I haven't read North & South, but the BBC movie was really good. If you like the book you should check out the movie!

Thanks :) Actually, I saw the movie a couple of days ago and was blown away and that's why I bought the book. You are right, it is such a good movie. I'm excited to see how the book turns out, compared to it.

I went to my local used bookstore and picked up
and not YA
For every one book I read I buy 4 more..not good
I went to the library again... I borrowed:
. I requested 5 and 6 from one of the local branches but they were missing. Someone stole them! Can you believe... stealing from the library that lets you use their items for free already! Anyway I also got these from the free rack:
(different cover)
and a biography of Ernest Hemingway.
This week I bought
I recently read ‘Before I die’ and I was so deeply moved by it that I had to buy her latest book.
I got
at a yardsale for $2. I'm glad I only paid $2 because I just looked at the reviews and they aren't great. I also bought the board game Othello for $1 and just kicked the hubby's ass! :) I'm pretty proud of myself, lol.

I went garage saling too!I found
, and I also found
.These aren't books that I've been dying to read or anything, but at .50 a book I couldn't resist.
Great finds, Wendy! I love the Inkheart Trilogy! The first book starts slow but it is so worth it in my opinion to stick with it. There are strong characters, a great fantasy story and a world you just get sucked into. I love those books. I hope you do too so we can chat about them. The last book is Inkdeath. I am going to read The Thief Lord by the same author in audio soon. I have been collecting her books for years now.

I've got to get my hands on the last one. I hoped they'd have it, but they didn't.It'll be a bit before I get to reading them because I have soooo much to read (and I can't seem to stop buying, haha) but I can't wait to chat about them.
I just downloaded
(had it from the library but had to return it)
(I read the first 3 in high school and thought they were just okay but I wanted to re-read them and try the 4th)

I am currently reading the fourth one. I am hoping another branch has 5 and 6 because I can borrow from others in the network and have it sent to my local library. :)

UGLIES! :) I really liked that series. I think it was so unique. There are more books after the first 3. You should look for them if you like those. And of course I am sure many of you know how much I love Shiver so I am rereading this month too. :)
Sarah wrote: "Cristina- I am on Clash of Kings right know! Soo good. I love this series.

Two recent purchases!"
I'm loving the series as well but its taking me longer to read it than I'm used to.
Cristina- Same here... They are quite big books with lots going on. So I find it best to take my time!
I just got from the library
which I heard that was good and one that I picked up at random
. I am going to read Heist Society first! ;-)
I just bought another copy of Promise by Kristie Cook (because I gave my other one away and want to re-read it!) and Nightspell by Leah Cypess.
I just bought
After months of searching for a hardcover, my local bookstore finally brought it in! :)

Worth every penny IMO. I am holding out for another month or so when it is released in paperback and I may buy myself a copy.

Glad to hear that :) I've heard so much amazing things about this book and it had frustrated me so much that both bookstores in my area had zero copies. Oh yea, the paperback is coming out in August right? I was gonna wait too, but then I just saw it and I guess the excitement of finally finding one copy made me budge, haha. I just had to get it :)
