message 151: by Amina (new)

Amina (journalistam) Most things are logical about relegion... only the begining isn't.

message 152: by Emma (new)

Emma (zeeberg) Facts are logical. Proof is logical. Science is logical. Scientific facts are logical. Relegions, like the ones you and I believe in, are not.

message 153: by Amina (new)

Amina (journalistam) I think they are... except the begining, as I said.

message 154: by Emma (new)

Emma (zeeberg) I disagree. Logic is, as I explained, scientific facts. Relegion and science? Not a good cocktail.

message 155: by Amina (new)

Amina (journalistam) I think it does, and I told you why

message 156: by Emma (new)

Emma (zeeberg) "It is studied primarily in the disciplines of philosophy, mathematics, and computer science"

message 157: by Michele (new)

Michele bookloverforever (lovebooks14) | 158 comments The roman catholic church only "forgave" galileo for being right in the last 25 yrs. religion and science rarely agree although St.Thomas Aquinas certainly tried.

message 158: by Kylee (new)

Kylee (kyleeraereader) How can religion be logical if it can't be proven as facts?

message 159: by Michele (new)

Michele bookloverforever (lovebooks14) | 158 comments rowan, read st. thomas aquinas. Basically, he believed that all life was a miracle and proved the existance of god. I believe that God created life but used evolution to do so. Belief in god is a belief in the unprovable. It's why they call it a leap of faith. It's a belief in the unseen, the ultimate mystery, the unknowable. The more I learn about science the more I believe in God. I do not believe it was all an accident.

message 160: by Amina (new)

Amina (journalistam) Err, yeah there is facts. And logic isn't just facts... logic is also common sense.

message 161: by Emma (new)

Emma (zeeberg) Relegion is not a fact. It's a belief.

Now excuse me, I have HW to do :)

message 162: by Annemarie (new)

Annemarie Carlson (annielawlz) | 470 comments Actually there are not really facts... It's just your faith. Which, it isn't a bad thing to have faith in something and believe in whatever you so choose. But, its definitely not logical.

message 163: by Amina (new)

Amina (journalistam) As I said, logic is common sense too..

message 164: by Annemarie (new)

Annemarie Carlson (annielawlz) | 470 comments What does common sense have to do with anything?

message 165: by Amina (new)

Amina (journalistam) Because common sense is logic. That's where science cums frum

message 166: by Annemarie (new)

Annemarie Carlson (annielawlz) | 470 comments Yes, and science is logical, and religion is not.

message 167: by Amina (new)

Amina (journalistam) And common sense is logic. And relegion is logic because it's common sense.

message 168: by Annemarie (new)

Annemarie Carlson (annielawlz) | 470 comments Religion is not common sense! My common sense doesn't tell me to be religious. My common sense doesn't tell me that there is a God. My common sense tells me that a God is a ridiculous idea. My common sense tells me to not put all things in faith.

Your common sense is a lot different, from not just mine, but a lot of people's.

message 169: by Amina (new)

Amina (journalistam) Well a lot of people's common sense says that it's common sense that God exists. It's just the differnce of minds.

message 170: by Annemarie (new)

Annemarie Carlson (annielawlz) | 470 comments That's sort of what I'm trying to say. But common sense isn't really proof of anything.

message 171: by Emma (new)

Emma (zeeberg) Kay...... Can we just state that relegion and science don't go well together?

message 172: by Annemarie (new)

Annemarie Carlson (annielawlz) | 470 comments Yeah! Religion doesn't even NEED proof. If you have faith then everything is cool. It's not a bad thing that religion isn't logical.

message 173: by Amina (new)

Amina (journalistam) No it isn't... only that relegion is logical.

message 174: by Annemarie (last edited Dec 02, 2010 01:28PM) (new)

Annemarie Carlson (annielawlz) | 470 comments All religions can't be logical. If you religion is logical, then one isn't. Your religion isn't the only right one, Christianity isn't the only right one. Religion can't be logical because there is no proof, sorry.

message 175: by Amina (new)

Amina (journalistam) There's common sense and common sense is enough logic. And common sense can differ frum indivisual to indivisual so a person might think Christianity is logic, a person mite think Islam is common sense or a person might think no relegion is common sense. But all three, for all three persons, is logic.

message 180: by Annemarie (new)

Annemarie Carlson (annielawlz) | 470 comments I don't want to say anything. I'm tired of arguing with Amina.

message 181: by Emma (new)

Emma (zeeberg) Fai enough. Wanna make fun of redheads?

(Redhead people: Do not take offense :) )

message 190: by Kylee (new)

Kylee (kyleeraereader) I think she means that you are stubborn and refuse to admit defeat, as does she, and your agrument is clearly going no where. No offense.

Kylee (kyleeraereader) I didn't mean your arguement as in your's Amina... I was just talking about the general argument between you two.

Joyzi (joit) | 26 comments I don't know, seriously who could have know?

message 199: by Anna (new)

Anna Banana | 156 comments No one knows. If we did we would have one less thing to worry about. People make guesses such as paradise and reincarnation. But no one knows till they've tried it, and then they are no longer alive to come back and tell us how it is.

message 200: by Amina (new)

Amina (journalistam) Might as well be good and pray and hope instead of worry about what'll happen then, right?
