Ok, I've got some good news and some bad news. Good news for Slytherin that is and bad news for everybody else. I've just finished numbers 2 and 5 which brings my personal total at 110 points. I'll also start reading the HP books. I've seen HP and the deathly hallows part one yesterday and it inspired me to read the books again to refresh my memory and check the movie against the books so that will be a lot of points soon.
Never thought I was going to say this as a Harry Potter fan but SLYTHERIN RULES!!!!!!

Ha ha. And my Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows book just arrived so I'm gonna be adding 20 points in the foreseeable future too. The rest of you can just give up now...
Blah blah blah to all you Slytherins! :) (kidding)
I just finished Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets so add that to my total whooooo hoooo!

Finished nr 3. That makes it 90 in the counting plus two HP books which makes 130!!!! Oh my word I'm so proud of myself :)

The points are listed in the first post, along with individual totals. Lu hasn't updated the most recent points, but you can still can an idea of how things are going.

Score 60

Anyway, I'm done with The Lightning Thief (no. 1) so that's 10 more points to Ravenclaw and my total goes up to 50:)

That leaves my total at 140.
Ah jee whiskers! But thanks for letting us know Lauren, now I'll have to go find another book with special abilities :)

70 points 7/20
I've been sick this week which didn't give me a chance to updat my points but did give me a chance to read HP books. So far I have read the first 4 and have started number 5. So the first four books is 80 more points for Slytherin and gives me a total of 190.

About no. 14, after reading Lauren's comment(thank you, Lauren!) I realised that I'd have to change my book choice as well, so I was thinking of reading Shadow's Edge(Night Angel#2) by Brent Weeks, since there's a character, Dorian, who sees the future. Will that work?

Niecole and Sarah: lol, sorry guys, I hadn't realised anyone else had done the same. Sookie still works for the abilities task in the mythology challenge though. Sarah, the Brent Weeks sounds fine to me.

Its funny how being ill can have its upsides Barbara. I have also been reading quite alot due to illness. Been very lucky with book choices aswell and all of them have been really enjoyable. Hope you get better soon.
Thanks Emma, I'm already on the mend and with a day or two I should have recovered completely. How is your illness going? I hope it's not too bad. To my fellow slytherins I have to say that I will do my best to read the last 3 HP books as fast as I can, but I have a bit of a distraction. I live in the Netherlands and yesterday afternoon it started snowing and it has been snowing ever since and since my cats don't understand snow even though they have seen it several times they are behaving very funny and I can hardly concentrate on reading. So forgive me if this week I don't read as much.

Shame, poor cats! I wasn't much of a cat person until I recently owned one for a short while, and now I can appreciate their oddities.
Hope you and Emma feel better soon!

I know, but I very much like we are in the lead. I know that as the year progresses our lead will become smaller as other houses will catch up and we run out of tasks to be finished but still.... I don't want to sound mean but hey I'm in Slytherin we have a reputation don't we????
Having said all that I've just finished HP and the Order of the Phoenix and that brings my total up to 210 points.

Finished this one today

I really wasnt that keen on reading any Harry Potter books, not that I dont like them, its just Im not a person to re-read books, unless they are exceptional. I might just read HP for a few extra points for my team.
90 points Total
Hey Lu, are you re-reading the whole series or just the half-blood prince? The reason I ask is that I'm re-reading the whole series and it has been a while for me and I never noticed before how funny the books really are. There are a lot of simple things going on like for example with Errol and Pigwidgeon that make me laugh out loud. I was wondering if I was the only one or if other people have the same experience.

Finished Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
Total 250

That puts me at 40 points.
Ooh Diane. That's a great book and usefull too. You can switch it to another task later on if you have to.
