November challenge - Choices challenge

Duration - November

Choose your level and categories! This month's challenge is to read books which fit in the categories below. See below for the challenge levels (easy/meduim/hard)

How to play - select your challenge level then choose your categories.

The categories
1. Urban Fantasy - Any urban fantasy book.
2. Paranormal Romance - Any paranormal romance book.
3. On recommendation - A PNR/UF book that has been recommended to you. Who by?
4. Off the shelf - A book you've been meaning to read for ages, read it now!
5. Old favourite - A book by one of your favourite authors (or a reread of a favourite book)
6. New to me - A new to you author.
7. New release - Any book released recently.

Challenge levels
EASY 2 books - Choose from categories 1 to 3.
MEDIUM 4 books - All of the categories 1 to 3, PLUS one from categories 4 to 7.
HARD 7 books - ALL seven categories!

Try to keep your choices mainly PNR/UF (the old favourite is exempt from this rule!)

I'll give this one a go... it'll help shift a bunch off my stupidly long reading list :P The list might chance without warning though, it depends on what I find in the library.

3) Sunshine (recommended by... I don't remember who. Someone who was at my Sixth Form last year, I think)
4) The Vampire Lestat (it's been sat on my shelf for ages!)
5) The Queen of the Damned (I loved "Interview", so Anne Rice is going on the list twice)
6) Dead Witch Walking
7) Sea Glass (fairly recent release. If not, then it's new to my shelf at least)

Edit on 19/11: Looking ever more unlikely that I'll manage all of them, but I'll keep trying for the easy challenge using the first two on the list. NaNoWriMo has eaten all my reading time. D:

No offense but I would really not recommend Sunshine. It's pretty boring and I only got half way through the book before I gave up on it. I normally force myself to finish books but I couldn't do it with that one.

I actually really enjoyed Sunshine. I was a little skeptical at first because it doesn't seem like McKinley's style but it worked out in the end. I hope for your sake that it works out for you, Jayne! And if not, like you said, you can always choose something else. The choices for these challenges aren't set in stone. =)

I took a quick peek at your to read shelf, and noticed you have the ACRO series by Sydney Croft on there. I would recommend any of those. I really enjoy that series.
