What Are You Reading?

, another classic. It's eerie to think that this story is nearly 75 years older than me but still have a charm to be read and reread over and over again. I don't think that 75 years later I would be here or someone might want to see me, much less to see me over and over again. Even I don't want to see me, 75 years later.

That reminds me of my childhood. :')
am reading national geographic magazine, may edition. hehehe... not quite a book, but well, it provides me with windows to the world, too....
Translating National Geographic articles is one of my favorite assignments! I always learn something new.
I love NatGeo! I try to get the English edition but sometimes I can only find the Indonesion version, then sometimes I'd end up with same article on both of them ;_;
Right now i'm reading
Hehehe...i know it is a lil bit too late for reading WoT series..but the thread makes me curious :D
I'm currently reading
(the translated one :D) and
by Katie McGarry. The latter because I was so intrigued with the book after I read asdewi's 5-star review. Hehehe..
Currently reading Eugene B Sledge's With the Old Breed: The World War Two Pacific Classic. It is his memoir as a Pacific War veteran. Good stuff!
Reading
to prepare my self for read the next, Heart of Obsidian.I forget who had read Nalini Singh's books beside me. Is it you, Dewi?

i'm currently ready pleague by michael grant and i cannot seemed to stop being so suprised, eventhough some parts are really gory and disgusting, i find that this series is really good. :)

"Thank you for those kind words! Though we're no geniuses here, just your ordinary translators who love their jobs.
i'm reading A Dance With The Dragons by G. R. R. Martin right now.@lala: I love Nat Geo! The article about Zimbabwe and soil fertilizer in this month edition really opened my mind!
@ femmy n nenangs: i never regret the day i read eye of the world *lebay :DThough i havent finish this book one, i already search for the second book..and luckily i find the cheapest price in periplus online..hehehe :)
Hey hey, awww its been a while huh. So,I just finished Coelho's Manuscript Found in Accra and The Time Keeper by Mitch Albom. Like those two books, but Time Keeper is way better, the story hooked me up. About Coelho's most recent, well, I can't say there are stories in it. It's kind of q&a book. Now I'm reading Hosseini's And The Mountains Echoed, read the first second chapter and I really like it.
starting Artist in Crime by Ngaio Marsh... it's an audiobook read by the handsome with sexy voice Mr. Benedict Cumberbatch. Love hearing his many accents while reading it
yup :)this is my third audiobook read by him...well, 2 finished 1 unfinished. The story of Casanova was so dull even his sexy voice couldn't make me listen to it till finish.

Do you pre-order the book? :D I know it's expensive (being hardcover at all), but I can't wait to read it too :P. I'm dying to discuss some part from Heart of Obsidian, but don't have any friend to discuss it *sad face*
Just finish Tangle of Need, and really love it. Now into the anthology
@Ren, well you can discuss it with me :D I'll order it but prefer it on e-book format, and honestly I don't know when it will come out on Kindle :(But for sure, when I get it on my hands I will read it straight out!
@Maria: You're not the only one. I think I give up on the-Great-Gatsby-that's-not-so-Great halfway through, and skimmed the rest.

Never tried audiobook before, but since you mentioned Mr. Benedict, I might just try. His voice is... divine!

@Lala if you want to try audiobook for the first time, try Metamorphosis (also read by Benny) it's way better than Artist in Crime.I try to finish AIC because I like listening to his accent...storywise meh

Thanks Farah! Will surely try
OOh, then you should definitely check the other Hannibal series! There's
that launched a thousand fans *laughs*Then the sequel
. Lastly the prequel of it all
I wish there were more ....

The 'greatness' of Great Gatsby might emerge when you read it in its social context/background.This work is a critique on American misunderstanding on the American dream. Almost all characters are depicted will social illness and blindness. Best!
That might be right. I also read Uncle Tom's Cabin and Of Mice and Men, and while they made good reads I don't find them that 'great'.
