I didn't like the end because I thought it was completely predictable (if by 'the end' you mean the resolution of the mystery), and the author just used too many easy ploys to try to keep it a secret. If you're talking about the epilogue, I still didn't like it, because I thought it was just plain cheesy.
All I can say it I hope there is a sequel because I did not think it ended well. When I turned the last page I could not believe that was it. It left so many things unfinished. I was not at all happy with the ending
i totallly agree with tina and i think i would have liked it more if one of the characters like aurelia or robert had died.
they definatly have to make a sequel, that ending was just waaay too open and it didnt solve all of Aurelia's problems. Though i still liked it because it solved the assasin problem nicely and left the book needing a sequel. And i dont think anyone else shouldve died, especially not robert or aurelia. i guess like the queen or someone like that couldve died, but i think its fine as it is.
I enjoyed the book, although I thought it was pretty obvious what was going on. I was upset that Melony totally got away with it, and was also disappointed in the confrontation between Aurelia and Melony. If your sister just planned to have you killed, multiple times, I'd be a little upset. Instead its more of Melony getting mad at Aurelia for Chris dying. That was lame. I was also upset that Aurelia didnt try and pursue more information about her mother or say that she is going in search of her, instead of just touring the country.
Also, she seems to give up her crown pretty easily. She claims to love her country and want to help the people but doesnt even fight for it.
I was disappointed and surprised to learn that her father was pretty much using her as a political pawn and wasnt even upset that his younger daughter was trying to kill his elder daughter. But, he was a pig anyway for cheating on his wife and really only cared about himself.
I read that this will be a trilogy, and I really hope that it is so some of these things will be worked out in later books.
I was annoyed that Melony got away with trying to killer her sister. It sounded like she even is going to get rewarded and become queen. The whole book it goes on and on about how all the people love Aurelia. Why push her away then. I hope there is a sequel so hopefully some of these things get addressed.

I didn't really like the end because I felt that it didn't finish the story. I find myself really hoping that the author writes a sequel.
