I'm currently reading More Than This from Patrick Ness.

@Namida choose your words wisely when explaining ASOIAF series to Silvana. Silvana is a passionate fan of ASOIAF.

Done with The Cuckoo's Calling and now I'm moving on to Smoke and Mirrors. I don't know which one published first, this book or Fragile Things: Short Fictions and Wonders or M is for Magic, but I found stories I read in those two books.
As soon as I'm done with this book I'm thinking about reading The Stockholm Octavo or The Goldfinch

Start reading Because of Winn-Dixie by Kate DiCamillo. It's a fairly short book, so I expect to finish it quickly.
